• .htaccess is not working at all

  i want to change this url localhost/classAds/classInc/home.php to localhost/classAds/classInc/home/ for this i created .htacess file as follow, RewriteEngine On #Turn on the rewriting engine RewriteRule ^home/?$ home.php [NC,L] #Handle requests for "home" and put this file in C:\wamp\www\classAds and then C:\wamp\www\classAds\classInc but at both places it did not work,i checked Apache error log but nothing there. actually i an new to this thing.. any idea please??

• System.Web.UI not available in console app?

  Hey everybody, Im trying to write a quick console app that outputs data to an HTML file, however im having trouble accessing the System.Web.UI namespace. Adding System.Web to my references places a warning icon on top of the reference name in the solution explorer and System.Web is not available in the .NET reference list (in order for me to actually add it to the project I have to go to the object browser and add it from there). Anybody have any ideas about what I could be missing? Thanks alot people!

  Can anyone please confirm that yes/no Gnuplot 4.5 (on CVS) can output 2D animated PNG files? I have numerous datasets but one line that I'd like to show iteratively in 3 different places in my graph. Can this be done directly from gnuplot or is this something that would need to be animated externally from multiple frames?

  Some of my AJAX calls in IE6 and IE7 seem to randomly time out. It doesn't happen in any of the other browsers. Posting code won't be of much help, because it literally happens in three or four different places where the functions and code are completely different.   hi i have a weird problem and here we go: i am redirecting using this command : return RedirectToAction("ViewMessage", "Account", new {id = model.MessageId}); but in ViewMessage action when i try to get id, its null ?!?!?!?!?? string strMessageId = RouteData.Values["id"] as string; i have done this code in lots of places and it works fine but i dont know what is going on here.... :( i know i can use TempData but i dont want to :)

• How to safely let users run arbitrary Ruby code?

  I realize this sounds a little crazy, but I'm working on a project for which I need a server to run user-provided Ruby code and return the result.   Using String.Format how can i ensure all numbers have commas after every 3 digits eg 23000 = "23,000" and that 0 returns "0". String.Format("{0:n}", 0); //gives 0.00 which i dont want. I dont want any decimal places, all numbers will be integers.

  Hi, i'm developing an app which download map tiles around different places in a city. To do this, i have one thread for each place in which i select the tiles and create a thread to download each. Well, the question is how to avoid creating a thread for a tile that already exists in the thread pool. Should not just check if the file exists, since it is possible that the thread for that tile already exists (other place already need that tile) but the file has not been created- Any idea? Thanks
