    Task at hand: Microsoft sign drivers on Win 7. I microsoft signed my driver package 3 times every time thinking I might have missed a step or something. However, I cannot seem to get rid of the Windows Security error message "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software'. This is not the first time I have signed the driver packages. I was successfully able to sign other driver packages a few months ago. However, with this driver package I keep getting Windows security dialog box. Here's the procedure I follow - Create a new cat file using INF2CAT tool. Self sign the driver using a Versign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5.cer. Run the microsoft tests on DTM Servers and clients with the devices that use this driver. Create WLK submission package. Self sign the cab file. Submit the package for certification. The catalog file that comes back after successfully passing tests says Name of signer "Microsoft Windows Hardware Comptibility Publisher". When I check the validity of signature using SignTool, it says the signature is vaild. However, when I try to install the driver with new signed catalog file the windows complain. Any ideas? I am using the same certificate I used when I signed those two driver packages a few months ago. It costs $250 per signing from Microsoft. I would think that Microsoft would complain about it during certification if the certificate is wrong. I use the following command to self sign the CAT file.     I'm working on a spreadsheet that two conditions have to true in order to be counted. If the month is January, and the number next to it is less than or equal to 30, then it's counted. Same rule applies for all the other months.   • Windows 8 Microsoft Account and Microsoft Store doesn't allow login

    The problem is that I have to go through proxy here in college to make my internet work. When I signed with my live id to switch to the Microsoft account in Windows 8, it recognized and validate my security questions but says it cannot connect to Microsoft Services. All other apps like mail, messenger, etc. work except for the Windows Store. The windows store what apps are available but when installed, queues it up for a pending download. Is there a way to modify my proxy settings so that I can access both these features?

  • How to auto-generate early bound properties for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set text values?

    After spending a year working with the Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk namespace, I just discovered yesterday the Entity.FormattedValues property contains the text value for Entity specific (ie Local) Option Set texts. The reason I didn't discover it before, is there is no early bound method of getting the value. i.e. entity.new_myOptionSet is of type OptionSetValue which only contains the int value. You have to call entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"] to get the string text value of the OptionSetValue. Therefore, I'd like to get the crmsrvcutil to auto-generate a text property for local option sets. i.e. Along with Entity.new_myOptionSet being generated as it currently does, Entity.new_myOptionSetText would be generated as well. I've looked into the Microsoft.Crm.Services.Utility.ICodeGenerationService, but that looks like it is mostly for specifying what CodeGenerationType something should be... Is there a way supported way using CrmServiceUtil to add these properties, or am I better off writing a custom app that I can run that can generate these properties as a partial class to the auto-generated ones? Edit - Example of the code that I would like to be generated Currently, whenever I need to access the text value of a OptionSetValue, I use this code: var textValue = OptionSetCache.GetText(service, entity, e => e.New_MyOptionSet); The option set cache will use the entity.LogicalName, and the property expression to determine the name of the option set that I'm asking for. It will then query the SDK using the RetrieveAttriubteRequest, to get a list of the option set int and text values, which it then caches so it doesn't have to hit CRM again. It then looks up the int value of the New_MyOptionSet of the entity and cross references it with the cached list, to get the text value of the OptionSet. Instead of doing all of that, I can just do this (assuming that the entity has been retrieved from the server, and not just populated client side): var textValue = entity.FormattedValues["new_myoptionset"]; but the "new_myoptionset" is no longer early bound. I would like the early bound entity classes that gets generated to also generate an extra "Text" property for OptionSetValue properties that calls the above line, so my entity would have this added to it: public string New_MyOptionSetText { return this.GetFormattedAttributeValue("new_myoptionset"); // this is a protected method on the Entity class itself... }

For a specific column, I will need Excel to replace all values between, say 10 to 15, by the value 1 and values between 16 and 20 by the value 2 and so forth. I know how to do it for a single value; ie: I can replace value 10 by 1, 11 by 1 and so on. But this will be a tedious exercise. Are there some lines of codes that can execute this task?     I have a table in excel format (2007 but I can save as anything below that, naturally), and I have an SQL Compact Edition 3.5 SP1 Database table with corresponding columns. I simply want to populate the SQLCE table with the data from the excel file. The data consists of strings and integers only. I tried this utility to no avail, I also tried this SQL script but it won't work since BULK INSERT is not supported in SQLCE. I also found this Microsoft tutorial but I am basically clueless when it comes to SQL, providers and the like... Thanks !

    I have to execute an Oracle stored procedure from vba (Excel) with around 38 input parameters. The stored procedure will insert some values in the destination table once that is executed. When it is executed through VBA the number of fields which is inserted is less than when it is executed directly from the backend (oracle). For example it is creating around 17 fields of records while executing directly from the back end. (I have created a wrapper class in the back-end and passing the same parameter values in the back-end.). It is creating around 15 fields of records while executing from the excel VBA in the destination table. Kindly let me know what could be the possible reasons for this.

So we are not able to read sheet / cell using following Code.     Hi, When I open an excel file (generated through VBA code), I get an error "Excel found unreadable content in <filename>. Do you want to recover the contents?" Upon clicking yes, I get a message 'Repairs were made to PivotTable report 'pvtName' on '[filename.xls]Tab'.' The pivot table in question is generated by the VBA code. Is there a way to figure out what repairs are being done on the pivot table, so that I can make the necessary changes in the code before the file is generated? Thanks :)

The API is funky, and sometimes a bit confusing. When I set a value of a cell, is there a way to set it's format? I'd like to mark particular fields as Date's so my customer can run excel macros on them. Also, numbers would be useful. Thanks!
