• .NETCF Component that allows entering a signature

  I need a component that will allow me to enter a signature on a Windows Mobile 5 device. I need to integrate it into my .NETCF program. I would prefer it be free (getting budget approval takes so long). (I have seen the "for pay" one by Resco.) I would need to end up storing the signature in a SQL Server database (it has to be able to serialize). If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.

• Become UIScrollViewDelegate delegate for UITableView

  I have a UITableView instance variable. I want to be able to register my view controller to be the UIScrollViewDelegate for my UITableView controller. I have already tried tableView.delegate = self; But when scrolling, my methods - (void)scrollViewDidEndDecelerating:(UIScrollView *)scrollView - (void)scrollViewDidEndDragging:(UIScrollView *)scrollView willDecelerate:(BOOL)decelerate don't get called. Any suggestions?

  I need to implement a view where I need the user to answer several questions using YES or NO. I thought of using a UISwitch but as far as I see it does not allows replacing the ON/OFF messages it shows with YES/NO. Am I wrong? I thought of implementing a segmented control with 2 buttons but this is like using a cannon to kill a fly... Any suggestions on how to do that? thanks

• is there a vba query string length limit and a way to overcome this issue?

  I am trying to combine multiple audit tables, and then filter the results into an excel sheet. The Union All and parameters make the query in excess of 1200 characters. It appears the string is truncated when running this. What recommendations can anyone make. I have no control over the database structure and am only reading foxpro free tables.   I have some data in this form: @"Managers Alice, Bob, Charlie Supervisors Don, Edward, Francis" I need a flat output like this: @"Managers Alice Managers Bob Managers Charlie Supervisors Don Supervisors Edward Supervisors Francis" The actual "job title" above could be any single word, there's no discrete list to work from. Replacing the ,  with \r\n is easy enough, as is the first replacement: Replace (^|\r\n)(\S+\s)([^,\r\n]*),\s With $1$2$3\r\n$2 But capturing the other names and applying the same prefix is what is eluding me today. Any suggestions?

  I have this list: names = ['john','Jonh','james','James','Jardel'] I want loop over the list and handle consecutive names with a case insensitive match in the same iteration. So in the first iteration I would do something with'john' and 'John' and I want the next iteration to start at 'james'. I can't think of a way to do this using Python's for loop, any suggestions?

  Hi, I'd like to create a pdf/ps/eps that contains only one single formula. I thought the easiest way would be to use latex. Unfortunately, I found no option to specify, that the paper-size should automatically be set to fit the contents. I found that dvipng has a "-T tight" option, that actually does the trick, but... I want it in vector-graphics format. Any suggestions? Thanks.
