  • How to separate production and test assets during development?

    Hi Folks, this is like a complement for Assets Management, database or versioning system?. I am wondering about how to separate development, specially programmers assets from production assets? For example, if we keep all the assets on the same repository, how do you keep with programmers assets and final game assets? Do you keep a separate directory for each of those, allowing duplicates? Or do you use some fancy scheme for striping out the "development" and "test" assets from final build?

    It is possible to change a NSString color by letter? For example, if you have NSString *A=@"ASDFGH"; show in UILabel ASD with red and FGH with blue. And another question.. If I have a NSString, can I access the letter I want? For example, in NSString *A=@"ASDFGH"; how can I know what is the second letter which is S, or the third, which is D?

    I am not at all versed in Computer Graphics and am in need of creating a color picker as a javascript tool to embed in an HTML page. First, and looking at Photoshop's one, i thought of the RGB palette as a three-dimensional matrix.     I've searched high and low for a good resource for learning the Linux command line. I've found a handful of separate resources, but none that really can assist in web server management. I'm currently learning through trial an error with 'man' pages, along with Google. I was just wondering if anyone had a solid resource that they used to learn, and would be willing to share it with me. Thanks so much for your time, I really appreciate it! EDIT: I have a few CentOS servers at current, and I know the basics, I'm just trying to get to a more advanced level.

  • Expanding list of databases in SQL Server 2008 Management Studio Takes Longer than SQL Server 2005

    Is it just me, or does expanding the list of databases in SQL Server 2008 Management Studio take significantly more time than expanding the list of databases in SQL Server 2005 Management Studio? If it isn't just me, is there an explanation for this behavior? Whatever it is doing in the background that makes it take longer, can we turn that off? Is it configurable? I know, it seems trivial, but I am perpetually being surprised at how long this takes.

  • MKMapView Pins Refreshing Color on Click

    Hello, I have several custom MKPinAnnotationView on my map with different images(colored pins). Everything works fine until I either click on a pin or change the map to a different view(satellite/road)... when I do either of these, my pins will revert back to the classic red color. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried some shoots like android:itemBackground="#000000" on the item element within the menu element but it doesn't work. I don't know if this is doable or not. Any idea would be welcome! :)

I've heard pass-by-reference/value talked about quite well with postal service usage, but not so much for allocation/deallocation. So for I've thought about using the idea of renting a space might work, but I wonder if the SO crew can provide something better.
