  • two instances of tinymce with jquery ui causes chrome page to hang and be not responding

    in the cpanel that i'm developing thre is a department for articles in arabic and english so i used two tinymce editors one for arabic and the other is for english it works as expected, but the problem is that when i'm using chrome browser the page suddenly become not responding and never come back and i need to restart it but in IE8 no problem at all. i've found in chrome task manager that the memory usage of the page is over 22 kilobyte. i'm also using jquery ui. i've tried the following 1- using jquery plugin the compressor tiny_mce_gzip.php 2- decreasing the plugins of tinymce [ispell,layers,..] what is the solution or what is the cause

    I need apply a variable sequence of templates to an argument. example 1: arg:tpl1():tpl2():...:tplN() Suppose that i have other multi valued argument, and each value is the name for a dynamic template invocation. ¿What is the better form of apply all the templates from the list to my argument? tplNames : {name | <(name)(arg)>} not works, just apply a template ever to the same innitial value of my argument, i need the same result of example 1 but in a dynamic way.   • Problem with TabHost UI layout.

    What I'm trying to do is create a layout like this: +--------+ Search |EditText| [Button] +--------+ +---------+ |Tab 1 |---------+ | |Tab 2 | |---------+---------+-----------------+ | ListView Item 1 | | ListView Item 2 | | ListView Item 3 | | ListView Item 4 | | ListView Item 5 | | ListView Item 6 | | ListView Item 7 | | ListView Item 8 | | ListView Item 9 | | ListView Item 10 | +-------------------------------------+ So that's a TextView saying 'Search', an EditText and a button. Then below it the tabs - Tab 1 has a ListView, Tab 2 some other stuff. I can get a simple TabHost setup with two tabs working fine but can't get the above to lay out properly. Any hints ? I'd create the UI in the Eclipse designer and check the XML from that, except the designer doesn't work with TabHost. And DroidDraw doesn't seem to know about TabHost.

    I've searched everywhere, but I can't seem to find any help... I have some textboxes that are created dynamically via JS, so I need to bind all of their classes to an autocomplete. As a result, I need to use the new .live() option. As an example, to bind all items with a class of .foo now and future created: $('.foo').live('click', function(){ alert('clicked'); }); It takes (and behaves) the same as .bind(). However, I want to bind an autocomplete... This doesn't work: $('.foo').live('autocomplete', function(event, ui){ source: 'url.php' // (surpressed other arguments) }); How can I use .live() to bind autocomplete?   • Creating a Dynamic Image using Friends pictures

    I am working on a Facebook for which I need to get all the Profile Pictures of Friends of the users. Which I did using FQL query. I need these images for creating a poster of all the Friends Profile pics along tags in them. For that I need to create a Dynamic poster for every user with their Friends tagged in them. I tried using the GD Library for PHP. I tried with the imagecreatefromjpeg() function of php for which I can use one image and pass it to the main image. But here I have more than 1 images (average about 100 images) depending on the number of friends the user has. What function do I need to create this dynamic poster ? Please any help would be appreciated !!

    I'm working on complex user control(with Telerik components). I'm trying to implement following functionality: Typing some text in RadTextBox(let say: "Hello.txt"). Clicking on Button "Check". onClientClick for button "Check" will call WCF method with parameters. Let say that this request/response will take more that 10 seconds, meanwhile I'll see loading image near TextBox AND the most important, I can continue to work on other fields.   • <embed> in HTML loaded by Webview Broken in Sense UI

    I have a WebView that loads HTML that contains an <embed>. When loading in stock android (G1, NexusOne, Ion, etc) it looks fine and can be clicked on to watch it in the YouTube app. But when loading it using either the HTC EVO or Incredible (both Sense UI phones ) the space where the content should be is completely blank. Try this code below... Any ideas? I'm stumped. Certainly looks like an HTC Sense bug? WebView wv = (WebView) findViewById(R.id.wv1); wv.getSettings().setJavaScriptEnabled(true); wv.getSettings().setBuiltInZoomControls(true); wv.getSettings().setPluginsEnabled(true); wv.loadData("Here is the test embed: ", "text/html", "UTF-8"); In my testing, this will run fine on all Android versions, without SenseUI, but it shows blank for what looks like any SenseUI phone, so the user can't click on it.

    I'm trying to figure out the best way to make an image rotate along with a user's finger dragging it left or right. I want to try and match the rate a user's finger is moving with the rate the image is rotating. I've got the basic setup for my application going, with the menus and whatnot I want to have, and that's all running great on the emulator, I'm just not sure how to approach this part. I can code all the logic I need for my app, I'm just not doing to well designing the UI, I have a picture in mind, I've actually made a couple mock images of it, I just can't figure out how to get it going in Android, and any help would be appreciated.

    Hello, I had inserted two jQuery tabs on my site. One div container had the id - tabs and another had the id tabs-for-views. Both of them were working fine till sometime ago, until i made some changes. I don't remember what the exact changes were.. Right now, the first tab uses the jQuery UI theme I am using. As in, I can see the tab navigation and content panels - but on clicking the tabs nothing happens. But the second (tabs-for-views) is not even converted to proper tabs format.   • Recieveing "EXC_BAD_ACCESS" before any UI elements load (on device only)

    Everything works fine on the simulator, but I gete EXC_BAD_ACCESS when I try to load my app on the device. I've put in a bunch of NSLogs to try and catch where it happens, but the log statements are never reached. Also, the UI doesn't load. So, seems the problem is happening before any of my code is reached. I tried a clean build, no luck. Also tried building and installing a different app, which works fine. So, looks like there's something wrong with my app, but it's something that happens before any of my code gets called. So, any ideas?

    I'm trying to make a form that handles the checking of a domain: the form should fail based on a variable that was set earlier in another form. Basically, when a user wants to create a new domain, this form should fail if the entered domain exists. When a user wants to move a domain, this form should fail if the entered domain doesn't exist. I've tried making it dynamic overload the initbut couldn't see a way to get my passed variabele to the clean function. I've read that this dynamic validation can be accomplished using a factory method, but maybe someone can help me on my way with this?     I have very long select query which i need to filter based on some params, i'm trying to avoid having different stored procedures or if statements inside of single stored procedure by using partly dynamic TSQL... I will avoid long select just for example sake select a from b where c=@c or d=@d @c and @d are filter params, only one can filter at the same time but also both filters could be disabled. 0 for each of these means param is disables so i can create nvarchar with where statement in it... How do i integrate in here dynamic query so 'where' can be added to normal query. I cannot add all the query as big nvarchar because there is too many things in it which will require changes ( ie. when's, subqueries, joins)

The problem is, if the first few chars match something and then you enter a char that should "break" any match, it just keeps the drop down in place with the results for the last matched char... make sense? Would this be something I needed to change in the script that returns the data or something in the jquery? thanks!

    Trying to get a GWT project off the ground and finding it difficult to do any basic routing. Trying to fire up different UI's based on the URL. Thought I could set a string based on the getHash() and then switch off that, but seems cumbersome (and annoying since I can't do string-based switches in Java). There's got to be a best practice for this. I know Gerrit uses hashes for determining this type of information but couldn't find where they do it in the source. Or is this totally not GWT-related? Something I can handle in web.xml? Any help is much appreciated.

    If it's important to keep data access 'away' from business and presentation layers, what alternatives or approaches can I take so that my LINQ to SQL entities can stay in the data access layer? So far I seem to be simply duplicating the classes produced by sqlmetal, and passing those object around instead simply to keep the two layers appart. For example, I have a table in my DB called Books. If a user is creating a new book via the UI, the Book class generated by sqlmetal seems like a perfect fit although I'm tightly coupling my design by doing so.

  • Displaying conditional amount of fields in UI (Android)

    I am using layout xml documents for my ui controls. I need to create and remove these controls (input fields) on the fly, based on how many results I get back from my database. For each group, there can be 0..* fields and these are prepopulated from the database. Also, it would be good if I can invoke a method to create an additional field; something like the address book, where you can click + or - to add or remove a phone or other detail. In a "psuedo" style, I'm guessing something like this: Check database - How many of X are there [y]? Create Y fields. The user may then add new fields, so once I click submit i need to apply all of that to database. Any examples or hints greatly welcomed. Hope this make sense! :)

My question is often we are writing core service layer separately from web/UI layer so we can reuse same services for different UI layer/technology. So practically is it possible to reuse same core layer services without any changes/addition in API with different kind of UI technologies/layers. For e.g. same core service layer with UI technology which supports synchronized request response (e.g. jsp etc.) and non synchronize or event driven UI technology (e.g Ajax, Flex, GWT etc.) or with multiple devices like (computers, mobiles, pdas etc.). Personally I feel its very tough to write core service layer without any knowledge of UI. Looking for thoughts from other people.
