Fluent NHibernate MappingException : could not instantiate id generator

I'm pottering around with Fluent NHibernate to try and get a simple app up and running. I'm running through this Fluent NHibernate Tutorial. Everything seems to be going fine and I've created the required classes etc. and it all builds, but when I run the test, I get an exception. Someone in the comments section of the tutorial has the same problem, but I can't find any good information on what's causing it. Any help appreciated. It's probably something trivial. Exception details: FluentNHTest.Tests.Mappings.CustomerMappingTests.ValidateMappings: FluentNHibernate.Cfg.FluentConfigurationException : An invalid or incomplete configuration was used while creating a SessionFactory. Facebook Connect via Javascript doesn't close and doesn't pass session id

I have a script that loops and adds markers one at a time. I have a class which bundles events and registers controls to easily register/unregister them, it's basically used this way: Private Sub MyFocusHandler(ByVal sender As Object, ...) ... End Sub ... The ControlRegistration-Class will cycle through the list of registered controls and check if a control has a registered event and then attach the eventhandler, something like: ... .net user control event handler lost on postback

I have a menu usercontrol called LeftMenu that has a bulletedlist of linkitems. It's on the ascx page as such: <asp:BulletedList ID="PublisherList" DisplayMode="LinkButton" OnClick="PublisherList_Click" cssClass="Menu" runat="server"></asp:BulletedList> I databind the list in the page_load under if(!isPostBack) I'm having an issue on a page that loads the control. When the page first loads, the event handler fires. However, when the page posts back it no longer fires and in IE8, when I'm debugging, I get "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object expected" in Visual Studio pointing at "doPostBack('LeftMenu$PublisherList','0')." In FF I don't get the error, but nothing happens. I'm **not loading the control dynamically, it's loaded on the aspx page using: <%@ Register TagPrefix="Standards" TagName="LeftMenu" Src="LeftMenu.ascx" %> <Standards:LeftMenu ID="LeftMenu" runat="server"/> Any ideas of where I'm losing the event handler? I just realized this is happening on another user control I have as well. A text box and a button and I'm using the default button to make sure pressing the enter key uses that button. .Net converts that in the html to: <div id="SearchBarInclude_SearchBar" onkeypress="javascript:return WebForm_FireDefaultButton(event, 'SearchBarInclude_QuickSearchButton')"> so as soon as i enter a key in the box I get a javascript error at the line saying "object expected." It seems like the two issues are related. Edit Again: I think I need to clarify. It's not that I'm clicking on the menu item and it can't find the selected item on postback. I have this search page with the left navigation on it and then the main content of the page is something that causes a postback. Everything is fine with this postback. Once that page has been posted back, now if I click on the bulleted list in the left navigation I get a javascript error and it fails. The page_init for the LeftMenu control is never called.

I want to select an element based on it's class and id, I have seen many similar questions on SO. Most of the users ask why would you ever want to do this - which is not very helpful, trust me, this is the simplest way of solving my UI problem, and it's a very unique and intereting UI related to making generic triple stores easily browsable. At the moment the jQUery looks like this: $(document).ready( function() { $(".predicates").hide(); $(".objects").hide(); $("#subject").click( function() { $("#predId, .predicates").toggle(); // this line } ); $("#predId").click( function() { $("#objId, .objects").toggle(); } ); }); The line I am really interested in is this $("#predId, .predicates").toggle(); how do I get the select to ensure that both #predId and .predicates are true, at the moment it seems that only one or the other has to be true. Is there something like an && operator?

How to get notified about changes on SharePoint groups.

Hi, I'm actual looking for a way to get notified about any changes on a SharePoint group. First I though I would be able to this by attaching a event handler to some kind of group list. But unfortunately there are no such list representing SharePoint groups. My second attempt was to bind a event handler to the content type SharePointGroup but this didn't work either. So are there any other options to get notified about events on a SharePoint group? Bye, Flo EDIT: Thanks for the reply so far. I forgot to mention that I've already googled and read about the user information list. Sorry. First I found a forum entry where they post the relative URL to the user information list (_catalogs/users/simple.aspx). When I'm using this link to see the list,it only contains users and no groups. I don't know but perhaps this link does some filtering on the list. The other information I found about in several blog and forum posts was that a event handler attached to the user information list are not fired up on an events. I have to admit after reading that it doesn't work so many times and even on MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa979520.aspx), I didn't try it on my own. The problem attaching the event handler to the content type wasn't the attaching thing, the handler simply didn't get fired when I for example changed a group name or deleted a user from the group. I don't have an idea why the handler doesn't get called I pretty sure I implemented the right methods and attached them to the right events. Any other suggestions how to get informed about changes on SharePoint groups?

Unit testing that an event is raised in C#, using reflection

I want to test that setting a certain property (or more generally, executing some code) raises a certain event on my object. In that respect my problem is similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/248989/unit-testing-that-an-event-is-raised-in-c, but I need a lot of these tests and I hate boilerplate. So I'm looking for a more general solution, using reflection. Ideally, I would like to do something like this: [TestMethod] public void TestWidth() { MyClass myObject = new MyClass(); AssertRaisesEvent(() => { myObject.Width = 42; }, myObject, "WidthChanged"); } For the implementation of the AssertRaisesEvent, I've come this far: private void AssertRaisesEvent(Action action, object obj, string eventName) { EventInfo eventInfo = obj.GetType().GetEvent(eventName); int raisedCount = 0; Action incrementer = () => { ++raisedCount; }; Delegate handler = /* what goes here? */; eventInfo.AddEventHandler(obj, handler); action.Invoke(); eventInfo.RemoveEventHandler(obj, handler); Assert.AreEqual(1, raisedCount); } As you can see, my problem lies in creating a Delegate of the appropriate type for this event. The delegate should do nothing except invoke incrementer. Because of all the syntactic syrup in C#, my notion of how delegates and events really work is a bit hazy. How to do this?

Jquery dynamic button : how to bind to exisitng click event by class

I have a click event triggered by the class selector inside the jquery ready scope: $(".testBtn").click(function() { alert("This Works"); }); This works fine for static buttons how ever this doesn't work for dynamic buttons which are added upon clicking the button with "addRowBtn" id. I'm guessing that it has something to do with that the button is created after the event is registered but still the new button has the 'testBtn' class so it makes sense it should work. Any idea what am i doing wrong and how to make the dynamic buttons registered to the class selector click event? CompositeDataBoundControl - databound values overwritten before event is fired due to DummyDataSourc

I have a custom servercontrol that inherits from CompositeDataBoundControl. I have three templates: one header template, one footer template and one item template. The item template can contain a checkbox that I use to decide if I should delete the item. In the footer and/or header templates I have a button with a CommandName of "DeleteItem". When that button is clicked, I handle the event in OnBubbleEvent: if (cea.CommandName == "DeleteItem") { //loop through the item list and get the selected rows List<int> itemsToDelete = new List<int>(); foreach(Control c in this.Controls){ if (c is ItemData) { ItemData oid = (ItemData)c; CheckBox chkSel = (CheckBox)oid.FindControl("chkSelected"); if (chkSel.Checked) { itemsToDelete.Add(oid.Item.Id); } } } foreach (int id in itemsToDelete) { DeleteItem(id); } } } The problem is that Item is null since the CreateChildControls method already has been run as asp.net needs to recreate the control hierarchy before the event fire. It uses the DummyDataSource and a list of null objects to recreate the control hierarchy: IEnumerator e = dataSource.GetEnumerator(); if (e != null) { while (e.MoveNext()) { ItemData container = new ItemData (e.Current as OrderItem); ITemplate itemTemplate = this.ItemTemplate; if (itemTemplate == null) { itemTemplate = new DefaultItemTemplate(); } itemTemplate.InstantiateIn(container); Controls.Add(container); if (dataBinding) { container.DataBind(); } counter++; } } The problem is this line: ItemData container = new ItemData (e.Current as OrderItem); When the control hierarchy is rebuilt before the event is fired, the e.Current is null, so when I try to find out which item was marked for deletion, I get 0 since the original value has been overwritten. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

IIS EventLog Errors

I keep getting this error in my event viewer on IIS 6. I'm trying to figure out if my error resets my connection (maybe recycles the worker processes?). Why my buttons OnClick event fails to fire?

I have an activity, where the ListView holds customized linear layout elements for each row. How can you query for an object using one of its properties' id

I have two entities, say, House and People, where multiple people can live in one house. It's a unidirectional link where each Person has a field for which House they belong to, so the Person table has a column named house_id. I need to be able to return all the Person objects who belong to a certain House, but I only have the id of the house. This can be done like this: House house = houseDAO.findById(houseId); List people = session.createCriteria(Person.class).add(Restrictions.eq("house", house)).list(); But since I don't need the house, that's adding an unnecessary query. I've tried to do: session.createCriteria(Person.class).add(Restrictions.eq("house_id", houseId)).list(); But that doesn't work because house_id is not a property, it's a database column. I could just add an sql restriction, but is there a hibernate way of doing this?

How can I tell when something outside my UITableViewCell has been touched?

Similar to this question I have a custom subclass of UITableViewCell that has a UITextField. Its working fine except the keyboard for doesn't go away when the user touches a different table view cell or something outside the table. I'm trying to figure out the best place to find out when something outside the cell is touched, then I could call resignFirstResponder on the text field. If the UITableViewCell could receive touch events for touches outside of its view then it could just resignFirstResponder itself but I don't see any way to get those events in the cell. The solution I'm considering is to add a touchesBegan:withEvent: method to the view controller. There I could send a resignFirstResponder to all tableview cells that are visible except the one that the touch was in (let it get the touch event and handle it itself). Maybe something like this pseudo code: - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event { CGPoint touchPoint = // TBD - may need translate to cell's coordinates for (UITableViewCell* aCell in [theTableView visibleCells]) { if (![aCell pointInside:touchPoint withEvent:event]) { [aCell resignFirstResponder]; } } } I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about this. There doesn't seem to be any way for the tableviewcell itself to receive event notifications for events outside its view.

Nmock2 and Event Expectations

Im in the process of writing a test for a small application that follows the MVP pattern. Technically, I know I should have written the test before the code, but I needed to knock up a demo app quick smart and so im now going back to the test before moving on to the real development. In short I am attempting to test the presenter, however I cannot even get an empty test to run due to an Internal.ExpectationException. The exception is raised on a unexpected invocation of an event assignation. Here is the presenter class, public LBCPresenter(IView view, IModel model) { m_model = model; m_model.BatteryModifiedEvent += new EventHandler(m_model_BatteryModifiedEvent); } Model Interface public interface IModel { event EventHandler BatteryModifiedEvent; } And here is the test class, I can't see what im missing, ive told NMock to expect the event... I need an MySQL Skript which does the following: delete chunks of the database until it has deleted all link_id's greater then 10000 exmaple: x = 10000 DELETE FROM pligg_links WHERE link_id > x and link_id < x+10000 x = x + 10000 ... So it would delete DELETE FROM pligg_links WHERE link_id > 10000 and link_id < 20000 then DELETE FROM pligg_links WHERE link_id > 20000 and link_id < 30000 until all id's less then 10000 have been removed I need this because the database is very very big (more then a gig) thank in advance

Station ID - more than IP

Hello I am working on internal PHP application where users login only from our network (we are on dedicated IP and application is checking $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] and if is match our IP go thru if not - Bye However how I can identify from which station user is login ? Using cookie not gonna work - those are windows station working under control MS StedyState and all cookies are deleted every login I don't need nothing fancy like full MAC address just any unique ID (can not be application username - because users use different stations) Any ideas ? Maybe Javascript is able to grab some Unique detail from station's browser (IE 8) and pass this as hidden input? bensiu

Efficient persistent storage for simple id to table of values map for java

I need to store some data that follows the simple pattern of mapping an "id" to a full table (with multiple rows) of several columns (i.e. some integer values [u, v, w]). The size of one of these tables would be a couple of KB. Basically what I need is to store a persistent cache of some intermediary results. This could quite easily be implemented as simple sql, but there's a couple of problems, namely I need to compress the size of this structure on disk as much as possible. (because of amount of values I'm storing) Also, it's not transactional, I just need to write once and simply read the contents of the entire table, so a relational DB isn't actually a very good fit. I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions? For some reason I can't seem to come up with something decent atm. Especially something with an API in java would be nice.

parse youtube video id using preg_match

Hi, I am attempting to parse the video ID of a youtube URL using preg_match.
