  • Date/time query from Access table ( last month)

    Hello, I am using the query builder from Visual Studio 2008 to extract data from an Access mdb ( 2003), but I can't make it to work with a datetime field. When I run it with a third party query app I have works fine, but when I try to implement it into visual studio I can't do it. What is the correct way to extract last month data? This is what I have: SELECT [Datos].[ID], [Datos].[E-mail Address], [Datos].[ZIP/Postal Code], [Datos].[Store], [Datos].[date], [Datos].[gender], [Datos].[age] FROM [Datos] WHERE ([Datos].[date] =<|Last month|>) Any help is appreciated.   • Best way to handle MySQL date for performance with thousands of users

    I am currently part of a team designing a site that will potentially have thousands of users who will be doing a number of date related searches. During the design phase we have been trying to determine which makes more sense for performance optimization. Should we store the datetime field as a mysql datetime. Or should be break it up into a number of fields (year, month, day, hour, minute, ...) The question is with a large data set and a potentially large set of users, would we gain performance wise breaking the datetime into multiple fields and saving on relying on mysql date functions? Or is mysql already optimized for this?

  • Accepted date format changed overnight

    Since yesterday I started encountering errors related to date formats in SQL Server 2008. Up until yesterday the following used to work. EXEC MyStoredProc '2010-03-15 00:00:00.000' Since yesterday I started getting out of range errors. After investigating I discovered the date as above is now being interpreted as "the 3rd of the 15th month" which will cause a out of range error. I have been able to fix this using the following format with the "T". EXEC MyStoredProc '2010-03-15T00:00:00.000' By using this format its working fine. Basically all I'm trying to find out is if there is some Hotfix or patch that could have caused this, as all my queries using the first mentioned formats have been working for months. Also this is not a setting that was changed by someone in the company as this is occurring on all SQL 2005/2008 servers

  • MSAccess Change Date Value Before Validation

    In a grid I have a date/time field where I would like the user to be able to type in short-hand formats for dates and times. For example, if they type in "435p" and then focus off of the cell they get the message "The value you entered isn't valid for this field.". Instead, I want to trap a pre-validationevent and change it to "4:35pm" for them. What event can I use? I've tried: LostFocus & BeforeUpdate: too late (validation fires before event) Dirty & OnChange: too early (they haven't left the cell yet) Or is there a way to turn off the native validation rule that is checking for date formats?

  • How can I generate an RFC1123 Date string, from C code (Win32)

    RFC1123 defines a number of things, among them, the format of Dates to be used in internet protocols. HTTP (RFC2616) specifies that date formats must be generated in conformance with RFC1123. It looks like this: Date: Wed, 28 Apr 2010 02:31:05 GMT How can I generate an RFC1123 time string from C code, running on Windows? I don't have the use of C# and DateTime.ToString(). I know I could write the code myself, to emit timezones and day abbreviations, but I'm hoping this already exists in the Windows API. Thanks.

    I want a Date Time Picker control WITHOUT a default value. Doesn't seem to be possible anymore :-( To reproduce, create a blank XPage and place a Date Time Picker control. Open the XPage in the browser and you will see that it defaults to today. I didn't found any way to set the default to an empty value. I tried setting all properties/data/default to 0, null, empty string and so on - no luck. I tried the data-dojo-probs attribute with value:'', this sets the default to 1970-1-1, but not to blank. Any ideas?

How would I go about doing this if it's even possible? Raw sql queries are good answers too because they're pretty easy to turn into DQL.

    Hi there, I am displaying some event data based on the todays event and a list of events in a week. Currently I am displaying all the events in form of list from the file, As the file contains out dated events as well but I want to display on the basis of today's date events and a week events then week after. In short I want to restrict the list on the basis of this and extract information. I know there is a class java.util containing Date class, but need some quick idea and help how can I do this?   • ASP: using existing Crystal Report with date parameter

    I have an existing Crystal Report done in Crystal Reports version 9. I need to display it via an ASP website created in Visual Studio 2008. I have put the Crystal data source and viewer controls on the design page and configured the controls to use the crystal report but cannot seem to figure out how to pass a date to the report which uses it as an input parameter for a SQL Server 2005 stored procedure. I have tried putting a calendar control on the design page but don't know how to use it to pass the date parameter. Thanks in advance for any help. Eric

"2002-11-28T14:00:00Z" I want to just display the time portion. For which I would have to apply filter date: 'hh:mm a' I tried ng-model="labor.start_time | date: 'hh:mm a'" Please let me know how i can show only time portion in input box showin time only. I cant use span tag as the time a user can change so have to show in input tag. Thanks

  • Datepicker (1.8rc3) not transferring date in IE6

    Using jquery-1.4.2 and jquery-UI 1.8rc3, I instantiated a datepicker on a text input with showOn: 'focus'. The datepicker appears correctly. However when I click on a date, the datepicker doesn't disappear and the dateStr doesn't get transferred to the text input. I tried adding an onClose: handler that calls alert(dateStr). The event fires but no dateStr has been set. Everything works fine in Firefox. I have Microsoft Script Debugger installed but no script errors were detected. I did report this as a potential problem at the jQuery UI forums but my message has been sitting there awaiting moderation for hours and I figured someone here might have a suggestion. $().ready(function() { $(".date").datepicker({ showOn: 'focus', onClose: function(dateText) { alert(dateText); } }); });

  • Moving the Oracle User Experience Forward with the New Release 7 Simplified UI for Oracle Sales Cloud

This significant release allowed the Oracle Applications User Experience (UX) team to finally talk freely about Simplified UI, a user experience project in the works since Oracle OpenWorld 2012. Simplified UI represents the direction that the Oracle user experience – for all of its enterprise applications – is heading. Oracle’s Apps UX team began by building a Simplified UI for sales representatives. You can find that today in Release 7, and it was demoed extensively during OpenWorld 2013 in San Francisco. This screenshot shows how Opportunities appear in the new Simplified UI for Oracle Sales Cloud, a user interface built for sales reps.Analyst Rebecca Wettemann, vice president of Nucleus Research, saw Simplified UI at Oracle Openworld 2013 and talked about it with CRM Buyer in “Oracle Revs Its Cloud Engines for a Better Customer Experience.” Wettemann said there are distinct themes to the latest release: "One is usability. Oracle Sales Cloud, for example, is designed to have zero training for onboarding sales reps, which it does," she explained. "It is quite impressive, actually -- the intuitive nature of the application and the design work they have done with this goal in mind."The software uses as few buttons and fields as possible, she pointed out. "The sales rep doesn't have to ask, 'what is the next step?' because she can see what it is."In fact, there are three themes driving the usability that Wettemann noted. These three themes embody the strategy for Oracle’s cloud applications user experiences.  Simplified UI for Oracle Sales CloudIn developing a Simplified UI for Oracle Sales Cloud, Oracle’s UX team concentrated on the tasks that sales reps need to do most frequently, and are most important. “Knowing that the majority of their work lives are spent on the road and on the go, they need to be able to quickly get in and qualify and convert their leads, monitor and progress their opportunities, update their customer and contact information, and manage their schedule,” Jeremy Ashley, Vice President of the Applications UX team, said.Ashley said the Apps UX team has a good reason for creating a Simplified UI that focuses on self-service. “Sales people spend the day selling stuff,” he said. “The only reason they use software is because the company wants to track what they’re doing.” Traditional systems of tracking that information include filling in a spreadsheet of leads or sales. Oracle wants to automate this process for the salesperson, and enable that person to keep everyone who needs to know up-to-date easily and quickly. Simplified UI addresses that problem by providing light-touch input.  “It has to be useful to the salesperson,” Ashley said about the Sales Cloud user experience. Simplified UI can tell sales reps about key opportunities, or provide information about a contact in just a click or two. Customer information is accessible quickly and easily with Simplified UI for the Oracle Sales Cloud.Simplified UI for Sales Cloud can also be extended easily, Ashley said. Users usually just need to add various business fields or create and modify analytical reports. The way that Simplified UI is constructed allows extensibility to happen by hiding or showing a few necessary fields. The Settings user interface, starting in release 7, allows for the simple configuration of the most important visual elements. “With Sales cloud, we identified a need to make the application useful and very simple,” Ashley said.
