JFreeChart CategoryPlot overwrites categories

Hi, I am new to using JFreeChart and I'm sure there is a simple solution to my problem . . PROBLEM: I have a chart that shows multiple "events types" along the date X axis. The Y axis shows the "event category". My problem is that only the latest date of an event type is shown for each category. In the example below The chart shows data points for Event Type 1 at June 20th(Category 1) and at June 10th (Category 2). I had also added a data point for June 10th, Category 1 but the June 20th point erases it. I think I am misunderstanding how the CategoryPlot is working. Am I using the wrong type of chart? I thought a scatter chart would be the ticket but it only accepts numerical values. I need to have discrete string categories on my Y-axis. If anyone can point me in the right direction, you would really make my day. Thanks for reading! -Christine (The code below works as-is. ant undeploy task error

I am using ant 1.7 to deploy and undeploy applications in tomcat //Snippet from my build.xml <target name="deploy" depends="war" description="Install application to the servlet containor"> <deploy the undeploy task gives an html output for the undeploy task prefixed with [undeploy] although the application is undeployed successfully The html message also contains the success message 'OK - I'm attempting to overlay a bitmap on some video. I create a bitmap in memory, then I call SelectObject to select it into a memoryDC, so I can perform a DrawText operation on it. JQuery - Adding Cells to Dynamic Tree Table

I can't quite wrap my head around this one... A table like the one below is spit out by a renderer from some XML. The XML it comes from has a variable depth. User clicks cell "1 2" (which will have an ID). An item is dynamically added to the third level, but UNDER "1 2 6". What I could do is just add another row underneath "1 2" and increase the rowspan from "1 2", but the new cell would then appear out of order amongst "1 2 5" and "1 2 6". I don't really need the exact code to do this, just something to stop my head from spinning around this...Thanks!

Wrong background colors in Swing ListCellRenderer

I'm currently trying to write a custom ListCellRenderer for a JList. Unfortunately, nearly all examples simply use DefaultListCellRenderer as a JLabel and be done with it; I needed a JPanel, however (since I need to display a little more info than just an icon and one line of text). Now I have a problem with the background colors, specifically with the Nimbus PLAF. Seemingly the background color I get from list.getBackground() is white, but paints as a shade of gray (or blueish gray). Outputting the color I get yields the following: Background color: DerivedColor(color=255,255,255 parent=nimbusLightBackground offsets=0.0,0.0,0.0,0 pColor=255,255,255 However, as can be seen, this isn't what gets painted. It obviously works fine for the selected item. Currently I even have every component I put into the JPanel the cell renderer returns set to opaque and with the correct foreground and background colors—to no avail. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? I am trying to have an ubuntu box (192.168.10.9) acting as a PXE server, but i have trouble getting DHCP to work. The PXE server is connected to a SOHO router (192.168.10.1) acting as a switch. I have an SAP BI Portal system and an SAP BW system. In the Visual Administrator of the BI Portal, section 'JCo RFC Provider' I have created some RFC listeners. In the SAP BW system (in transaction SM59), I have created, tested and activated the relevant RFC connections. TortoiseSVN hangs in Windows Server 2012 Azure VM

Following @shanselman's article on remoting into an Azure VM for development, I spun up my own VS 2013 VM, and that image runs on WS 2012. Once I was able to remote in, I started installing all my dev tools, including Tortoise SVN 1.8.3 64bit. Things went south once I started attempting to check out code from my personal svn server. It would hang and freeze often, although sometimes it would work - I was able to partially check out projects, but I would get frequent connection time out errors. My personal svn server (VisualSVN 2.7.2) runs at home on a windows 7 machine, and I have a dyndns url pointing to it. I have also configured my router to passthrough all 443 traffic to the appropriate port on the server. I self-signed a cert and made sure it was imported into the VM cert store under trusted root authorities. I have no problems connecting to my svn server from 4-5 other computers & locations. From the Azure VM, in both IE and Chrome, I can access the repository web browser with no issues. There are no outbound firewall restrictions. I have installed other SVN add-ons for Visual Studio (AnkhSVN, VisualSVN) and attempted to connect with my svn server, with largely the same results - random and persistent connection issues (hangs/timeouts). I spun up a completely fresh WS 2008 Azure VM, and installed TortoiseSVN, and had the same results. So I'm at a loss as to what the problem is and how to fix it. Web searches on tortoisesvn and windows server issues doesn't yield any current or relevant information. At this point, i'm guessing that maybe some setting or configuration that MS Azure VM images is the culprit - although I should probably attempt to spin up my own local WS VM to rule out that it's a window server issue. Any thoughts? I hope I'm just missing something really obvious!

Smart Array P400 - Accelerator Replacement Battery Failure

TL;DR - Is the immediate failure of a replacement battery, for a failed battery, on a battery backed accelerator for a Smart Array P400 controller a common occurrence? Or are we likely to have an storage controller with an impending and critical fault? We have a slightly confusing situation with a Smart Array P400 storage controller with the 512mb battery backed accelerator addon on an HP DL380 server. The storage controller is (afaik) running the latest firmware and driver: Model: Smart Array P400 Controller Status: OK Firmware Version: 7.24 Serial Number: *snip* Rebuild Priority: Medium Expand Priority: Medium Number Of Ports: 2 The storage diagnostic (both on the both boot-up screen for the controller and within the 'Management Homepage' and the 'HP Array Diagnostic Utility') recently starting showing the following status a fault for the battery for the accelerator: Accelerator Status: Temporarily Disabled Error Code: Cache Disabled Low Batteries Serial Number: *snip* Total Memory: 524288 KB Read Cache: 25% Write Cache: 75% Battery Status: Failed Read Errors: 0 Write Errors: 0 We replaced the battery with a new unit (a visual inspection of the P400 card showing nothing unusual) and saw the same fault - but expected this to disappear over the course of a few hours/days as it charged. This didn't happy, and the fault status remains the same as above. Given the battery is a genuine part from HP, I wouldn't have expected a replacement battery to fail straight away, or to be dead-on-arrival (is that naivety on my part?). Is the immediate failure of a replacement battery, for a failed battery, on a battery backed accelerator a common occurrence? Or are we likely to have an storage controller with an impending and critical fault? Is there any diagnostic that could tell me more about the failed battery, without cracking the server open again? VLC (Server) re-stream Security Camera Feed

I purchased a Swann Home Security DVR system and was hoping for some help on how to duplicate the streaming video on my server. In order to get their web view (streaming video in the browser) to work, I had to install the following plugins: HiDvrPlugin.dmg for mac. Hidvrocx.cab for Windows. I was originally thinking it was a sign of some form of DRM? Maybe. Maybe not. HTML wise, the following code is in the source of the safari version of the web view: <embed pluginspage="SurveilClient.dmg" width="10px" height="10px" type="application/x-scplugin" id="MacDiv" style="height: 592px; width: 720px; left: 278px; top: 61px; "> It seems to be the main display area. Using wireshark, I am able to see that the video stream is on port 9000. However, I have no idea what type of stream it is. I've tried opening it in VLC with no such luck. http://dvr_ip:9000 tcp://dvr_ip:9000 My hope was to do the following to redistribute the feed vlc dvr_ip:9000 --sout h264-version-on-localhost:3000 TLDR; Trying to re-distribute a stream from a security camera (can't tell the format) using vlc (re-distribute via h.264 / HTML5). Not sure how to accomplish this. Is it possible that the software has some type of DRM that only the plugins can decode?

WinXP: Error 1167 -- Device (LPT1) not connected

I am writing a program that opens LPT1 and writes a value to it. The WriteFile function is returning an error code of 1167, "The device is not connected". The Device Manager shows that LPT1 is present. I have a cable connected between a development board and the PC. The cable converts JTAG pin signals to signals on the parallel port. Power is applied and the cable is connected between the development board and the PC. The development board is powered on. I am using: Windows XP MS Visual Studio 2008, C language, console application, debug environment. Performance analytics via DBMS "plugins", or other solution

I'm working on a systems monitoring product that currently focuses on performance at the system level. We're expanding out to monitoring database systems. Right now we can fetch simple performance information from a selection of DBMS, like connection count, disk IO rates, lock wait times, etc. However, we'd really like a way to measure the execution time of every query going into a DBMS, without requiring the client to implement monitoring in their application code. Some potential solutions might be: Some sort of proxy that sits between client and server. SSL might be an issue here, plus it requires us to reverse engineer and implement the network protocol for each DBMS. Plugin for each DBMS system that automatically records performance information when a query comes in. Other problems include "anonymising" the SQL, i.e. taking something like SELECT * FROM products WHERE price > 20 AND name LIKE "%disk%" and producing SELECT * FROM products WHERE price > ? AND name LIKE "%?%", though this shouldn't be too difficult with some clever parsing and regex. We're mainly focusing on: MySQL MSSQL Oracle Redis mongodb memcached Are there any plugin-style mechanisms we can utilise for any of these? Or is there a simpler solution?

To gain access to WIFI at university I have to login with my user/pass credentials. The certificate of their website (the local home page that asks for the credentials) is not recognized as a trusted certificate, so we install it separately on our computers. The problem is that I don't take my laptop with me often to university, so I usually want to connect using my HTC Magic, but I have no clue on how to install the certificate separately on Android, it is always rejected. How can I trigger the creation of a new CLB file?

I'm currently having a problem with an application using COM running on Windows Vista. The application runs ok on one machine, but doesn't work on a similar configured machine. Both machines are virtual images originating from the same source image. While searching the registry for causes of this error, I came across the CLBVersion key in HKCR\CLSID which seems to have something to do with COM. The value of the key differs between the two machines (0x6 on the erroneous one, 0xc on the working one). Also there are files containing the same number in their filenames in the %SystemRoot\Registration directories of the machines. They are called R000000000006.clb and R00000000000c.clb respectively. I have already searched the windows event log for anything leading to the creation of those files (I have searched by the creation date of the files). Now a few questions regarding the registry keys and the files: Is it correct, that this is connected to COM? What is the function of the files? What causes the creation of a new "CLBVersion"? Is there a way for me to trigger the creation of a new CLB file? edit: I have now found out, that this has nothing to do with my application error. But I would still be interested in details about the registry key and the files. An installation of Visual Studio 2005 has brought the second machine to the same configuration (0xc in registry and file) as the other one.

Powerpoint 2010 crash on quickstyle menu

Windows 7 64-bit, recent install, added Office 2010. When I create some boxes and open the quick-style menu, it crashes (or stops responding, in windowese, and then it sends an error report). I've run the "Repair" from the installer, but it didn't help. There's nothing in Windows Update I've Googled and searched on Microsoft's site, but n Any other ideas? Can't Copy to Clipboard from Vim

I'm running Vim 7.3 under Linux Mint 13 (using MATE) and I'm not able to save text to the system clipboard. I run Vim in the terminal and copy text from the terminal with CTRLINSERT. When I select text in Vim (either with the mouse or in visual mode), CTRLINSERT doesn't copy any text. In addition when I right-click, Copy is grayed out. Further, I can't write to the system buffer by yanking to the corresponding register using vim commands. However, I'm able to paste while in insert mode (using SHIFTINSERT or right-click paste). I'm also able to copy text directly from the terminal using the same technique, just not text from Vim. Here is my current ~/.vimrc. The relevant part is most likely set clipboard=autoselect,unnamed,exclude:cons\|linux. If I put finish at the top of my ~/.vimrc, I have the same issue, so I think the line is wrong, but I've tried set clipboard=unnamed and had the same behavior. Could there be another config file affecting Vim's behavior? How can I change my ~/.vimrc to allow me to copy text from Vim?

Enabling syntax highlighting for LESS in Programmer's Notepad?

When I don't feel like firing up the Visual Studio behemoth, or when I don't have it installed, I always turn to Programmer's Notepad. It's an amazingly light and fast little text editor, with the special advantage that it is completely platform-native and conforms to standard UI conventions. Therefore, please do not suggest that I consider using other text editors. I've already considered and rejected them because they do not use native UI controls. I like Programmer's Notepad, thank you very much. Unfortunately, I've recently begun to learn, use, and love LESS for all of my CSS coding needs, and it appears that Programmer's Notepad is not bundled with a syntax highlighting scheme for LESS. Does anyone know if there is—by chance and good fortune—one already available somewhere on the web that some kind soul has tediously prepared? If not, how can I go about writing one of my own? Is there a way to build on the existing CSS scheme? It's also possible that any code coloring scheme designed for Scintilla-based editors will work, as Programmer's Notepad is based on the Scintilla control. If you know of a LESS highlighting scheme for Scintilla-based editors, and how to use that with Programmer's Notepad, please suggest that as well.

Our corporate standard is McAfee Enterprise, unfortunately this is non-negotiable. On two types of servers I'm responsible for, SQL & Web, we have noticed major performance issues with the corporate standard setup. Max scan time 45sec One policy for all processes Scan ALL files on write, read and open for backup Heuristics: Find unknown programs, trojans and macros Detect unwanted programs Exclude: EVT, LDF, LOG, MDF, VMD, , windows file protection) This of course still causes major slowdowns. IIS .NET recompiles are slow especially with SharePoint, SQL backups and restores, SQL Analysis Services, Integration Services and temp data from them as well. I have looked from time to time, for some best practices on setting up McAfee of SQL & SQL Analysis Service, SQL Integration Service, Visual Studio, Sharepoint, and .NET web servers in general. How do people setup McAfee enterprise on their corporate serves keeping security intact, but affecting performance as minimally as possible? Has anyone run across white papers on these setups? Obviously some are case by case, but there must be some best practices out there somewhere.

Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis. I search about this error and I found a solution for it but which is to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86). I installed but still I’m getting same error. Please help me to solve this problem and let me know if you want to know more info about my issue.

Recover files from corrupt filesystem

My situation: I have an older 80GB IDE internal hdd, with a few files on that I would like very much to recover: some word documents some latex documents (text files) and pictures (png, jpg, eps files) some other text documents and visual studio project files I had backed them (not the latex ones though) up using svn, but have not committed lately, and would loose a lot of work if I cant recover. the hdd seems to have lost its filesystem, i have no idea how it came about. I know it has/had 3 NTFS partitions, i know the files i want are on the second or third partition. I read http://superuser.com/questions/81877/recover-hard-disk-data Partition Find and Mount did not see all the partitions using intelligent scan TestDisk does (i think), I followed the step by step instructions here, but when I try to list the files it says: "Can't open filesystem, filesystem seems damaged." I'm not sure how to proceed here, as TestDisks wiki does not contain this error message afaik. I don't know if the hdd is gonna fail, or some prog has caused the filesystem to be corrupt, the hdd doesnt make a sound, so i guess that's good. I would like some guidance so I don't accidentally cause more damage. (eg. is it ok to let testdisk write the filesystem to disk? I'm pretty the partitions are listed ok, but not 100%)
