Creating an MJPEG Viewer Iphone

Hey all, Im trying to make a MJPEG viewer in Objective C but I'm having a bunch of issues with it. First off, Im using AsyncSocket(http://code.google.com/p/cocoaasyncsocket/) which lets me connect to the host. What I think its doing is just loading the first chunk of data, then disconnecting. Am I doing this totally wrong or is there light at the end of this tunnel? Thanks!

MVC 2.0 - JqGrid Sorting with Mulitple Tables

I am in the process of implementing the jqGrid and would like to be able to use the sorting functionality. I have run into some issues with sorting columns that are related to the base table. Is there any way to archive a Mercurial repository to a remote directory over SSH? For example, it would be nice if one could do the following: hg archive ssh://[email protected]/path/to/archive However, that does not appear to work. It instead creates a directory called ssh: in the current directory. I made the following quick-and-dirty script that emulates the desired behavior by creating a temporary ZIP archive, copying it over SSH, and unzipping the destination directory. I have a WPF application implemented using the MVVM framework that uses an ActiveX control and I need to keep the WPF and ActiveX UI synchronised. So far I can update the ActiveX UI when I change the WPF UI using the code at the bottom of the question that I got from the article Hosting an ActiveX Control in WPF and this question. But I cannot update the WPF UI when I make a change in the ActiveX UI. I suspect that I need to fire the PropertyChanged event from my ActiveX control but I have no idea how to do this or if it is even possible. The ActiveX controls I have written are in VB6 and MFC as I am just prototying at this time for the eventual integration of VB6 ActiveX controls in a WPF contaner application. PHP convert external relative path to absolute path

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to convert an "external relative path" to an absolute one: I'd really like a function that will do the following: $path = "/search?q=query"; $host = "http://google.com"; $abspath = reltoabs($host, $path); And have $abspath equal to "http://google.com/search?q=query" The problem is that it is not guaranteed to be in that format, and it could already be absolute, or be pointing to a different host entirely, and I'm not quite sure how to approach this. How to disable auto-generated WCF configuration

Every time my program runs vs adds the default configuration to my app.config file. At that run it works fine, but at the next run it actually tries to read the config. The problem is that the default configuration has errors, it adds the attribute "Address", but attritbutes are not allowed to have capitals so it throws an exception. This means I have to remove the bad section every run! I've tried to configure the .config but it gives errors. Need help configurating my Tomcat server without any WAR files

I just reinstalled my entire server, and now I can't seem to get my JSP-based website to work on Tomcat anymore. I use the same server.xml file, which worked perfectly before the reinstallation, but no longer. I made a file index.php with content like this: "<?php a();".Normally, I will get message like this: "Call to undefined function a()" but when I called this script on my configuration I got nothing. Using MEF with exporting project that uses resources (xml) contained in the xap.

I'm doing a proof of concept app in SL4 using MEF and as part of the app I am importing another xap from an existing Silverlight Project and displaying it in my host project. The problem is that the existing app uses some .xml files (as content) and it uses linq2xml to load these files which are (assumed to be) bundled in the xap. When I compose the application the initalization fails because the host app doesn't contain the xml files. If I copy these xml files into the host project and run it the composition works fine. However, I need to keep the xml files in the original project. Is there a way that I can download a xap and look at it's contents for xml files and then load them into the host xap at runtime so that after the compostion takes place the xml resources that are required can be found? Or should I work out some kind of contract with an import/export to pass the xml files to the host xap? As the people developing the imported xaps (should the project go ahead) are from a different company, I would like to keep changes to the way they develop their apps to a minimum.

Converting from SQL Server 2000 to 2005 for ASP.NET web App

Hi there, I'm moving my ASP.NET website to a new provider. Only problem is, old host support my SQL Server 2000 db. New host only supports SQL Server 2005. How should I go about the conversion ? Can I simply produce a backup of the 2000 (.bak) file at the old host, and restore that file into SQL Server 2005 at the new host ? Or is there more to it ?? Note that I don't own a copy of SQL Server 2005 at home... and I'm trying to avoid having to do so. Thanks, Bazza

Need help configurating my Tomcat server

I just reinstalled my entire server, and now I can't seem to get my JSP-based website to work on Tomcat anymore. I use the same server.xml file, which worked perfectly before the reinstallation, but no longer. CORBA Naming Service returns incorrect location of a registered object

Hi experts, I have a simple setup with several objects registered at orbd. Remote client initializes connection to the ORB and tries to resolve a reference to the Naming Serice (IDL:omg.org/CosNaming/NamingContextExt:1.0). So far it's all fine - ORB returns giop.iiop.host/giop.iiop.port pair. When reference to the Naming Service is resolved, client tries to resolve_str() one of the registered objects. This time, Naming Service returns completely different pair giop.iiop.host/giop.iiop.port for the object (not the host/port of a Naming Service) - I don't know anything about them. When client tries to call a method on a resolved object, it fails, as the host/port pair is not configured in the firewall. Could you please explain, why it's happening? Thanks in advance!

How to setup custom DNS with Azure Websites Preview?

I created a new Azure Website, using Umbraco as the CMS. I got a page up and going, and I already have a .co.nz domain with www.domains4less.com. There's a whole lot of stuff on the internet about pointing URLs to Azure, but that seems to be more of a redirection service than anything (i.e. my URLs still use azurewebsites.net once I land on my site). MIDI on Android: Java and/or AIR libraries

I've been contemplating (re)building an app on iPad for some time, where I would use objective-C and DSMI to send MIDI signals to a host computer. This is not bad (I mean, except for actually writing the app). Now I'm contemplating perhaps developing the app for Android tablets (TBA). In Java, what options are available for MIDI message communication? I'm quite familiar with javax.sound.midi, but then I would need a virtual MIDI port to send messages to the host. On the other hand, if the app were done in Adobe AIR, what options would I have available for communicating with MIDI? Obviously another option is to send/receive messages over a TCP/IP socket to a Java host, and talk that way, but it sounds a tad cumbersome... or perhaps not? DSMI does use a host program, after all.

Mono WCF NetTcp service takes only one client at a time

While trying to build a client-server WCF application in Mono we ran into some issues. Reducing it to just a bare example we found that the service only accepts one client at a time. If another client attempts to connect, it hangs until the first one disconnects. Simply changing to BasicHttpBinding fixes it but we need NetTcpBinding for duplex communication. Also the problem does not appear if compiled under MS .NET. EDIT: I doubt (and hope not) that Mono doesn't support what I'm trying to do. Mono code usually throws NotImplementedExceptions in such cases as far as I noticed.
