  • dll woes c# noob

    - by Chin
Hi, I'm a bit of a visual studio noob. I have just restarted a project in which I am using NHibernate. The project worked fine last time I used it but now is giving the following error. System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Iesi.Collections, Version=1.0.0.3, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=aa95f207798dfdb4' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) at NHibernate.Cfg.Configuration.Reset() at NHibernate.Cfg.Configuration..ctor(SettingsFactory settingsFactory) at NHibernate.Cfg.Configuration..ctor() at Luther.Dao.Repositories.Session.NHibernateHelper..cctor() in NHibernateHelper.cs: line 18 I notice the current reference to the iesi dll ia at 1.0.1.0. What is the best way to get this up and running again? Try and find the appropriate version of the dll or sort out the manifest file? Any pointers much appreciated.

  • Problems integrating nServiceBus with StructureMap

    - by SimonB
I'm trying to use StructureMap with nServiceBus. The Project: Uses a GenericHost Endpoint to send command messages Configures nServiceBus using the StructMapBuilder. Uses a simple StructureMap registry config Uses a start up class TestServer supporting IWantToRunAtStartup The TestServer class has ctor dependency on a TestManager class The TestManager class has ctor dependency on IBus ObjectFactory.WhatDoIHave() shows StructureMap knows how to construct the classes. When run I get buildup errors. nServiceBus seems to be overwriting the config? Note that when I add a IBus ctor depenendency to my event handlers without any other config all appears fine. Error: Exception when starting endpoint, error has been logged. • design business class for unit test

    - by Mauro Destro
I'm trying to clean my code to make it unit-testable. I know that unit tests must be created while coding but... I have to do it now, with code completed. My business class is full of methods with a similar implementation like: var rep=new NHrepository<ModelClass1>(Session); rep.Where(x=>x.Field1==1).ToList(); first error (from my point of view) is that I don't have to use "new" but instead use DI and add in the ctor parameters a INHrepository modelClass1Repository. If in my class I have two or more repository of different model class? Each must be in the ctor? Or probably business class is not build with SeparationOfConcern principle?

  • Odd "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" involving xWinForms

    - by Kyle
Hey, I've been trying to get the xWinForms 3.0 library (a library with forms support in xna) working with my C# XNA Game project but I keep getting the same problem. I add the reference to my project, put in the using statement, declare a formCollection variable and then I try to initialize it. whenever I run the project I get stopped on this line: formCollection = new FormCollection(this.Window, Services, ref graphics); it gives me the error: " System.NullReferenceException was unhandled Message="Object reference not set to an instance of an object." • Lazy loading of ESB in a jruby rails app

    - by brad
I have a jruby/rails app using: jruby 1.4.0 Rails 2.3.5 ActiveMQ 5.3.0 Mule ESB 2.2.1 Currently in our environment.rb file we start up Mule in the initializer. This becomes a big pain when we go to do normal rake tasks that don't require JMS/Mule such as db:migrate as it takes a long time to startup/shutdown Mule everytime. The code is similar to this: APP_CONTEXT = Java::our.company.package.service_clients.Initializer.getAppContext(MULE_CONFIG_PATH) And we use APP_CONTEXT to fetch the bean to connect to the appropriate service. I'm trying to figure out some mechanism by which APP_CONTEXT could be lazily instantiated (not in initialize) to avoid all of the pains of having to startup Mule on initialize. Currently we have a few ruby client classes that are instantiated as a before_filter in application_controller such as @data_service = DataService.new(APP_CONTEXT) that initialize the proper java client for each request for use in our controllers. I'm open to all suggestions. I'm having a hard time trying to find the right place to put this lazy instantiation.

  • How do I load SciLexer.dll in Visual Studio 2008 Designer, on Windows 7 64-bit?

    - by Filini
We develop a WinForm application using Scintilla.NET (1.7) component, which uses SciLexer.dll (unamnaged). At run-time, we distribute both 32bit and 64bit SciLexer.dll, and we load the correct one when the application starts (everything works fine). On our new development environments (Windows 7 64-bit), all our solutions build and run just fine, but the WinForm visual designer does not load our forms/controls which use Scintilla.NET, because it cannot load the correct SciLexer.dll: Window class name is not valid. at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.WindowClass.RegisterClass() at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.WindowClass.Create(String className, Int32 classStyle) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.CreateHandle(CreateParams cp) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateHandle() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.get_Handle() at Scintilla.ScintillaControl.SendMessageDirect(UInt32 msg, IntPtr wParam, IntPtr lParam) at Scintilla.ScintillaControl.SendMessageDirect(UInt32 msg) at Scintilla.ScintillaControl.get_CodePage() at Scintilla.ScintillaControl..ctor(String sciLexerDllName) at Scintilla.ScintillaControl..ctor() Where does Visual Studio 2008 look for unmanaged libraries? I tried putting the 64-bit SciLexer.dll in SysWOW64, in the folder where ScintillaNET.dll is referenced, adding a folder in PATH system variable, adding a folder reference in the project, but I keep getting this error. Any help is appreciated.

  • Send a empty Message or Notification with MVVM toolkit light

    - by msfanboy

ViewModel1: private int _selectedWeeklyRotation; public int SelectedWeeklyRotation { get { return _selectedWeeklyRotation; } set { if(_selectedWeeklyRotation == value) return; _selectedWeeklyRotation = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("SelectedWeeklyRotation"); if(value > 1) Messenger.Default.Send(); } } ViewModel2: Ctor: Messenger.Default.Register(this, CreateAnotherTimeTable); private void CreateAnotherTimeTable() { } I just need to send a Notification to another ViewModel, no sending of data at all. Is that possible with mvvm light toolkit library?

  • How do I change JAVASCRIPT_DEFAULT_SOURCES for my application?

    - by Adam Lassek
When you call javascript_include_tag :defaults you usually get: prototype.js, effects.js, dragdrop.js, and controls.js. These are stored in a constant in ActionView::Helpers::AssetTagHelper called 'JAVASCRIPT_DEFAULT_SOURCES`. My application uses jQuery, so I want to replace the Prototype references with something more useful. I added an initializer with these lines, based on the source code from jRails: ActionView::Helpers::AssetTagHelper::JAVASCRIPT_DEFAULT_SOURCES = %w{ jquery-1.4.min jquery-ui jquery.cookie } ActionView::Helpers::AssetTagHelper::reset_javascript_include_default But when I do this, I get: warning: already initialized constant JAVASCRIPT_DEFAULT_SOURCES during startup. What's the correct way of changing this value? In the source code it checks for the constant before setting it, but apparently that happens before it runs the initializer scripts. The Rails 3.0 release will provide much greater flexibility with choice of JS libraries, so I guess this is a problem with an expiration date.

  • With NHibernate, how can I create an INHibernateProxy?

    - by Eric
After lots of reading about serialization, I've decided to try to create DTOs. After more reading, I decided to use AutoMapper. What I would like to do is transform the parent (easy enough) and transform the entity properties if they've been initialized, which I've done with ValueResolvers like below (I may try to make it generic once I get it fully working). This part works. public class OrderItemResolver : ValueResolver<Order, OrderItem> { protected override OrderItem ResolveCore(Order source) { // could also use NHibernateUtil.IsInitialized(source.OrderItem) if (source.OrderItem is NHibernate.Proxy.INHibernateProxy) return null; else return source.OrderItem; } } } When I transform the DTO back to an entity, for the entities that weren't initialized, I want to create a proxy so that if the entity wants to access it, it can. However, I can't figure out how to create a proxy. I'm using Castle if that's relevant. I've tried a bunch of things with no luck. The below code is a mess, mainly because I've been trying things at random without knowing what I should be doing. Anybody have any suggestions? public class OrderItemDTOResolver : ValueResolver<OrderDTO, OrderItem> { protected override OrderItem ResolveCore(OrderDTO source) { if (source.OrderItem == null) { //OrderItem OrderItem = new ProxyGenerator().CreateClassProxy<OrderItem>(); // Castle.Core.Interceptor. //OrderItem OrderItem = new ProxyGenerator().CreateClassProxy<OrderItem>(); //OrderItem.Id = source.OrderItemId; //OrderItem OrderItem = new OrderItem(); //var proxy = new OrderItem() as INHibernateProxy; //var proxy = OrderItem as INHibernateProxy; //return (OrderItem)proxy.HibernateLazyInitializer //ILazyInitializer proxy = new LazyInitializer("OrderItem", OrderItem, source.OrderItemId, null, null, null, null); //return (OrderItem)proxy; //return (OrderItem)proxy.HibernateLazyInitializer.GetImplementation(); //return OrderItem; IProxyTargetAccessor proxy = new Castle.Core.Interceptor. var initializer = new LazyInitializer("OrderItem", typeof(OrderItem), source.OrderItemId, null, null, null, null); //var proxyFactory = new SerializableProxyFactory{Interfaces = Interfaces, TargetSource = initializer, ProxyTargetType = IsClassProxy}; //proxyFactory.AddAdvice(initializer); //object proxyInstance = proxyFactory.GetProxy(); //return (INHibernateProxy) proxyInstance; return null; //OrderItem.Id = source.OrderItemId; //return OrderItem; } else return OrderItemDTO.Unmap(source.OrderItem); } } Thanks, Eric

  • Why are my ActiveRecord class instance variables disappearing after the first request in development

    - by Paul C
I have a class instance variable on one of my AR classes. I set its value at boot with an initializer and, after that, never touch it again except to read from it. In development mode, this value disappears after the first request to the web server. However, when running tests, using the console or running the production server this does not happen. # The AR class class Group < ActiveRecord::Base class << self attr_accessor :path end end # The initializer Group.path = File.join(RAILS_ROOT, "public", "etc") # First request in a view %p= Group.path #=> "/home/rails/app/public/etc" # Second request in a view %p= Group.path #=> nil Is there something about development mode that nukes instance variables from classes with each request? If so, is there a way to disable this for specific variables or classes?

  • Java loading user-specified classes at runtime

    - by user349043
I'm working on robot simulation in Java (a Swing application). I have an abstract class "Robot" from which different types of Robots are derived, e.g. public class StupidRobot extends Robot { int m_stupidness; int m_insanityLevel; ... } public class AngryRobot extends Robot { float m_aggression; ... } As you can see, each Robot subclass has a different set of parameters. What I would like to do is control the simulation setup in the initial UI. Choose the number and type of Robots, give it a name, fill in the parameters etc. This is one of those times where being such a dinosaur programmer, and new to Java, I wonder if there is some higher level stuff/thinking that could help me here. So here is what I've got: (1) User Interface Scrolling list of Robot types on the left. "Add " and "<< Remove" buttons in the middle. Default-named scrolling list of Robots on the right. "Set Parameters" button underneath. (So if you wanted an AngryRobot, you'd select AngryRobot on the left list, click "Add" and "AngryRobot1" would show up on the right.) When selecting a Robot on the right, click "Set Parameters..." button which would call yet another model dialog where you'd fill in the parameters. Different dialog called for each Robot type. (2) Data structures an implementation As an end-product I think a HashMap would be most convenient. The keys would be Robot types and the accompanying object would be all of the parameters. The initializer could just retrieve each item one and a time and instantiate. Here's what the data structures would look like: enum ROBOT_TYPE {STUPID, ANGRY, etc} public class RobotInitializer { public ROBOT_TYPE m_type; public string m_name; public int[] m_int_params; public float[] m_float_params; etc. The initializer's constructor would create the appropriate length parameter arrays based on the type: public RobotInitializer(ROBOT_TYPE type, int[] int_array, float[] float_array, etc){ switch (type){ case STUPID: m_int_params = new int[STUPID_INT_PARAM_LENGTH]; System.arraycopy(int_array,0,m_int_params,0,STUPID_INT_PARAM_LENGTH); etc. Once all the RobotInitializers are instantiated, they are added to the HashMap. Iterating through the HashMap, the simulation initializer takes items from the Hashmap and instantiates the appropriate Robots. Is this reasonable? If not, how can it be improved? Thanks

  • Is is possible to intercept a constructor on a class you do not own?

    - by code poet
Referring to my possible answer to this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2907535/how-would-you-audit-asp-net-membership-tables-while-recording-what-user-made-the/2911616#2911616 Is it possible to intercept a call, coming from code you do not own, to a ctor on a sealed internal class that you do not own with the intention of manipulating the object before returning? Concrete example: SqlMembershipProvider, for all of it's data access, instantiates a connection helper class, System.Web.DataAccess.SqlConnectionHolder. The desired result is to intercept this instantiation and perform an operation on the public connection that is opened in the ctor of System.Web.DataAccess.SqlConnectionHolder before letting execution continue. Is this possible. If so, an brief example would be appreciated.

I want to put several initializing functions in a single coffeescript file, then call one of them from an on-page <script> tag (so that each page calls a different initializer). This can't be if the initializing functions are encapsulated. Coffeescript initializer functions: initializerA = -> console.log 'foo' initializerB = -> console.log 'bar' On-page code: <script>$(document).ready(initializerA)</script> Sys: coffee-rails 3.2.1, Rails 3.2.3, Ruby 1.9.3

  • Inheritance of jQuery's prototype partially fails

    - by user1065745
    I want to use Coffeescript to create an UIObject class. This class should inherit from jQuery, so that instances of UIObject can be used as if they where created with jQuery. class UIObject isObject: (val) -> typeof val is "object" constructor: (tag, attributes) -> @merge jQuery(tag, attributes), this @UIObjectProperties = {} merge: (source, destination) -> for key of source if destination[key] is undefined destination[key] = source[key] else if @isObject(source[key]) @merge(source[key], destination[key]) return It partially works. Consider the Foobar class below: class Foobar extends UIObject constructor: -> super("<h1/>", html: "Foobar") $("body").append(new Foobar) works fine. BUT: (new Foobar).appendTo("body") places the tag, but also raises RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded. Was it just a bad idea to inherit from jQuery? Or is there a solurion? For those who don't know CoffeeScript, the JavaScript source is: var Foobar, UIObject; var __hasProp = Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty, __extends = function(child, parent) { for (var key in parent) { if (__hasProp.call(parent, key)) child[key] = parent[key]; } function ctor() { this.constructor = child; } ctor.prototype = parent.prototype; child.prototype = new ctor; child.__super__ = parent.prototype; return child; }; UIObject = (function () { UIObject.prototype.isObject = function (val) { return typeof val === "object"; }; function UIObject(tag, attributes) { this.merge(jQuery(tag, attributes), this); this.UIObjectProperties = {}; } UIObject.prototype.merge = function (source, destination) { var key; for (key in source) { if (destination[key] === void 0) { destination[key] = source[key]; } else if (this.isObject(source[key])) { this.merge(source[key], destination[key]); } } }; return UIObject; })(); Foobar = (function () { __extends(Foobar, UIObject); function Foobar() { Foobar.__super__.constructor.call(this, "<h1/>", { html: "Foobar" }); } return Foobar; })();

  • C++ Add this pointer to a container by calling it in base class constructor

    - by vivekeviv
class Base { public: Base (int a, int b); private: int a,b; }; class Derived1 { public: Derived1():base(1,2){} }; similarly Derived2, Derived 3 which doesnt contain any data members on its own Now i need to contain these derived objects in a singleton, so i was thinking to call this in base constructor like Base::Base(int a, int b) { CBaseMgr::GetInstance()->AddtoVector(this); } so now if i construct Derived d1, d2, d3 etc. will the Singleton's container contain all derived objects? My doubt is can i do this adding of objects to container in base ctor or should i do in derived ctor.?

  • suppose there is a class which contains 4 data fields.i have to read these value from xml file and s

    - by SunilRai86
    suppose there is a class which contains 4 fields.i have to read these value from xml file and set that value to fields the xml file is like that <Root> <Application > <AppName>somevalue</AppName> <IdMark>somevalue</IdMark> <ClassName>ABC</ClassName> <ExecName>XYZ</ExecName> </Application> <Application> <AppName>somevalue</AppName> <IdMark>somevalue</IdMark> <ClassName>abc</ClassName> <ExecName>xyz</ExecName> </Application> </Root> now i have to read all the values from xml file and set each value to particular fields. i hav done reading of the xml file and i saved the retrieved value in arraylist. the code is like that public class CXmlFileHook { string appname; string classname; string idmark; string execname; string ctor; public CXmlFileHook() { this.appname = "Not Set"; this.idmark = "Not Set"; this.classname = "Not Set"; this.execname = "Not Set"; this.ctor = "CXmlFileHook()"; } public void readFromXmlFile(string path) { XmlTextReader oRreader = new XmlTextReader(@"D:\\Documents and Settings\\sunilr\\Desktop\\MLPACK.xml"); //string[] strNodeValues = new string[4] { "?","?","?","?"}; ArrayList oArrayList = new ArrayList(); while (oRreader.Read()) { if (oRreader.NodeType == XmlNodeType.Element) { switch (oRreader.Name) { case "AppName": oRreader.Read(); //strNodeValues[0] =oRreader.Value; oArrayList.Add(oRreader.Value); break; case "IdMark": oRreader.Read(); //strNodeValues[1] = oRreader.Value; oArrayList.Add(oRreader.Value); break; case "ClassName": oRreader.Read(); //strNodeValues[2] = oRreader.Value; oArrayList.Add(oRreader.Value); break; case "ExecName": oRreader.Read(); //strNodeValues[3] = oRreader.Value; oArrayList.Add(oRreader.Value); break; } } } Console.WriteLine("Reading from arraylist"); Console.WriteLine("-------------------------"); for (int i = 0; i < oArrayList.Count; i++) { //Console.WriteLine("Reading from Sting[]"+ strNodeValues[i]); Console.WriteLine(oArrayList[i]); } //this.appname = strNodeValues[0]; //this.idmark = strNodeValues[1]; //this.classname = strNodeValues[2]; //this.execname = strNodeValues[3]; this.appname = oArrayList[0].ToString(); this.idmark = oArrayList[1].ToString(); this.classname = oArrayList[2].ToString(); this.execname = oArrayList[3].ToString(); } static string vInformation; public void showCurrentState(string path) { FileStream oFileStream = new FileStream(path, FileMode.Append, FileAccess.Write); StreamWriter oStreamWriter = new StreamWriter(oFileStream); oStreamWriter.WriteLine("****************************************************************"); oStreamWriter.WriteLine(" Log File "); oStreamWriter.WriteLine("****************************************************************"); CXmlFileHook oFilehook = new CXmlFileHook(); //Type t = Type.GetType(this._classname); //Type t = typeof(CConfigFileHook); DateTime oToday = DateTime.Now; vInformation += "Logfile created on : "; vInformation += oToday + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "Public " + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "----------------------------------------------" + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "Private " + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "-----------------------------------------------" + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "ctor = " + this.ctor + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "appname = " + this.appname + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "idmark = " + this.idmark + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "classname = " + this.classname + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "execname = " + this.execname + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "------------------------------------------------" + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "Protected" + Environment.NewLine; vInformation += "------------------------------------------------" + Environment.NewLine; oStreamWriter.WriteLine(vInformation); oStreamWriter.Flush(); oStreamWriter.Close(); oFileStream.Close(); } } here i set set the fields according to arraylist index but i dont want is there any another solution for this....
