  Hi, I need to do the following: In Crm, you have serviceappointments (serviceactivities). 1 appointment can have a state, ( like arrived, pending, closed, ... ). When i save the form (onsave event), It should catch if the form is putted closed state and then it should do something. I can get the state easily: alert(crmForm.all.statuscode.DataValue) I hanged this onto an onsave event. But when i put a serviceappointment into closed state, it first calls the onsave event with previous state and then puts it in closed state. Is it possible to catch if it's putted in closed state?

  My Word 2007 spell-check seems to work fine, except that when I paste in text from somewhere else, it won't detect any misspellings in that pasted text...no matter what I try. If it makes any difference, when I paste in text, the formatting is preserved (size color etc). I've tried doing a past-special and trying the different options there, but it's still bringing the formatting over. Any ideas on what to try?

What happens if task1 throws before the try has executed? Am I missing something that stops this being a race? • Deleting windows.edb and unchecking Indexing service lead to hard drive file records swapping

  I followed the instructions listed here:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/09/18/turn-off-and-disable-search-indexing-service-in-windows-xp/ to free up space on hard drive by deleting the windows.edb indexing file... I also stopped windows search service as mentioned in the comments following the article. In addition to unchecking the "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching" check box on the properties dialog for the C:\ drive, I did the same for two usb connected hard drives (J:\ and I:\ ). I'm not sure why I did that, thought it might shrink the windows.edb file so I wouldn't have to delete it (which sounded a bit risky in my ears at the time). The file of course didn't shrink so I ended up deleting it and freeing up over 3 GB of space, yeehaw. However, as soon as I had done this I could not access the usb connected hard drives anymore. The error I got was "I:\photos is not accessible" "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" when I tried to open the photos directory on I:\ Here is where I enter the twilight zone... I try disconnecting I:\ usb hard drive. But XP shows me that instead J:\ drive has disconnected and I:\ is still there. So I disconnect both drives and restart the computer. I then connect one drive, but it lists up the contents of the other drive on root level. I tried connecting the drives vice versa and the same thing happens. I try taking one of the hard drives to another computer and when I connect it there it lists up not its own contents but the contents of the other hard drive and gives the same error as above when I try and access any of the folders (even folders on the root that have the same name as folders on the other drive (e.g. J:\photos and I:\photos)??? And no, this is not a me mixing up my drive letters. Computer Manager - Disk management shows the same result as explorer: The drive size is correct (one is 500GB, the other is 640GB) but the drive name is of the opposite drive, as long as the contents. Also, one drive was full of data and the other almost empty but they incorrectly show their free space status of the other drive. Somehow the usb drives seem to have switched file tables, file records, boot records or something, extremely weird! Even weirder, if I try and create a text file or folder on this drive, it works fine, accessing them, saving, whatever, all good, but accessing any other data on the drive gives me an error. Does anyone have a clue what is going on and more importantly, how I can restore the correct folder listings to access my family photos ??? cheers, linni

• Inserting snippets from macros

  In Visual Studio 2008 I had a macro which would insert a snippet and input today's date in one of the replacements. When I try to run this macro in VS 2010 it doesn't work. No matter how I try it will not insert a snippet. When I try the following command: DTE.ExecuteCommand("Edit.InvokeSnippetFromShortcut", "snippetName") This fails with error "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. I tried recording a new macro and when I pressed the keyboard shortcut for inserting a snippet (Ctrl+K, Ctrl+X) VS gave the error "The command Insert Snippet is not currently available." Did MS remove the ability to insert snippets from macros? If so this really is a shame because macros have functionality not found in snippets and vice versa.

• struts2 StringLengthFieldValidator annotation not working for empty string

  Let's say I have this annotation for a struts2 validation: @StringLengthFieldValidator(key = "key14", fieldName = "poNumber", minLength = "1", maxLength = "255", message = "poNumber must be between 1 and 255 characters.") public void setPoNumber(String poNumber) { this.poNumber = poNumber; } The behavior I'm seeing is that if I pass a string that is empty to this setter, (ex. setPoNumber("")) the validator doesn't catch the error. Strings that are over 255 are caught fine. Equally strange is if I change minLength to 2 and pass a string of length 1, it will catch the error as well. But empty string does not seem to be caught when minLength = "1". For this reason, I cannot use this validator. I just wondered if I'm doing something wrong. I'm using struts 2.1.8.1. Thanks for any advice.

• Can't ping devices by IP address for devices allocated IPs by DHCP

  I have a home network with a Trendnet wireless router and a Windows Domain. The Domain Controller/DNS server is a Windows 2000 Server and is configured to forward queries to DNS servers provided by the ISP. The router provides DHCP and is configured with the Windows 2000 Server as the DNS server. The network has been set up for a couple of years and usually works fine. When I connect iPhones to the network over WiFi, the router can ping the iPhones through its browser based admin interface, but Windows machines that are part of the Windows Domain cannot. A laptop was connected to the network over WiFi that wasn't joined to the domain and it could see the iPhones. The router UI shows that the laptop has a reserved IP allocated via DHCP. All machines either have a static or DHCP allocated IP on the 192.168.0.* subnet. Router - 192.168.0.1 - Static - Wired Windows Domain Controller - 192.168.0.8 - Static - Virtual Windows 7 Workstation - 192.168.0.200 - DHCP Auto - Wired VMWare ESXi Host - 192.168.0.201 - Static? - Wired iPhone 1 - 192.168.0.202 - DHCP Auto - WiFi iPhone 2 - 192.168.0.203 - DHCP Auto - WiFi Windows Vista Laptop - 192.168.0.204 - DHCP Reserved - WiFi Using the Windows 7 machine (200), I try to ping each machine and the only DHCP machine that responds is itself. The other DHCP machines fail with Reply from 192.168.0.200: Destination host unreachable.. Using nslookup fails with *** domain.controller.name can't find 192.168.0.203: Non-existent domain. Using the Windows 2000 Domain Controller (8), I try to ping each machine and the only DHCP machine that responds is the Windows 7 machine (200). Pinging the other DHCP machines fails with Request timed out.. Using nslookup also fails with *** domain.controller.name can't find 192.168.0.203: Non-existent domain. Using the iPhone 2 (203), I try to ping (Network Ping Lite) the machines with static IP addresses and that works fine. When I try to ping the Windows 7 machine (200) it is unable to get a response. How do I configure the DNS server/Windows Domain/Router properly so that the Windows Domain machines can see the IPs allocated via DHCP?

  Hi, I'm trying to call a thread on a button click (btn_more) but i cant get it right. The thread is to get some data and update the images. The problem i have is if i only update 4 or 5 images then it works fine. But if i load more than 5 images i will get a force close. At times when the internet is slow I will face the same problem too. Can please help me to solve this problem or provide me some guidance? The JobExecutor intern creates another executor (for doing db stuff...reading and writing data to queue) and completes the task. JobExecutor returns a Future for the tasks submitted. When one of the task fails, I want to gracefully interrupt all the threads and shutdown the executor by catching all the exceptions.   When I try clicking on a zip file link on a web page, IE 7 tries to open it as an XML document and displays: The XML page cannot be displayed Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again. I get around this by right-clicking and using Save Target As... Double clicking on a .zip in the file system opens my zip program without problems. How do I fix this problem?

  I've written a descendant of QTreeView with multiple columns. I want to create a popup menu that appears whe nthe user right-clicks over the column headers. I have tried catching signals from QTreeView for this, but QTreeView doesn't seem to emit signals on the headers. QTreeView.header() does. I therefore believe I must either: 1: connect one of QHeaderView's signals to a popup function - I have been unable to find a signal that is triggered on a single right click - I have tried sectionClicked, sectionHandleDoubleClicked, sectionDoubleClicked, sectionPressed (not surprised the double click functions didn't catch a single right click - but they do catch a double right click) self.header().sectionClicked.connect(self.headerMenu) self.header().sectionHandleDoubleClicked.connect(self.headerMenu) self.header().sectionDoubleClicked.connect(self.headerMenu) self.header().sectionPressed.connect(self.headerMenu) or, 2: write a descendant of QHeaderView with my own MousePressEvent function, and use that for my headers.   I'm trying to read XML that is being pushed to my java app. I originally had this in my glassfish server working.   Hi, I'm automating Word with Delphi, but some times I got an error message: The requested member of the collection does not exist It seems that the Item member of the Styles collection class does not always exist and some times causes the above mentioned error. My workaround is to catch the exception and skip it, but is there anyway to detect it instead of using the try...except block? The problem with the try...except block is that when debugging the raised exception is annoying...
