    I'm working on a web application and I'm using the img tag (<img...>). When the src property is empty, it shows the red x figure indicating that there is no image. Is there any way to hide that red X icon?

  • Recommendations for a 3rd party Calendar picker class that's easy to use in iPhone/iPad apps

    Hello. I'd like to add a Calendar picker control to my iPad app that is similar in appearence and functionality to the Calendar picker control in the upper right corner of the native Calendar app on the iPad. I've looked into a couple of the 3rd party frameworks that have Calendar controls like this (such as the Tapku Library), but because I'm new to iPhone OS development, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to use them, mostly because the ones I've looked at have little or no documentation. For those that have used 3rd party Calendar picker controls, can you recommend one that is... Easy to use or provide decent enough documentation to figure out how to use it Legit for use in iPhone OS 3.2+ (including 4.0) Or if you could recommend one and provide some code snippets from your projects that show how to... Initialize and display it Retrieve the date selected by the user I would most greatly appreciate it and I'm sure there are many others that would as well (and would be happy to vote up your response)!   • Can't create new "enterprise" project in netbeans

    I'm running netbeans 6.7.1 on Ubuntu Karmic. On the services tab I added a new glassfish v3 prelude server, I installed it to my home directory using the download button. I started the server and opened localhost:4848 to verify I can get into the admin panel. Then I did file-new projct and created a new java web-web application. On the configuration step of the wizard it preselected glassfish v3 prelude and java ee 5. I accepted and did a test run. I ran the project just fine. So now I did file-new projecct and attempted to create a Java EE-ejb module. When I arrive to the server configuration stage of the wizard, it doesn't show any servers on the server dropdown list (so it's empty), it also doesn't see any version of java on the "java ee version" dropdown list. This also happens for the other "Java EE" project types. I can't seem to get my head around why I can make a new web application but not an ejb module. Can anyone provide any insight to why it might not be seeing that I have java or glassfish installed when I try to make a new java ee project but I see it when I try to make a java web project?

  • Most Efficient Alternative Method of Storing Settings for iPhone Apps

    I am not using the Settings bundle to store the settings for my app, as I prefer to allow the user to access the settings within the app (they may be changed fairly often). I do realize that there is the option to do both, but for now, I am trying to find the most optimal place to store the settings within the app. I have a good number of settings (from what I have read, probably too many for NSUserDefaults), and the two main options I am considering are: 1) storing the settings in a dictionary in the plist, loading the settings into a NSDictionary property in the app delegate and accessing them via the sharedDelegate 2) storing the settings in a Core Data entity (1 row on Settings entity), loading the settings into a Settings object in the app delegate and accessing them via the sharedDelegate Of these two, which would be the optimal method, performance wise?

    Hello, Many modern mobile phones (google nexus one etc.) have some kind of built in location service. when i go to a some website (eg. google.com) that website asks if I'm willing to share my location with that site. How do you actually ask for mobile device to give out it's location to the site? And in what format is that location given? I've got no clue and didn't find any answers from google, neither.

  • Morfik - suitability for medium-scale web enterprise applications

    I'm investigating technologies with which to develop a medium-scale (up to 100 or 200 simultaneous users) database-driven web application, and someone suggested Morfik. However, outside of the Morfik company I can find practically zero community support - no active blogs, no tutorials, no videos, no books - and this is of some concern (especially when compared to C# / ASP.NET / nHibernate etc support). Deciding between Morfik (untried and not used widely AFAIK) and the other technologies I mentioned (tried, tested, used widely) is becoming a critical issue for my company. Has anyone had success using Morfik in these kind of circumstances? What kind of performance did you achieve?

I'm also trying to heavily decouple the application for maximum extensibility and testability.   • Resize the /var directory in redhat enterprise edition 4

    I am running NDB mysql. the log files fills up the /var directory. therefore i cant start the ndbd service now. as a temporary fix, i have deleted the log files and again working fine. but again the log files fill up the /var directory. i got plenty of space in other partition. therefore i would like to swap the partition from one directory to /var. here if my input from df -h Filesystem Type Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 ext3 54G 2.9G 49G 6% / /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 ext3 99M 14M 81M 14% /boot none tmpfs 1013M 0 1013M 0% /dev/shm /dev/cciss/c0d0p2 ext3 9.7G 9.7G 0 100% /var there are plenty of space in /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00. Therefore i will like to swap 10 G space from this directory to /var. could you please help me out to solve this problem?
