  • mysql NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO problem

    at least i think that is what the problem is. i am updating a mysql database through excel using an odbc like this: With rs .AddNew ' create a new record ' add values to each field in the record .Fields("datapath") = dpath .Fields("analysistime") = atime .Fields("reporttime") = rtime .Fields("lastcalib") = lcalib .Fields("analystname") = aname .Fields("reportname") = rname .Fields("batchstate") = "bstate" .Fields("instrument") = "NA" .Update ' stores the new record End With besides the fields above, i also have a primary key auto_increment field called rowid for some reason the only field that gets updated is instrument. none of the other fields get updated.. however, when i try to do the same updating on a table that has no ROWID auto_increment field, it works perfectly has anyone else experienced this kind of issue before?

  • Excel: Automating the Selection of an Unknown Number of Cells

    I’m trying to automate the formatting of an excel file by a macro and am seeking a solution. I have two columns titled Last Name and First Name which I would like to concatenate into a separate column titled Last Name, First Name. This is simple enough when done by hand: create one cell which does this, then drag that cell to include all cells within the range. The problem appears when trying to automate this. Because I can’t know the number of names that need to be concatenated ahead of time, I can’t automate the selection of cells by dragging. Can you help me automate this? I’ve tried a process of copying the initial concatenated cell, highlighting the column, and then pasting. I’ve also tried to use a formula which returned the concatenation only if there is text in the “Last Name” and “First Name” columns. However, in both cases, I end up with some 100,000 rows, putting a serious cramp on my ability to manipulate the worksheet. The best solution I can think of is to create concatenations within a fixed range of cells. Although this would create useless cells, at least there wouldn’t be 99,900 of them.

    H ow can i get 123 out of ::123:: in a sentence then store it in a variable. for example : hi i am john ::123::. It will look for :::: tags and get 123 from the it and strip off other words in the sentence. The results would be 123 I am not sure but is this able to work? $(document).ready(function(){ var store = $('.div').find(/::([^:]+)::/g); alert(store); }); How can i do this using jquery?

ActiveSheet.Shapes.SelectAll can any one tell me why this is happening? it works perfectly fine in one and not in other. one other thing i want to tell you is. it was working fine when i gave this macro excel to my client,both sheets were working fine, suddenly after 2 days, he started getting error on one sheet on which he was working lot. dont know why this is happening. can anyone tell me whats reason and how to solved it?

    Ok I'm trying to make search terms bold in this search script I'm making, except I can't get it to work case insensitive. function highlight($term,$target){ $terms = explode(" ", $term); foreach($terms as $term){ $result = (eregi_replace($term, "<strong>$term</strong>", $target)); } return $result; } That is the function I have so far.. It says on PHP.net that eregi_replace is case insensitive matching but it's obviously not working for some reason. (I'm a noob). Any ideas? :D

  • Do sfSubForm.fForm.RecordSource and Forms(fForm).RecordSource refer to the same object and property?

    Hi, this has me pretty confused and I can't find the answer anywhere else so thought I'd post here to see if anyone can help! I have a form in an Access 2007 database with a subform (sfSubform) embedded in it. The subform control's SourceObject is set to be another form (fForm). fForm's RecordSource starts out as a table. At one point I want to change the data displayed in the subform to the result of a SQL statement, so I use sfSubform.Form.RecordSource = strSQL. This works fine. However, if I ouput the name of the RecordSource for fForm after making this change, it still gives the name of the table that I orginially set. Does sfSubform.Form.RecordSource not change the source of fForm? Is it a copy of fForm that is embedded in the control? Hope all that makes sense.

In book1 excel file for example wherever you find country india the location field delhi has to be inserted right beside the country field and it has to be done for each and every country which i mentioned in book2 excel file and the output file has to be sorted according to the count at last.     b'h i will be programmatically importing a text file into a table. i have saved the import steps. i will use this: DoCmd.TransferText(TransferType, SpecificationName, TableName, FileName, HasFieldNames, HTMLTableName, CodePage) to do the import. this is what SpecificationName means: Specification Name The specification name for the set of options that determines how a text file is imported, exported, or linked. For a fixed-width text file, you must either specify a specification name or use a schema.ini file, which should be stored in the same directory as the imported, linked, or exported text file. i do need a specific specification; however i do not know how to specify one. when i manually imported a table, i did save the specifications for my import, however i do not know how to call this in the TransferText. does anyone know how to specify SpecificationName ?

  • using sed to replace whole word containing '='?

    EDIT i have something like this in a file: imagecolor=0 arrayimagecolorcopy=0 arrayimagecolorcopy3d=0 when i use sed -i -e 's/imagecolor=0/imagecolor=1/' it will change 1 and 2 line. But i only want it to replace first line. i also tried sed with \< \ and \b \b, but no luck. Could it be the '=' sign? Do we have something like -w as in grep command? Thank you.
