  • floating a div with jquery/offset - ignores href hashtag

    - by Kevin Crawley
<script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { var top = $('#rt_outer').offset().top - parseFloat($('#rt_outer').css('marginTop').replace(/auto/, 0)); $(window).scroll(function (event) { // what the y position of the scroll is var y = $(this).scrollTop(); // whether that's below the form if (y >= top) { // if so, ad the fixed class $('#rt_outer').addClass('fixed'); } else { // otherwise remove it $('#rt_outer').removeClass('fixed'); } }); }); </script> The problem is fairly straight forward. If I use a header redirect to a new location in the page (say half way down, I jump to #halfway after processing a php script using header("somepage.php#halfway") the div container which is handled by this script won't jump down until the page is scrolled in either direction. I know there is a solution to this, I just don't know what.

  • wxPython ,Change the background colour of a StyledTextCtrl

    - by user1357159
I tried (but nothing happens) self.txt.SetBackgroundColour ((255,0,0)) As said in the title I'm trying to change the background colour StyledTextCtrl. Does anyone know a method that could be used? I've checked the API docs but I couldn't seem to find one, http://wxpython.org/docs/api/wx.stc.StyledTextCtrl-class.html (by background colour, I mean the whole writing area, of course) Does anyone know a way I could do this? EDIT: The background doesn't change in the following code import wx import wx.stc app = wx.App(redirect=True) top = wx.Frame(None, title="StyledTXTCtrl", size=(300,200)) txt=wx.stc.StyledTextCtrl(top) txt.SetBackgroundColour((255,255,0)) txt.Refresh() top.Show() app.MainLoop()

  • Drag and drop objects onto a DIV.. relative vs absolute position and size of target DIV

    - by Scott
Hi, I have a question about drag and drop and hoping one of you already solved it. I have an online web app where I can drag and drop annotations (arrows, stars) on top of an image that sits on a DIV. Here's some things to know. 1) The image can be any size (sometimes big sometimes small) 2) The DIV of wrapper can be left aligned or centered 3) The DIV of wrapper can be fixed or auto So is there any possible solution to make it so positions of annotations are always relative to the top left corner of the image? So I am using jQuery. How would I get an annotation's position always relative to the top left corner of an image once I drop object? Thanks!

  • Background-image and background in 1 tag

    - by teepusink
Hi, Is it possible to have both background-image and background gradient color applied together in 1 div tag? (CSS3 and above is ok) I have the below code, the gradient background color does show up, but the background-image doesn't. What am I missing? <div style="background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#595959), to(#2e2e2e));border-bottom:1px solid #636363;height:39px;-moz-border-radius-bottomleft:0px;-webkit-border-bottom-left-radius: 0px;-moz-border-radius-topright:10px;-webkit-border-top-right-radius: 10px;background-image:url('/uploads/image1.jpg') no-repeat;-moz-border-radius-bottomleft:0px;-webkit-border-bottom-left-radius: 0px;-moz-border-radius-topright:10px;-webkit-border-top-right-radius: 10px;-webkit-background-size: 33px 33px"></div> Thanks, Tee

  • jQuery > reset popup window 's x and y relative to icon that launched the window

    - by Scott B
    I have a jQuery jPicker colorpicker that is bound to an input text field and opens onclick of a small picker.gif icon. The problem I'm having is that (1) The colorpicker that opens does not appear to be positioned according to the x/y position of the picker.gif (it opens far away from the click point) and (2) The colorpicker does not seem to be aware of the viewport's scroll position (the top of the colorpicker is partially hidden at the top of the window). I'd like to use jQuery to reposition the colorpalette (1) Based on the x/y position of the input that its bound to and (2) reset it's top position based on the viewport's visible Y position. Here is the script where I am creating a new jPicker and binding it to my input text fields for header and sidebar... $('#myHeaderColor').jPicker ( {}, function(color) { $(this).val(color.get_Hex()); }, function(color) { $(this).val(color.get_Hex()); } ); $('#mySidebarColor').jPicker ( {}, function(color) { $(this).val(color.get_Hex()); }, function(color) { $(this).val(color.get_Hex()); } );

  • Padding/Margin/Border On Element Does Not Change DIV Height

    - by ryandlf
Here is a very simply jsFiddle to demonstrate my problem: http://jsfiddle.net/ryandlf/mSmUv/4/ When an element has a top padding or margin and it sits on the first line within a div, the div does not respect that padding or margin and push the element down. In most cases this isn't an issue, but for example, if I have a button that has a top border and padding the top of the border will be cut off because the div is not taking into consideration the padding value. Is there a workaround for this other than just blindly setting margins or padding on every container div element and hoping I have added enough to account for any internal element that might be affected?

  • Query to update rowNum

    - by BrokeMyLegBiking
    Can anyone help me write this query more efficiently? I have a table that captures TCP traffic, and I'd like to update a column called RowNumForFlow which is simly the sequential number of the IP packet in that flow. The code below works fine, but it is slow. declare @FlowID int declare @LastRowNumInFlow int declare @counter1 int set @counter1 = 0 while (@counter1 < 1) BEGIN set @counter1 = @counter1 + 1 -- 1) select top 1 @FlowID = t.FlowID from Traffic t where t.RowNumInFlow is null if (@FlowID is null) break -- 2) set @LastRowNumInFlow = null select top 1 @LastRowNumInFlow = RowNumInFlow from Traffic where FlowID=@FlowID and RowNumInFlow is not null order by ID desc if @LastRowNumInFlow is null set @LastRowNumInFlow = 1 else set @LastRowNumInFlow = @LastRowNumInFlow + 1 update Traffic set RowNumInFlow = @LastRowNumInFlow where ID = (select top 1 ID from Traffic where flowid = @FlowID and RowNumInFlow is null) END Example table values after query has run: ID FlowID RowNumInFlow 448923 44 1 448924 44 2 448988 44 3 448989 44 4 448990 44 5 448991 44 6 448992 44 7 448993 44 8 448995 44 9 448996 44 10 449065 44 11 449063 45 1 449170 45 2 449171 45 3 449172 45 4 449187 45 5

  • Most efficent way to limit rows returns from union query- TSQL

    - by stephen776
Hey guys...I have a simple stored proc with two queries joined with a union select name as 'result' from product where... union select productNum as 'result' from product where... I want to limit this to the TOP 10 results... if i put TOP 10 in each seperate query I get 20 results total. What is the most efficient way to limit total results to 10? I dont want to do TOP 5 in each because I may end up in a situation where I have something like 7 "names" and 3 "productsNumbers"

  • Is there a way to split the results of a select query into two equal halfs?

    - by Matthias
I'd like to have a query returning two ResultSets each of which holding exactly half of all records matching a certain criteria. I tried using TOP 50 PERCENT in conjunction with an Order By but if the number of records in the table is odd, one record will show up in both resultsets. Example: I've got a simple table with TheID (PK) and TheValue fields (varchar(10)) and 5 records. Skip the where clause for now. SELECT TOP 50 PERCENT * FROM TheTable ORDER BY TheID asc results in the selected id's 1,2,3 SELECT TOP 50 PERCENT * FROM TheTable ORDER BY TheID desc results in the selected id's 3,4,5 3 is a dup. In real life of course the queries are fairly complicated with a ton of where clauses and subqueries.

  • Javascript: parseInt() with trailing characters

    - by chris_l
parseInt("7em", 10); returns 7 in all browsers I tested [*]. But can I rely on this? The reason I ask is, that I want to perform some calculations based on em, like /* elem1.style.top uses em units */ elem2.style.top = parseInt(elem1.style.top, 10) + 1 + "em"; I could do this with regular expressions, but parseInt is easier to use, and probably a bit faster. Or is there another solution (maybe using jQuery)? [*] Tested so far on: IE 6, IE 8, Safari 4, Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.5

  • Adding a UIView to a UITableViewCell via cell.contentView

    - by Robert Eisinger
I have a class called GraphView that extends UIView that basically draws a small little line chart. I need one of these graphs at the top of each section in my UITableView. So I tried by creating a separate cell at the top of one of my sections and then on that cell I did: [cell.contentView addSubview:graphView]; [graphView release]; But when I scroll down, it's like the graph is glitchy and it shows up in random spots along the UITableView. Anyone have ideas or insight? Is there a better way to incorporate another UIView into the top of each section in my UITableView?

  • Layering of CSS with z-index

    - by Matt Hintzke
I have a created a 3 circle venn diagram using pure CSS3 and each circle has a :hover event attached to it. I also have an image of an arrow which is pointing to the center of the venn diagram. I want the arrow to visually appear to be on top of the circles, so I put the z-index higher on the arrow than the circles. The problem now, is that the :hover event does not trigger on half of the venn diagram now because the arrow image is on top, which causes the hover to be on top of the arrow rather than the circle that I want it to be over. So is it possible to make an element have a high z-index visually but not programmatically?

  • Control ( UIButton, UILable) Hides when the Video plays Again on iPhone!

Hi, I have displayed UIButton on top of Playing Movie using this code. NSArray *windows = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] windows]; if ([windows count] 1) { // Locate the movie player window UIWindow *moviePlayerWindow = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] keyWindow]; // Add our overlay view to the movie player's subviews so it is // displayed above it. • Order of execution and style of coding in Python

    - by Jason
Hi guys. I am new to Python so please don't flame me if the question is too basic :) I have read that Python is executed from top - to - bottom. If this is the case, why do programs go like this: def func2(): def func1(): #call func2() def func() #call func1() if __name__ == '__main__': call func() So from what I have seen, the main function goes at last and the other functions are stacked on top of it. Am I wrong in saying this? If no, why isn't the main function or the function definitions written from top to bottom?

  • jQuery UI dialog positioning

    - by Wickethewok
I am trying to use the jQuery dialog UI library in order to position a dialog next to some text when it is hovered over. The jQuery dialog takes a position parameter which is measured from the top left corner of the current viewport (in other words, [0, 0] will always put it in the upper left hand corner of your browser window, regardless of where you are currently scrolled to). However, the only way I know to retrieve the location is of the element relative to the ENTIRE page. The following is what I have currently. position.top is calculated to be something like 1200 or so, which puts the dialog well below the rest of the content on the page. $(".mytext").mouseover(function() { position = $(this).position(); $("#dialog").dialog('option', 'position', [position.top, position.left]); } How can I find the correct position? Thanks!

  • ModX navigation menu with "wayfinder" snippet

So when you click on "Jobs" there should be the subnavigation of "Jobs" at left, like... Construction Jobs Engineering Jobs Retail Jobs ... The first (top) navigation is easy to achieve: [[!Wayfinder? &startId=0 &level=1 ]] How can I realize the second navigation, so that only the documents are listed that are under the parent document?

  • How to specify 2 different positions for Colorbox or Fancybox on the same page?

    - by Eric
    I know this question has been asked before, but I'm having difficulty implementing it. I'm looking for a more specific answer. Here is my html code: <head> <meta charset=utf-8 /> <title>ColorBox Examples</title> <style type="text/css"> body{font:12px/1.2 Verdana, Arial, san-serrif; padding:0 10px;} a:link, a:visited{text-decoration:none; color:#416CE5; border-bottom:1px solid #416CE5;} h2{font-size:13px; margin:15px 0 0 0;} </style> <link media="screen" rel="stylesheet" href="colorbox.css" /> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.4/jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="../colorbox/jquery.colorbox.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ //Examples of how to assign the ColorBox event to elements $(".example7").colorbox({width:"80%", height:"80%", iframe:true}); $(".example7").colorbox({width:"80%", height:"80%", iframe:true}); }); </script> </head> <body> <p><a class='example7' href="http://google.com">Outside Webpage 1 (Iframe)</a></p> <p><a class='example7' href="http://google.com">Outside Webpage 2 (Iframe)</a></p> (Excuse the wrong indentation - I had to mess with the formatting to get the body content to show up.)   • How animate stacking divs in javascript/css?

    - by Teiviere
Say I have 2 divs with the same CSS class that are stacked on top of each other: div { width:100px; height: 100px; background: red; } How do I make it so that when I click a button at the top of the page, a new div is created from off the screen at the bottom and moves upwards stopping where the 2nd div is.. When the button is clicked again, a 4th div moves in from the bottom of the screen and stops where the 3rd div is... etc creating a "stacked" divs effect? I know about position:fixed and adjusting values for top, but I am not sure how to dynamically calculate where to stop the animation to achieve this effect.

  • Help with Collapse and Expand Accordion at same time using JQuery (demo)

    - by Evan
I'm stuck on an Expand/Collapse accordion using JQuery. After the initial headline is clicked and it expands, if you click to another headline it will collapse the former headline completely FIRST then it will expand the headline you clicked. This collapse first then expand second technique is very distracting and what should happen is as the headline is expanding it should collapse the initial headline. What am I missing? • rake migration aborted: could not find table 'roles'

    - by user464180
I just inherited code that I'm attempting to run the migrations for but I keep getting a rake aborted error. I've come across others that have what appears to be similar issues, but most involved Heroku and I'm trying to run this locally (to start.) I've tried troubleshooting using both PostgreSQL and SQLite, and both produce the same issue. The table "roles" referenced is the second migration called, so I'm having a hard time figuring out what is causing it to not get built. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Here's the roles migration: class CreateRoles < ActiveRecord::Migration def change create_table :roles do |t| t.string :name t.timestamps end end end Here is the trace for SQLite: ** Invoke db:migrate (first_time) ** Invoke environment (first_time) ** Execute environment rake aborted! • Could not load type 'Default.DataMatch' in DataMatch.aspx file

    - by salvationishere
    I am developing a C# VS 2008 / SQL Server 2008 website, but now I am getting the above error when I build it. I included the Default.aspx, Default.aspx.cs, DataMatch.aspx, and DataMatch.aspx.cs files below. What do I need to do to fix this? Default.aspx: <%@ Page Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.master" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" Title="Untitled Page" %> ... DataMatch.aspx: <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="DataMatch.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default.DataMatch" %> ...
