    I am currently involved with an Application where I need to design the UI part of the Application and current I am in the process of implementation of UI which would be displayed to end user while his or her request is being processed behind the scenes.   • Plot points instead of lines? JFreeChart PolarChart

    Currently, the PolarChart joins all the coordinates with lines creating a polygon. I just want it to plot each point with a dot and NOT join them together. Is this possible? I have tried using translateValueThetaRadiusToJava2D() and Graphics2D to draw circles but it's very clunky and contrived. Any suggestions welcome!

  • Google maps api - not found address suggestion

    Usually when you try to add a marker to an unknown/ambiguous address you just get an error from the api. It would be much nicer if i could display a list of suggestions related to the address that was not found. The Google maps site has this feature but i do not know how to do with the api. Any help would be appreciated.

    I am trying to combine multiple audit tables, and then filter the results into an excel sheet. The Union All and parameters make the query in excess of 1200 characters. It appears the string is truncated when running this. What recommendations can anyone make. I have no control over the database structure and am only reading foxpro free tables.     I need to write an algorithm(I cannot use any 3rd party library, because this is an assignment) to divide(integer division, floating parts are not important) very large numbers like 100 - 1000 digits. I found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourier_division algorithm but I don't know if it's the right way to go. Do you have any suggestions?

I am just learning about LINQ to XML in all its glory and frailty, trying to hack it to do what I want to do: Given an XML file like this - <list> <!-- random data, keys, values, etc.--> <key>FIRST_WANTED_KEY</key> <value>FIRST_WANTED_VALUE</value> <key>SECOND_WANTED_KEY</key> <value>SECOND_WANTED_VALUE</value> <!-- wanted because it's first --> <key>SECOND_WANTED_KEY</key> <value>UNWANTED_VALUE</value> <!-- not wanted because it's second --> <!-- nonexistent <key>THIRD_WANTED_KEY</key> --> <!-- nonexistent <value>THIRD_WANTED_VALUE</value> --> <!-- more stuff--> </list> I want to extract the values of a set of known "wanted keys" in a robust fashion, i.e. if SECOND_WANTED_KEY appears twice, I only want SECOND_WANTED_VALUE, not UNWANTED_VALUE. Additionally, THIRD_WANTED_KEY may or may not appear, so the query should be able to handle that as well. I can assume that FIRST_WANTED_KEY will appear before other keys, but can't assume anything about the order of the other keys - if a key appears twice, its values aren't important, I only want the first one. An anonymous data type consisting of strings is fine. My attempt has centered around something along these lines: var z = from y in x.Descendants() where y.Value == "FIRST_WANTED_KEY" select new { first_wanted_value = ((XElement)y.NextNode).Value, //... } My question is what should that ... be? I've tried, for instance, (ugly, I know) second_wanted_value = ((XElement)y.ElementsAfterSelf() .Where(w => w.Value=="SECOND_WANTED_KEY") .FirstOrDefault().NextNode).Value which should hopefully allow the key to be anywhere, or non-existent, but that hasn't worked out, since .NextNode on a null XElement doesn't seem to work. I've also tried to add in a .Select(t => { if (t==null) return new XElement("SECOND_WANTED_KEY",""); else return t; }) clause in after the where, but that hasn't worked either. I'm open to suggestions, (constructive) criticism, links, references, or suggestions of phrases to Google for, etc. I've done a fair share of Googling and checking around S.O., so any help would be appreciated.     I've been trying to configure xdebug to work along with netbeans, my current configuration is [xdebug] zend_extension="C:\binaries\php\ext\php_xdebug-2.1.0RC1-5.3-vc6.dll" xdebug.remote_enable=on xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_host=127.0.0.1 (also tried localhost) xdebug.remote_port=9000 xdebug.idekey="netbeans-xdebug" I tried the test provided by a netbeans blog explaining how to test if the configuration works when binding it just outputs "unable to bind" Any suggestions?

Do I have to download the Facebook Developer Toolkit (which I only want to use as a last resort), or is there an easier way (maybe through javascript)?   • Quicksilver quit launching Xcode

    Hi everyone, I've been launching Xcode from Quicksilver quite happily for weeks. Suddenly late yesterday, without changing either Xcode or Quicksilver, it started appearing like this: Screenshot There's no "open" option in the action list anymore. I rebooted with no joy. All my other applications launch. Xcode still launches from Spotlight. It just seems to be any app under /Developer/Applications. Any suggestions? cheers,Step

  • Gray border when using NSBorderlessWindowMask

    Hello, Whenever I try to create a custom window using NSBorderlessWindowMask and set an NSView (for example an NSImageView) as its contentView, I get a 1px gray border around the NSView and I don't seem to be able to get rid of it. I have followed several approaches including Apple's RoundTransparentWindow sample code as well as several suggestions on StackOverflow. I suspect the gray border is either coming from the window itself or the NSView. Have any of you experienced this problem or do you have a possible solution? Thanks

We have a Text "My very long label goes here" and we have to show it in following format: [...g label goes here] i.e right aligned and text should be trimmed from left (character ellipsis at left side) We have used FlowDirection of TextBlock, ellipsis is correctly shown on the left side, but text is trimmed from the right side. FlowDirection = "LeftToRight:" [My very long lab...] FlowDirection = "RightToLeft:" [...My very long lab] But we need: [...g label goes here] Please provide suggestions on this.

I know we can use Google Site Search (http://www.google.com/sitesearch/ but it has an annual fee.
