• Is it possible to tell a search engine not to index a specific section of an HTML page? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: Preventing robots from crawling specific part of a page I know you can use robots.txt to ignore entire pages or sections of your site, but is there a way to tell cralwers like the Googlebot to ignore specific sections of an HTML page? I found this blog post that discusses one method, but it appears only to work for the Google Search Appliance, not the Googlebot. Is there some method for at least Google for to do this?

• Tracking logged in vs. non-logged in users in Google Analytics

  I am building a social media site that is similar is structure to twitter and facebook.com where unauthenticated users who go to https://mysite.com will see a login + sign-up page, and authenticated users who go to https://mysite.com will see their timeline. My question is, what is the best practice (using Google Analytics) for tracking these two different types of users who are viewing completely different content but are visiting the same URL. I tried searching the Google Analytics docs but couldn't find what they suggested for this scenario. Perhaps I just don't know what keywords to search for. Thanks in advance for any help.

  I have nearly ended my journey of making a dual-boot windows xp and ubuntu computer. Along with version 12.04, came the problem with my NetGear WNDA3100v2 wireless adapter. It wasn't compatible. My last step in my adventure is to install the software called Windows Wireless Drivers. I have internet access on my laptop and a flash drive. When screen locks there is a blue box on top of the wallpaper and password dialog box that hides the field for entering your password or switching users. Problem is on 2 systems with similar hardware (Nvidia card, x-swat driver, dual monitors) You can still type your password in blindly and hit enter to login but it's irritating to not be able to see the dialog box.

• Sharing object between 2 classes

  I am struggling to wrap my head around being able to share an object between two classes. I want to be able to create only one instance of the object, commonlib in my main class and then have the classes, foo1 and foo2, to be able to mutually share the properties of the commonlib. commonlib is a 3rd party class which has a property Queries that will be added to in each child class of bar. This is why it is vital that only one instance is created. I create two separate queries in foo1 and foo2. • VBA - Access 03 - Iterating through a list box, with an if statement to evaluate

  So I have a one list box with values like DeptA, DeptB, DeptC & DeptD. I have a method that causes these to automatically populate in this list box if they are applicable. So in other words, if they populate in this list box, I want the resulting logic to say they are "Yes" in a boolean field in the table. So you can see why this is going to cause problems because the listbox that these values (DeptA, DeptB, etc) automatically populate in are dynamic....there is rarely one value in the listbox, and the list of values changes per OrderID (what the form I am using this on populates information for in the first place; unique instance). I am looking for something that will evaluate this list one at a time (i.e. iterate through the list of values, and look for "DeptA", and if it is found add yes to the SQL string, and if it not add no to the SQL string, then march on to the next iteration). Is there a way to disable this "feature" so that all mail I send to mailing lists appears in my inbox just like all other e-mail? Perhaps something along the lines of this method for disabling Google's spam filter??

• Cannot add VMDK to VM that was cloned with FlexClone

  I have a virtual machine called VM-A with two VMDK's on volume VOL-A. Call these VMDK-1 (system) and VMDK-2 (data). I want to clone VMDK-2 and attach that clone to VM-A as a new disk, but I'm getting an error. Here are my steps: I use the following command to clone : clone start /vol/VOL-A/VMDK-2 /vol/VOL-A/VMDK-3 Run clone status which shows successful and I can see the new file in the volume In vCenter I edit the settings of VM-A and try to add VMDK-3, but get the following error: Failed to add disk scsi0:4, Failed to power on scsi0:4 I've tried adding this cloned disk to other VMs and get the same error.   I am planning on building a new windows 2012 server for a client and I have no experience in doing so. I have built many linux servers for them and setting up software raid during the install is a trivial matter. I have been unable to confirm that the windows 2012 install process has an analogous process for setting up Storage Spaces during the install. Can Storage Spaces be used as an installation target (configured during setup?) Is it capable of mirror+stripe (RAID10)? We have not ordered the hardware yet, so I'm looking for clarification.

  I have a small network set up like this: I have a Pfsense for connecting my servers to the WAN, they are using NAT from the LAN - WAN. I have an OpenVPN server using TAP to allow remote workers to be put on the same LAN network as the servers. They connect through the WAN IP to the OVPN interface. Some observations we've made with resource scheduling/booking are: Outlook 2010 users have trouble with the native Exchange 2003 resource scheduling method and require direct booking to be configured via registry Outlook 2007 users are unable to use direct booking (is this accurate?) Outlook 2003 users can only use the native Exchange 2003 resource scheduling method (is this accurate?) • OpenVPN Bridge on pfsense: once LAN pings clients, connectivity breaks

  So I'm using a pfsense openvpn to bridge my LAN segment so VPN users can access the servers. The problem I'm having now is that I can establish a connection, I can ping the LAN server from the VPN, but as soon as I ping the client from the LAN server, there is no connectivity anymore between both parties. So: connect from the VPN client to the LAN = works ping the LAN from the VPN client = works access server from the VPN (ssh, ftp,...) = works ping client from server = doesn't work ping LAN from the VPN client = doesn't work anymore My bridge has em1 and ovpns1 bridged. I noted with tcpdump that ICMP is reaching the bridge between LAN and the VPN segment. But it's not put onto the em1 interface for some reason. My pfsense is running on an ESXi host with th vSwitch port enabled in promiscious mode. Firewall rules allow in and outbound traffic regardless origin or destination.

• AnyConnect SSL VPN split tunneling for a single website?

  We have a Cisco ASA 5510. We use split tunneling for AnyConnect SSL VPN clients. All internal addresses are tunnelled. Everything else is routed through the client's own internet connection. We use a SaaS service that only responds to requests when they come from one of our own public IP addresses. Because of this, VPN users are unable to access it currently. Is there a way to specify that a specific website should be tunneled and all others should not? NOTE: Worst case we will use a web bookmark on the clientless portal to tranlate through our network, but I'd like to see if the above is possible first.

• Exchange 2003 ActiveSync fine but GAL lookups not working

  We have Exchange 2003 SP2 and use ActiveSync for our mobile devices (iOS and sever Android versions). Everything works except for GAL lookups and we've confirmed that the devices and client versions we are trying it on are supposed to support it. The symptom is different depending on the client, but there is never an error. In a nutshell, lookups return no results. This was working previously and we aren't sure what has changed. Are there logs in Exchange or IIS that will allow me to see GAL lookup transactions? Could it be a GAL permissions issue? (No issues with GAL in Outlook) Could it have been caused by upgrading our DCs to 2008 and increasing the forest/domain functional levels?

• How to Eliminate Tape Backup and Off-site Storage Service?

THANKS! ;) Environment Info (all Windows): 2 sites 30 servers site #1 (3TB of backup data) 5 servers site #2 (1TB of backup data) MPLS backbone tunnel connecting site #1 and site #2 Current Backup Process: Online Backup (disk-to-disk) Site #1 has a server running Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 with four 1TB USB 2.0 disks. BE jobs for full backups run nightly on all servers in site #1 to these disks. Site #2 backs up to a central file server there using software they already had when we purchased them. A BE job pulls that data nightly to site #1 and stores them on said disks. Off-site Backup (tape) Connected to our backup server is a tape drive. BE backs up the external disks to tape once a week which gets picked up by our off-site storage company. Obviously we rotate two tape libraries, one is always here and one is always there. Requirements: Eliminate the need for tape and off-site storage service by doing disk-to-disk at each site and replicating site #1 to site #2 and vice versa. Software based solution as hardware options have been too pricey (ie, SonicWall, Arkeia). Agents for Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL. Some Ideas So Far: Storage DroboPro at each site with an initial 8TB of storage (these are expandable up to 16TB at present). I like these because they are rackmountable, allow disparate drives, and have iSCSI interfaces. They are relatively cheap too. Software Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 already has all the agents and licenses we need. I'd like to keep using it unless there is a better solution, similarly priced, that does everything BE does plus deduplication and replication. Server Because there is no more need for a SCSI adapter (for tape drive) we are going to virtualize our backup server as it is currently the only physical machine save for SQL boxes. Problems: When replicating between sites we want as little data as possible to go across the pipe. There is no deduplication or compression in what I have laid out here so far. The files being replicated are BE's virtual tape libraries from our disk-to-disk backup. Because of this each of those huge files will go across the wire every week because they change every day. And Finally, the Question: Is there any software out there that does deduplication, or at least compression, to handle just our site-to-site replication? Or, looking at our setup, is there any other solution that I am missing that might be cheaper, faster, better? Thanks. Sorry so long. UPDATE 2: I've set a bounty on this question to get it more attention. I'm looking for software that will handle replication of data between two sites using the least amount of data possible (either compression, deduplication, or some other method). Something similar to rsync would work but it needs to be native to Windows and not a port involving shenanigans to get up and running. Prefer a GUI based product and I don't mind shelling out a few bones if it works. Please, answers that meet the above criteria only. If you don't think one exists or if you think I'm being to restrictive keep it to yourself. If after seven days there is no answer at all, so be it. Thanks again everyone. • Connect to powershell through SSH with keyexchange?

  I have little experience with Windows systems. Coming from a Linux background I was wondering if there is a way that I can ssh to powershell from a Linux shell? If this is not possible, is there a key exchange like way to connect from powershell to powershell? I prefer it if I do not need to enter a password for every single server every time. If this all sounds a bit crazy and there are better ways that windows does this, then feel free to share.
