  • How to drop null values with a native Oracle XML DB Web Service?

    I am using native Oracle XML DB Web Services (using a PL/SQL function with a web service). I want to drop null values (put nothing in the output (no XML element)). It's working with Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 but not with Oracle 11.2.0.3.0. Just to clarify... I don't want to consume a webservice with PL/SQL, I want to publish my PL/SQL packages/procedures/functions as a web service! Hope someone can help me. Thank you.     I have an unordered list and each li makes up one item in a two column layout: col1 col2 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 I need to have an alternating background colour for each item BUT NOT so each item in one column is the same. So : 1,4,5,8,9,11 will have one colour; and 2,3,6,7,10,12 will have another colour. Can this be achieved with one :nth-child rule? Thanks!

DateFormat fmt; fmt = DateFormat.getDateInstance(DateFormat.DEFAULT) // dd.MM.yyyy for de_DE The problem is that the user insists to enter dates in the form 31.12.11. Unfortunately this is parsed to 31.12.11. (0011-12-31 in ISO format) Instead I want the parsed date to become 31.12.2011 (2011-12-31 in ISO format). Can I modify the date format to somehow parse inputs that way?

In Method #1, I can save the file my using the workbook SaveCopyAs without prompting the user for a location. This saves one file to the C:\Temp directory. Method #2 will save the file in my Users\Documents folder, then prompt the user to select the location and save a second copy. How can I eliminate the first copy from saving in the Users\Documents folder?     I have an events table that has user_id, date ('2013-10-01'), time ('04:15:00'), and status_id; What I am looking to find is a solution similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2665574/find-consecutive-rows-calculate-duration but I need I need two additional components: 1) Take date into consideration, so 10/1/2013 at 11:00 PM - 10/2/2013 at 3:00AM. Feel free to just put in a fake date range (like '2013-10-01' to '2013-10-31') 2) Limit output to only include when there are 4+ consecutive times (each event is 15 minutes and I want it to display minimum blocks of an hour, but would also like to be able to switch this restriction to 1.5 hours or some other duration if possible). SUMMARY - Looking for a query that provides the start and end times for a set of events that have the same user_id, status_id, and are in a continuous series based on date and time. For which I can restrict results based on date range and minimum series duration.
