    I want to copy a file from FTP and save it to my local system. I want to run this through batch file. I am trying this for a week. But I couldn't find the solution. Anyone help me please....   • Windows 7 CD Command only echoes directory

    The path for every new instance of the shell starts in my user directory (C:\Users\user). Within this directory or rather drive (in this case C:) I can't use the cd command as I'm used to - it only echoes the specified directory. As soon as I change the directory to a parent-directory I can execute "cd D:" and it changes to the drive. But this behavious doesn't appear consistently in all instances of the shell. Sometimes I have to go to C: to change it. I'm quite sure I'm not using the command in the wrong way, since it's what I'm used to do to start grails.

  • Multiple variables for the same command

    I'm new to cmd and was wondering if there's an easier way of retpying a variable in a command. For example, I have to do two commands for a set of 96 files and each time I would hit the up arrrow key, get my old commands back and change a variable from 1 to 2, then 2 to 3 and so forth. i.e.: Desktop\InitialProcess_230 Process230input.fasta -output Process230.fasta Then each time I want to do the next file which would be InitialProcess_231 and so on, I would change that in the command by scrolling along and removing 0 and putting a 1. Doing that for almost a 100 files seems like a hassle.

    I am trying to detect when an item is checked, and which item is checked in a ListBox using Silverlight 4 and the Prism framework. I found this example on creating behaviors, and tried to follow it but nothing is happening in the debugger. I have three questions: Why isn't my command executing? How do I determine which item was checked (i.e. pass a command parameter)? How do I debug this?   • msysgit bash shell- how to troubleshoot "cannot find command"

    I need help getting git extensions to run with msysgit. I have had bad luck with extensions git-tfs and git-fetchall, in both cases it is the same problem. The addon will require a file to be placed where git can find it (git-tfs.exe and git-fetchall.sh). I understand this to mean the files need to be in a directory that is in the 'PATH' environment variable. In both cases I get stuck at this point: $ git-diffall bash: git-diffall: command not found or: $ git-tfs bash: git-tfs: command not found When I run echo %PATH% from a regular command shell, it shows my path variable includes the directories where git-diffall and git-tfs are. How can I debug this, or am I missing something? Is there a way within msysgit to verify the command search path is what I expect?

    I'd like to be able to write Inquisit scripts in Vim. In the standard Inquisit application for writing scripts, I can press F1 and it brings up help on the topic related to the word under the cursor. I'd like to set up the same functionality through Vim. The help file for Inquisit is stored in a Windows .CHM file. I figured there must be a set of command-line options for doing a keyword search in a chm file, but I haven't been able to find a complete list of the command-line options, presumably for HH.exe. I did find this page with a few pointers, but it does not have a full listing of command-line options. I also found this discussion on AutoHotKey discussion board. It mentions keyhh. I also just found a vimscript designed to do exactly what I want Questions: Is there a complete list of command-line options for HH.exe? Is there a better way of going about what I am trying to do?

    I'm developing a server application and I recently encountered this wierd error on a testing server (Debian Squeeze). Every executable I pass to popen fails with a msg: sh: sort: not found // happens to any command This happens regardless whether I point to the full path returned by "type" or keep it short . As mentioned earlier, this happens at only one testing environment, to add confusion, am running the same OS and had no problem whatsoever. Popen is apparently using sh to execute commands, but if I run the same command thru the prompt (bash or sh), everything's fine Thanks in advance (PS: even tried Python os.popen just to nail this head scratcher, and it works!)     I wrote a custom management command for django. Locally with my dev settings everything works fine. Now I deployed my project onto the production server and the management command does not show up, respectively is not available. But I did not get an error message deploying the project (syncdb). Any ideas where I could try to begin to search? Is there a special command that all custom management commands are "autodiscovered"?

    Hi, thanks for taking a look at this question. I have been building an application (VB/WPF) following Josh Smith's example of an MVVM pattern: Click here to view My Views have Controls which trigger a Command upon an event, such as a button click and these are bound to properties in the ViewModel. My ViewModel exposes properties of type ICommand which invoke the appropriate methods. This has worked well, until now! I now want to use a Thumb Control to allow a user to move an object within a Canvas. I don't believe that the Thumb has a Command capability 'out of the box'. A Thumb raises a 'DragDelta' event when being moved. So my question is as follows: How do I extend a Control's capability to issue a Command upon an event please? I wish to issue a new Command, let's say 'onDragDelta' so that I can bind it to a property in my ViewModel just like my Buttons. Thank you very much

  • Java service wrapper and additional application command line parameters

    I'm currently using java service wrapper to wrap a java application that I've developed. I'm needing to ability to pass in additional command line parameters to my application through the java service wrapper. Pretend my app is called myapp and I've setup java service wrapper so that the script I run to start is called myapp. I'd like to be able to do something like this: ./myapp start Parameter1 parameter2 and have those additional parameters get passed into my application. Any ideas how to do this? I'm finding that googling and looking at the documentation is only pulling up how to use command line arguments to setup java service wrapper. I've had difficulty finding anything about passing command line arguments to your application except for having them hard coded in your wrapper.conf file. Right now I feel like my option is to take the additional command line parameters, set them to environment variables and have those hard coded in the wrapper.conf. I'd prefer not to go down that road though and am hoping I've overlooked something.

    I'm getting an error when I run the Spree sample data. It occurs when Spree tries to load in the product data, specifically the product images. Expected 0 I've also tried manually updating the Paperclip gem in Spree to 3.0.2 and still get the same error. So, I'm not really sure what else to try. Is there still something incorrect with my ImageMagick setup?

    Just converting some shell scripts into batch files and there is one thing I can't seem to find...and that is a simple count of the number of command line arguments. eg. if you have: myapp foo bar In Shell: $# - 2 $* - foo bar $0 - myapp $1 - foo $2 - bar In batch ?? - 2 <---- what command?! %* - foo bar %0 - myapp %1 - foo %2 - bar So I've looked around, and either I'm looking in the wrong spot or I'm blind, but I can't seem to find a way to get a count of number of command line arguments passed in. Is there a command similar to shell's "$#" for batch files? ps. the closest i've found is to iterate through the %1s and use 'shift', but I need to refernece %1,%2 etc later in the script so that's no good.

    I have a form page in PHP that reads a DBF, and conditionally converts it into a MySQL - extracting the data from an old, but still production accounting app. The conversion should be able to be actioned without user intervention, ie scripted from the web-host's command line on a cron job. How can I get PHP to submit the form automatically when receiving variables at command line, like for instance a specific post variable? Every auto-submit I've found so far relied upon javascript, which would be useless at PHP command line.
