  • Multi valued profile property mapping to AD in Sharepoint

    I'm trying to map my skills and responsibilities profile sections to one of the custom properties in Active Directory (extensionattribute1 , 2, etc). I'm entering comma seperated values in AD and it's importing the values fine but sees the comma seperated values as one value on import. i.e. 'C#,asp.net,javascript' rather than 'C#', 'asp.net', 'Javascript'. Any ideas. I'm almost there it's just not spliting the values correctly on import. thanks in Advance

MyType*** myArray; myArray = new MyType**[GRID_SIZE]; for (int i = 0; i < GRID_SIZE; ++i) { myArray[i] = new MyType*[GRID_SIZE]; for (int j = 0; j < GRID_SIZE; ++j) { myArray[i][j] = new MyType[GRID_SIZE]; } } Now this 3D array is ready to store MyType instances. What is the correct syntax needed when declaring this array if I want to store pointers to MyType instead of just MyType objects in this array?

    Hi, I've seen lot of code that handle forms, which creates input fields with names containing square brackets. I understand that this is being somehow converted to PHP arrays when a PHP script examines the $_POST variable. My questions about this: What is the mechanism behind? At which point this names that merely contain brackets are converted to arrays? Is this a feature of the HTPP protocol? Of web servers? Of the PHP language? Continuing the previous question, is this a commonly used hack or a normal programming tool? What are (all) the rules of using brackets in input field names?     I'm relatively new to JS so this may be a common problem, but I noticed something strange when dealing with for loops and the onclick function. I was able to replicate the problem with this code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = function () { var buttons = document.getElementsByTagName('a'); for (var i=0; i<2; i++) { buttons[i].onclick = function () { alert(i); return false; } } } </script> </head> <body> <a href="">hi</a> <br /> <a href="">bye</a> </body> </html> When clicking the links I would expect to get '0' and '1', but instead I get '2' for both of them. Why is this? BTW, I managed to solve my particular problem by using the 'this' keyword, but I'm still curious as to what is behind this behavior.

  • css position question: layers with z-index?

    hey guys, i have a probably rather simpel problem: my website has two layers: 1) a drag&drop navigation on top which should be positioned absolute, so scrolling doesn't affect the bars. 2) a content area in the back behind the navigation which should be scrollable. you can see what i mean right here: http://jsfiddle.net/Pghqv/ however now, i cannot click links in my content-area in the back. any ideas or solutions how i can still have the same position result and the links in the back are working? thank you very much.

  • XAML Multi-Level Binding Source/Path Issue

    So I have this issue I've been trying various ways to tackle all day and nothing's catching and working for it. Basically I have a XAML object called ChromeWindow (derived from Window) which has in it's code-behind a DependencyProperty called AppChrome which stores a reference to an associated ApplicationChrome XAML object (derived from UserControl). ApplicationChrome's XAML file has a few x:Name'd objects (a TextBlock and Border for instance) to which I want to bind to from the ChromeWindow's XAML. The root of the ChromeWindow is x:Name'd as 'rootWindow' in the XAML, so I figured one of these bindings would work: {Binding ElementName=rootWindow, Path=AppChrome.CaptionTextBlock.Text, Mode=OneWay} But that complains of a BindingExpression path error such that the property 'CaptionTextBlock' (an x:Name'd TextBlock in AppChrome's XAML) cannot be found on object of type ApplicationChrome So I tried this binding intead: {Binding Source=AppChrome.CaptionTextBlock, Path=Text, Mode=OneWay} And still no luck, this time complaints of a BindingExpression path error again, but this time that it cannot find the 'CaptionTextBlock' property on object of type String I know I'm missing something really simple here, please help! ;D

  • How to design model for multi-tiered data?

    Say I have three types of object: Area, Subarea and Topic. I want to be able to display an Area, which is just a list of Subareas and the Topics contained in those Subareas. I never want to be able to display Subareas separately - they're just for breaking up the Topics. Topics can, however, appear in multiple Areas (but probably under the same Subarea). How would I design a model for this? I could use ForeignKey from Topic to Subarea and from Subarea to Area, but it seems unnecessarily complex given that I never want to interact with subareas themselves. Also, none of these objects are ever altered or added to by the user. They're just for me to represent information. Maybe there is a better way to represent it all?

  • CSS issue with multi-accordion

    Alright, I got some help earlier with this, but it never truly got resolved. I'm pretty sure I'm having a CSS issue, but I just can't figure out how to correct it. Currently, I have these accordions working perfectly, they collapse, expand, expand again when told to etc. The problem I'm having is aligning the content within these accordion divs. Ideally, when everything is default (collapsed) all I want seen is the thumbnail image and the Headline. Then if the user wishes, they click on the headline and it expands and if they want to make a comment or view comments, they can click once again to expand that. Here's the thing, I have to make the height 62px so everything will fit in and just not float all over the place. This creates a problem with the "View Comments" to "Text Here" area, as you can tell it has outrageous space between the two. The other issue is, as I currently have it I'm forcefully indenting the article text so that it doesn't TEXT WRAP underneath the thumbnail image. Basically, I want it split into 2 columns so nothing ever goes beneath the image, but working with this accordion and divs inside the divs it's proving to be difficult for me.     Like in Oracle VARCHAR( 60 CHAR ) I would like to specify a varchar field with variable length depending on the inserted characters. for example: create table X (text varchar(3)) insert into X (text) VALUES ('äöü') Should be possible (with UTF8 as the default charset of the database). On DB2 I got this Error: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-302, SQLSTATE=22001 (Character data, right truncation occurred; for example, an update or insert value is a string that is too long for the column, or a datetime value cannot be assigned to a host variable, because it is too small.) I'm looking for solutions for DB2, MsSql, MySql, Hypersonic.

On my server I want to get user_id and selected friends Id. Everything is fine with selected friend_ids, but have issues with getting id of a user. sometimes I can get it all fine, sometimes I am getting session expired exception, sometimes I get nothing. any ideas why this is happening?

    I have an array that is many levels deep and I am wondering what is the best way to get one of the child element values that is deep in my array. I assume I need to use a recursive method, but what is the best way to do this? Or is there a faster way to do this? The array comes from an XML Parser that I am using which builds everything into an array like this (using NSLog to show the structure): { children = ( { children = ( { children = ( { children = ( ); data = 12; element = AssetID; } ); data = ""; element = "ns1:GetUserIdByUsernameResponse"; } ); data = ""; element = "SOAP-ENV:Body"; } ); data = ""; element = "SOAP-ENV:Envelope"; } What I would like to get at is the AssetID data, which in this case is 12.

    I have a small .NET WinForms application, and couple of linux servers, DEV and CL1,CL2..CLN (DEV is development server and CL* are servers which belons to our clients, they are in private networks and it's a kind of production servers) I want an update mechanism so that (1) i develop a new version and publish it to a DEV (2) users of DEV-server install latest version from DEV (3) users of CL2 (employees of client2) install stable version from CL-2 directly (4) application checks for updates using server it was installed from (so, if it was installed from CL-2, it should check CL-2 for updates) (5) i should be able to propogate the update to a selected CL-server (using just file copy & maybe sed; not republishing), if i want that (and if i don't, that CL-server will have an old version until manually i update it) I tried to use clickonce, but looks like it meets only first two requirements. What should i do?

  • Build system for multi-language project

    I am getting ready to embark on a project mainly for experimenting with languages, but also with a hint of usefulness. It will consist of a server-application, written in Erlang, and client-libraries in a number of languages. Initially I will want to write clients in Java, Ruby and Python. The actual protocol for communication will be Thrift. I'm looking for a build system that will allow me to build the server and all the client libraries in one go, running unit-tests in each language, then packaging up a releasable artifact of some sort in whatever way is the "standard" for each language. That means a Jar for Java, a RubyGem and a distribute/setuptools tarball for Python. Erlang probably has something too, but I'm not yet familiar with that. It should also be able to run the Thrift compiler to generate the various Thrift-stubs in each language. On the pad at the start is Maven. I'm fairly certain Maven can do all I need, but I fear it's too Java-centric, and leaves me with a ton of work for every new language I need to add.
