  • Looking for a wsdl-based scaffolding framework.

    I am looking for a wsdl scaffolding framework, or even better if it was a POCO scaffolding framework. I need something like Dynamic Data, but running on wsdl metadata instead of db. I am currently using office infopath which generates decent forms based on wsdl, but I would like to have it in my app, and generated at runtime. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

  • IEnumerable<T> ToArray usage, is it a copy or a pointer?

    I am parsing an arbitrary length byte array that is going to be passed around to a few different layers of parsing. Each parser creates a Header and a Packet payload just like any ordinary encapsulation. And my problem lies in how the encapsulation holds its packet byte array payload. Say i have a 100 byte array, and it has 3 levels of encapsulation. 3 packet objects will be created and i want to set the payload of these packets to the corresponding position in the byte array of the packet. For example lets say the payload size is 20 for all levels, then imagine it has a public byte[] Payload on each object. However the problem is that this byte[] Payload is a copy of the original 100 bytes. So i'm going to end up with 160 bytes in memory instead of 100. If it were in c++ i could just easily use a pointer however i'm writing this in c#. So i created the following class: public class PayloadSegment<T> : IEnumerable<T> { public readonly T[] Array; public readonly int Offset; public readonly int Count; public PayloadSegment(T[] array, int offset, int count) { this.Array = array; this.Offset = offset; this.Count = count; } public T this[int index] { get { if (index < 0 || index >= this.Count) throw new IndexOutOfRangeException(); else return Array[Offset + index]; } set { if (index < 0 || index >= this.Count) throw new IndexOutOfRangeException(); else Array[Offset + index] = value; } } public IEnumerator<T> GetEnumerator() { for (int i = Offset; i < Offset + Count; i++) yield return Array[i]; } System.Collections.IEnumerator System.Collections.IEnumerable.GetEnumerator() { IEnumerator<T> enumerator = this.GetEnumerator(); while (enumerator.MoveNext()) { yield return enumerator.Current; } } } This way i can simply reference a position inside the original byte array but use positional indexing. However if i do something like: PayloadSegment<byte> something = new PayloadSegment<byte>(someArray, 5, 10); byte[] somethingArray = something.ToArray(); Will the somethingArray be a copy of the bytes, or a reference to the original PayloadSegment which in turn is a reference to the original byte array?   • Jquery: Calling functions from different documents

    Hi, I've got some Jquery functions that I keep in a "custom.js" file. On some pages, I need to pass PHP variables to the Jquery so some Jquery bits need to remain in the HTML documents. However, as I'm now trying to refactor things to the minimum, I'm tripping over the following: If I put this in my custom.js: $(document).ready(function() { function sayHello() { alert("hello"); } } And this in a HTML document: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { sayHello(); }); </script> ... the function doesn't get called. However, if both are placed in the HTML document, the function works fine. Is there some kind of public property I need to declare for the function or how do I get Jquery functions in my HTML to talk to external .js files? They're correctly included and work fine otherwise.   • Visual Studio 2010 "Not enough storage is available to process this command"

    I'm fighting with VS 2010 and this error that seems to be very common in previous versions, but it looks like not everyone is having it in the latest version. I've got VS 2010 SP1 and I'm getting this error quite often. The problem is that it's not even enough to restart VS in order to make it go away, I usually have to restart my pc, and i'm losing a lot of time doing this (it's quite frequent) I've got Windows 7 32bits (can't upgrade to 64 bits, the company doesn't allow it), and I can't do things like creating another solution (please don't reply this :) ) I've used the command to make devenv.exe LARGEADDRESSAWARE, but the error keeps on happening My virtual memory size is set to automatic, and the weird thing is that VS doesn't even take 2gb of ram, so I don't know if the error is really because it's lacking memory, or if it's some bug in the program any ideas, things to try, something?

Now, as I understood, In the third calculation, we got an infinite search (failture branch). I check it, and I got a finite search (failture branch). I'll explain: In the first, we got a substitue of M=0, N=s(0) (rule 1 - succsess!). In the second, we got a substitue of M=s(0),N=0 (rule 2 - sucsses!). But what now? I try to match M=s(s(0)) N=0, But it got a finite search - failture branch. Why the comipler doesn't write me "fail". Thank you.

    I have a Store that contains a list of Products: var store = new Store(); store.Products.Add(new Product{ Id = 1, Name = "Apples" }; store.Products.Add(new Product{ Id = 2, Name = "Oranges" }; Database.Save(store); Now, I want to edit one of the Products, but with a transient entity. This will be, for example, data from a web browser: // this is what I get from the web browser, this product should // edit the one that's already in the database that has the same Id var product = new Product{ Id = 2, Name = "Mandarin Oranges" }; store.Products.Add(product); Database.Save(store); However, trying to do it this way gives me an error: a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session How do I get around this problem?

Is there a mistake in the code, or is there any better code to do this?

    In my utility method: public static <T> T getField(Object obj, Class c, String fieldName) { try { Field field = c.getDeclaredField(fieldName); field.setAccessible(true); return (T) field.get(obj); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); fail(); return null; } } The line return (T) field.get(obj); gives the warning "Type safety: Unchecked cast from Object to T"; but I cannot perform instanceof check against type parameter T, so what am I suppose to do here?

    Hi, I'm trying to create a basic shopping cart, having an issue with the product page allowing users to add more items to their cart then are in stock (I have code in place to prevent this on the view cart page, just not the view product page) This is what I have so far; for ($i = 0; $i < $numItem; $i++) { extract($cartContent[$i]); $subTotal += $price * $cartQuantity; $cartLimiter[$itemNo => $cartQuantity]; Using an array so the position number becomes the item number and the cart quantity becomes the assigned value, however it doesn't seem to like it and throws out on the bottom line of code: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW, expecting ']' Thanks

  • centering a div without setting width

    Is there a way to do this? When using navigation that can change the number of items often, it would be nice not having to calculate the with and updating the css, but just having a solution that works. if that's impossible (I'm assuming it is) can anyone point me to a javascript that can do this? edit re: provide code some code basically I'm working with, what I think is, the most typical setup <div class="main"> <div class="nav"> <ul> <li>short title</li> <li>Item 3 Long title</li> <li>Item 4 Long title</li> <li>Item 5 Long title</li> <li>Item 6 Extra Long title</li> </ul> </div> </div> edit .main { width:100%; text-align:center; } .nav { margin:0 auto; } .nav ul li { display:inline; text-align:left; } the issue I've found with this/these solutions is that the content is nudged to the right adding some right padding (of 40px) seems to fix this across the browsers I'm checking on (O FF IE). .nav { margin:0 auto; padding-right:40px; } I don't know where this value is coming from though and why 40px fixes this. Does anyone know where this is coming from? it's not a margin or padding but no matter what I do the first about 40px can not be used for placement. Maybe it's the ul or li that's adding this. I've had a look at the display:table-cell way of doing this, but there's that complication with IE and it still has the same issue as the other solution edit (final) okay I've tried some things in regard to the indent. I've reset all padding to 0 *{padding:0;} that fixed it, and I don't need to offset the padding (I think I'll leave my whole process up so if anyone comes across this, it'll save them some time) thanks for the comments and replies

  • RSA implementations for Java, alternative to BC

    The RSA implementation that ships with Bouncy Castle only allows the encrypting of a single block of data. The RSA algorithm is not suited to streaming data and should not be used that way. In a situation like this you should encrypt the data using a randomly generated key and a symmetric cipher, after that you should encrypt the randomly generated key using RSA, and then send the encrypted data and the encrypted random key to the other end where they can reverse the process (ie. decrypt the random key using their RSA private key and then decrypt the data). I can't use the workarond of using symmetric key. So, are there other implementations of RSA than Bouncy Castle?

  • How do I manage dependencies for automated builds on my build server?

    I'm trying to implement continuous integration into our day to day workings. In our team, we're moving from just building our code in Visual Studio on our workstations and deploying, to using MSBuild.exe and automating on our build server (which is Jenkins) without the use of Visual Studio. We have external dependencies to references such as Automap in our projects. Because the automap (for example) dll isn't on the build server, the msbuild execution fails, for obvious reasons. There are other dll's which I need to be part of the build, I'm just using automap as an example. So what's the best way to get any dependencies onto the build server as part of the automated build? I've seen references to using a 'lib' folder, but I don't really understand where I should be putting it (in my project, filesystem, SVN ...?), and how the build server will get to it. I've also read that NuGet can do something with dependencies, but my build server isn't connected to the internet, and I don't understand how I can get my build to pull a NuGet package I may have created, and how it works together. Edit: I'm using subversion and we cannot use TeamCity as we would have to buy it and there's zero chance of funding.

  • Using Gradle with an existing Android project

    I have an existing Android project with the following structure: - ProjectName -- AndroidManifest.xml -- local.properties -- project.properties -- assets -- libs (containing all jars) -- modules (containing all library projects my project depends on) -- res -- src ---- com/namespace/projectname (all my classes including main activity are here) I haven't been using any specific build system to build my project other than the one provided by default with the Android Studio IDE (though the project was originally created with IntelliJ CE. I would like to use Gradle with the android plugin and do some work on my build process. I have tried several configurations in order to achieve this and have failed to complete a successful build every time. What's the recommended approach in this scenario? should I change my project structure? or is it possible to configure gradle using the existing structure? Any help would be greatly appreciated. All it does it spit out the input fron the client script, which is right. So if i change the web service to ssl i always get a connection reset (101). I tried several ports 80,443,9999 with the same outcome. What is the error?

    I'm running into a problem using dojo.connect() to connect an 'onclick' event with this button: <button dojoType="dijit.form.Button" widgetId="inbox_button" id="inbox_button">Inbox</button> and the code making the connection is: var inbox_button=dojo.byId("inbox_button"); dojo.connect(inbox_button,'onclick',function(){ var container=dijit.byId("center"); container.addChild(new dijit.layout.ContentPane({region: "left", content: "...", style: "width: 100px;"})) }); However, instead of executing the function when the button is clicked, ANY onclick event triggers the function, and I end up with a lot of children containers. Even though I'm pretty certain the .connect() function should be available as part of dojo's base functionality, I've 'required' it explicitly: dojo.require("dojo._base.connect"); Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

    So I have a class of overloaded methods like this: class Foo { public void test(Object value) { ... } public void test(String value) { ... } } I need to pass a property value of a bean to one of these methods depending on its type, but I don't know the actual property type until the runtime. e.g. public void run(Object bean, String propertyName) { Foo foo = new Foo(); foo.test(PropertyUtils.getProperty(bean, propertyName)); } BTW, PropertyUtils.getProperty() is a helper method that returns a value of the specified property on a bean. PropertyUtils.getProperty() returns an Object, so that test(Object value) will be always called and the actual property type will be ignored. I can figure out the propery type in the runtime, even if its value is null. Is there such a thing as dynamic casting in Java? If not, is there a way to have an overloaded method with the correct parameter type called?

  • Java: how do I get a class literal from a generic type?

    Typically, I've seen people use the class literal like this: Class<Foo> cls = Foo.class; But what if the type is generic, e.g. List? This works fine, but has a warning since List should be parameterized: Class<List> cls = List.class So why not add a <?>? Well, this causes a type mismatch error: Class<List<?>> cls = List.class I figured something like this would work, but this is just a plain ol' a syntax error: Class<List<Foo>> cls = List<Foo>.class How can I get a Class<List<Foo>> statically, e.g. using the class literal? I could use @SuppressWarnings("unchecked") to get rid of the warnings caused by the non-parameterized use of List in the first example, Class<List> cls = List.class, but I'd rather not. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Is there a multipart POST library out there that achieve the same effect of doing a POST from a html form? for example - upload a file programmingly in Java versus upload the file using a html form. And on the server side, it just blindly expect the request from client side to be a multipart POST request and parse out the data as appropriate. Has anyone tried this? specifically, I am trying to see if I can simulate the following with Java The user creates a blob by submitting an HTML form that includes one or more file input fields. Your app sets blobstoreService.createUploadUrl() as the destination (action) of this form, passing the function a URL path of a handler in your app. When the user submits the form, the user's browser uploads the specified files directly to the Blobstore. The Blobstore rewrites the user's request and stores the uploaded file data, replacing the uploaded file data with one or more corresponding blob keys, then passes the rewritten request to the handler at the URL path you provided to blobstoreService.createUploadUrl(). This handler can do additional processing based on the blob key. Finally, the handler must return a headers-only, redirect response (301, 302, or 303), typically a browser redirect to another page indicating the status of the blob upload. Set blobstoreService.createUploadUrl as the form action, passing the application path to load when the POST of the form is completed. <body> <form action="<%= blobstoreService.createUploadUrl("/upload") %>" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <input type="file" name="myFile"> <input type="submit" value="Submit"> </form> </body> Note that this is how the upload form would look if it were created as a JSP. The form must include a file upload field, and the form's enctype must be set to multipart/form-data. When the user submits the form, the POST is handled by the Blobstore API, which creates the blob. The API also creates an info record for the blob and stores the record in the datastore, and passes the rewritten request to your app on the given path as a blob key.

    Hi all, I face issue with retrieving (via javascript) width of the div which content is changed (just before reading the widht via offsetWidth) in dynamic way (via changing innerHTML or using createTextNode).
