• Traverse list to add elements, C#.

  I have a list of objects. Each object has an integer quantity and a DateTime variable which contains a month and year value. I'd like to traverse the list and pad the list by adding missing months (with quantity 0) so that all consecutive months are represented in the list. What would be the best way to accomplish this?   In System.Windows.Forms there are a PropertyGrid that displays properties of an attached object. Let's say MyTextBox : TextBox. Now, I would like to display on it some MyTextBox properties, say only Size, Location and my custom property Date. More that than, I would like to be able to change the real property names, say "Dimension", "Location" and "Starting Date". I saw two projects on this subject : first and second, but first does not work well(for browsable properties), and the second seems to add an event for each property changes, this is not acceptable.

I tryed .after('</div><div>'); but it's not working, it adds a <div></div>.

• Storyboard elements are not sized properly on the device

  In the storyboard, I am placing a table view element into a subclassed UIView. The element is not appearing on the iPad device I am running it on the same as it appears in the storyboard however. This also happens for additional content that I place into the storyboard. Below is a screenshot as it appears in the storyboard, as well as UI width/height information. And here is the description of the UI file running on the iPad. https://gist.github.com/4323186 (embedding it directly into the post is giving me problems) You'll notice that the tableview is explicitly set at 178 width, and is showing up in the description as 276 width. My initial thought was that perhaps a cell was forcing the parent to be larger (I'm very new to iOS UI development), but drilling into that shows the prototype cell it appears that the width is defined by it's parent at 178. The image views and label also are appearing in the incorrect spot, as shown in the second image below.

  I have a problem where I need to display a lot of forms for detail data for a hierarchical data set. I want to display some relational fields as labels for the forms and I'm struggling with a way to do this in a more robust way. Here is the code... class Category(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=160) class Item(models.Model): category = models.ForeignKey('Category') name = models.CharField(max_length=160) weight = models.IntegerField(default=0) class Meta: ordering = ('category','weight','name') class BudgetValue(models.Model): value = models.IntegerField() plan = models.ForeignKey('Plan') item = models.ForeignKey('Item') I use the modelformset_factory to create a formset of budgetvalue forms for a particular plan. What I'd like is item name and category name for each BudgetValue. When I iterate through the forms each one will be labeled properly. class BudgetValueForm(forms.ModelForm): item = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=Item.objects.all(),widget=forms.HiddenInput()) plan = forms.ModelChoiceField(queryset=Plan.objects.all(),widget=forms.HiddenInput()) category = "" < assign dynamically on form creation > item = "" < assign dynamically on form creation > class Meta: model = BudgetValue fields = ('item','plan','value') What I started out with is just creating a dictionary of budgetvalue.item.category.name, budgetvalue.item.name, and the form for each budget value. This gets passed to the template and I render it as I intended. I'm assuming that the ordering of the forms in the formset and the querset used to genererate the formset keep the budgetvalues in the same order and the dictionary is created correctly. That is the budgetvalue.item.name is associated with the correct form. This scares me and I'm thinking there has to be a better way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I have a datagrid in which i have textblocks as one column.Then in the next column i have progress bar over which there is a textblock.On loading row of datagrid,i add these three into lists of textblock and progressbar.I start the first progress bar and after 15-20 minutes next progress bar is started.The next progress bar is getting started fine and after 20 minutes it is getting invisible.The problem is that if i try to make textblock invisible,then the whole Datagrid gets invisible and stops working.After all the tasks in the Datagrid are complete i need to make DataGrid invisible and also when i try to do so,the grid becomes invisible and no other event gets fired.... e.g List txtlist=new List(); i=1; txtlist[i].Visibility=Visibility.Collapsed;

• Java object to XML Elements?

  I'm working on a webservices client app and I have it mostly working. I can retrieve and read data from the third-party webservice fine. Now I need to submit some data and I'm stuck. The classes for the objects I'm retrieving/submitting were generated from XSD files via the xjc tool. The part I'm stuck on is turning one of those objects into an XML tree to submit to the webservice. When I retrieve/send a request from/to the ws, it contains a 'payload' object. This is defined in java code as (partial listing): @XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.FIELD) @XmlType(name = "PayloadType", propOrder = { "compressed", "document", "any", "format" }) public class PayloadType { @XmlElement(name = "Compressed") protected String compressed; @XmlElement(name = "Document") protected List<String> document; @XmlAnyElement protected List<Element> any; protected String format; public List<Element> getAny() { if (any == null) { any = new ArrayList<Element>(); } return this.any; } } The only field I'm concerned with is the 'any' field which contains an XML tree. When I retrieve data from the ws, I read that field with something like this: ('root' is of org.w3c.dom.Element type and is the result of calling 'getAny().get(0)' on the payload object) NodeList nl = root.getElementsByTagName("ns1:Process"); // "ns1:Process" is an XML node to do something with if (nl != null && nl.getLength() > 0) { for (int i = 0; i < nl.getLength(); i++) { Element proc = (Element) nl.item(i); try { // do something with the 'proc' Element here... } catch (Exception ex) { // handle problems here... } } } Submitting data is where I'm stuck. It has to be an Element. Do I do something with a JAXBContext marshaller? I've used that to dump the 'dData' object to the screen to check the XML structure. • How well are SVG filter elements defined?

  We are considering using SVG filters as part of our toolchain, serving the SVG to browsers capable of supporting it, while serving pre-rendered PNGs to other. One problem we noticed is that the rendering of the filter chains seems to be very inconsistent across renderers. When looking at the "filters01" example from the SVG specification, the rendering looks very different across the tools we tried. Chrome (5.0.307.11) failed to render the image, while other tools (Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.10, Inkscape 0.47, GIMP 2.6.7) render something vaguely similar in style to the picture in the specification, but no two are truly the same. Is that an issue of under-specification or are the tools just not there? If we would use SVG with filter effects: is there a reference tool that can give us a rendering the way it is intended by the spec?

  I have a list of Accommodation objects bound to a Repeater, and then a nested Repeater which has the various attendee groups listed [e.g. Default, Seniors, Juniors]. This is all output fine, with the values displayed as LinkButtons, which when clicked gets sent to a code-behind event handler. Here is an example of the output to give you a picture [with some er... interesting attendee group names]: In the event handler, I test the object parameter to see which Repeater has been sent, as the outer repeater's links can also be clicked [so the Accommodation would be set, but no Attendee Group]. Is there a way to get a HiddenField from the outer RepeaterItem that contains the currently clicked inner repeater's LinkButton? E.g. From the image, I click the Attending link in the Women section. So the EventArgs via FindControl can get me the hidden field which contains the Attendee Group's ID, which is good, but I also need the Accommodation ID [to know whether it was either Wimbledon Hotel Inn or New Acc]

  I have created a small application written in XHTML, JavaScript/JQuery and PHP. The PHP reads and writes to a small SQLite database. How would i go about inserting cells into a pre-scripted table. The cells would need to be configured using some information from my database. For example, below are two cells with their data retrieved from my database: Cell One Starts: 120px; Finishes: 180px; Background: Blue; Cell Two Starts: 240px; Finishes: 300px; Background: Green; On my table row, it is 500px in width. How would I insert the cells above into the row. In this example, the first cell would start 120px into the row and have a width of 180px. The second cell would start 240px into the row and have a width of 300px. I just cant seem to work out a way of doing this, any ideas would be very helpful.   Hi, So, I've got a C# project for Windows Mobile phones and I'm trying to work with the InputPanel. Specifically, I've got one form with a stack of Labels and TextBoxes that collect user input. I have an InputPanel that alerts me when the user opens the SIP. Everything works fine so far. When I get messages that the SIP status has changed, I want to change the height of the Form, which doesn't seem possible. Here's my event handler for my InputPanel: void m_InputPanel_EnabledChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { // :( this assignment operation doesn't work and it doesn't this.ClientSize = inputPanel1.VisibleDesktop.Size; // doesn't work this.Size = inputPanel1.VisibleDesktop.Size; // assignment operation works, but isn't very useful this.visibleHeight = inputPanel1.VisibleDesktop.Height; this.InitializeUI(); } When I say that the assignment operation doesn't work, I mean that the values don't change in the debugger. I can understand that maybe I can't change the size of a Form, but I can't understand why trying to change it wouldn't throw an exception, or give a compiler error. I have my Form WindowState set to Normal instead of Maximized, but it doesn't make a difference. Also, I have read http://www.christec.co.nz/blog/archives/42 this page that tells me how I'm supposed to do this, but I can't easily put all of my controls in a Panel because I'm using a bunch of custom stuff to do alpha background controls.

• Render action return View(); form problem

  I'm new to MVC, so please bear with me. :-) I've got a strongly typed "Story" View. This View (story) can have Comments. I've created two Views (not partials) for my Comments controller "ListStoryComments" and "CreateStoryComment", which do what their names imply. These Views are included in the Story View using RenderAction, e.g.: <!-- List comments --> <h2>All Comments</h2> <% Html.RenderAction("ListStoryComments", "Comments", new { id = Model.Story.Id }); %> <!-- Create new comment --> <% Html.RenderAction("CreateStoryComment", "Comments", new { id = Model.Story.Id }); %> (I pass in the Story id in order to list related comments). All works as I hoped, except, when I post a new comment using the form, it returns the current (parent) View, but the Comments form field is still showing the last content I typed in and the ListStoryComments View isn’t updated to show the new story. Basically, the page is being loaded from cache, as if I had pressed the browser’s back button. If I press f5 it will try to repost the form. If I reload the page manually (reenter the URL in the browser's address bar), and then press f5, I will see my new content and the empty form field, which is my desired result. • possible xml elements in Android resources xmls ?

  I recently came across a forum post in thelink text android developers group. (link below) It has one post which contains following xml. It is xml file which can be used in drawable folder. <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <!-- Non focused states --> <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_selected="false" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_unselected" /> <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_selected" /> <!-- Focused states --> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_selected="false" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_focus" /> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_selected="true" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_focus"/> <!-- Pressed --> <item android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/tab_press" /> </selector> Now my question is, where is the documentation which tells me that i can use the following xml tags <selector> , <item>, <color>, <integer-array>, <string-array> and many others tag to create xml resources...? I hope, i have explained what i want to know ?
