    How do I do factory reset on an EPSON Stylus Photo 1290 printer? The printer is refusing to work. It seems to be in some error state. I've tried re-installing drivers etc, but the printer itself seems to run some diagnostic routine when I switch it on, but will not do anything else. It will not move the carousel ready for me to change the printer cartridge or any other Is there'e some sequence of button presses on the printer to do a factory reset? The printer has three buttons on the front, plus a yellow button when the hood is open (as shown in this photo)

  • Address Label Printing without Windows Address Book

    In the past I've maintained my address book using the built-in Address Book utility that came with Windows. Once each year, I would import my Address Book (.WAB) file into Outlook 2003/XP. (I don't use Outlook for email.) Then I would use the Mail Merge feature in Word 2003/XP to make and print address labels on standard Avery label sheets to simplify address of my Christmas cards. Since I'm now using Windows 7, and the familiar Address Book utility is no longer available, how can I print my address labels? I have both Windows Address Book (.WAB) and Comma-Separated Values (.CSV) files that contain my address book data. So, I guess I need to know two things: Which program or utility (preferably free) can I use to print my address labels. How do I import my address data into that program? If it helps, I am already a user of Gmail and Google Drive. Thanks.

    My iPad is configured with gmail (using an exchange account, not imap but I don't think it is relevant). I would like to create and manage folder in the mail app. I noticed that it is sync to my gmail label. - this feature is not possible in the native mail app, neither in the official gmail app - the only way to do it is to use a pc or a mac (with the gmail desktop version) - in the gmail mobile web version, I cannot find any button to force desktop version. What is the simplest workaround?

  • Print raw data to a thermal-printer using c#

    Hi, I'm trying to print out raw ascii data to a thermal printer. I do this by using this code example: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322091 but my printer prints always only one character and this not until I press the form feed button. If I print something with notepad the printer will do a form feed automatically but without printing any text. The printer is connected via usb over a lpt2usb adapter and Windows 7 uses the "Generic - Generic / Text Only" driver. Anyone knows what is going wrong? How is it possible to print some words and do some form feeds? Are there some control characters I have to send? And if yes: How do I send them? Thanks!

  • iPhone SDK: Interface Builder label font, only shows when editing label

    I have tried this on a few installations of the 3.1.3 SDK. When I add a label to my view, I would like to change the font to something like Futura. I know how to change the font, but, for some reason, it does not show that it is changed. ONLY when I edit the label by double clicking, do I see my new font. And, this is the only time that I do get to see the new font, is when editing the label. Why does this happen? How can I change the font of my labels, and have it show up? Why would I care to have the font changed when I edit the label?!

  • Generic Text Only printer driver mangles control codes

    If an escape character (or most other characters < 0x20) is sent to the generic / text only printer it gets printed as a period. Using the code in the WinDDK is it possible to 'correct' this behaviour so that it passes it through unmodified? The general scenario for this is that some application ('user app') outputs a document to a windows printer. My application requires this data in plain text form and so what I do is run a generic / text only printer that talks to a virtual com port. This generally works fine except where the 'user app' outputs binary data to the print queue without using the correct mechanism (which seems to work fine on some printer drivers, such as the Epson POS ones, but not the generic / text only one). I've tried changing the print processor selection without success and also tried looking at the gtt files to see if I could readily map in these characters as though they were printable, but the minidriver tool won't let me do that. Any suggestions?

It would we really nice to be able to write it all in C#, but I have a feeling that this will require a printer driver to be written is unmanaged code.     Hello, can you please help me with the following questions... If I need a virtual printer that will convert a PostScript stream to a different format, do I have to implement a virtual printer from scratch or implement a rendering plug-in? The rendering plug-in seems to support only certain customizations. Also the data invariably goes to the spooler which is not needed in this case. If I implement a virtual printer driver does it completely replace the Microsoft PostScript Driver or the Microsoft Universal Driver? Since my driver is virtual, does it matter if I write a PostScript compliant or a Universal Driver compliant one? Any other method to convert a printed document to a custom document format apart from implementing a virtual printer driver? Can I hook on as a port monitor or something? From what I could understand I guess not.

I am trying to convert this into a DataSet, but when I do ds.ReadXml(xmlFile), then it creates two columns: label and value.   • Lubuntu 13.10 unable to connect to cups localhost:631

    I am using Lubuntu 13.10 (recently upgraded) and am trying to print to a network printer (HP photosmart 7960) through my router (US Robotics 5461). My printer is connected to the router via USB cable. Normally, I would use the cups configuration interface to set up the wireless connection to the printer. I was able to use the printer through the router wirelessly, using Ubuntu 12.04. Now, with my recently upgraded Lubuntu 13.10, I am unable to get the Cups config webpage (http://localhost:631) to come up. In Chromium, I get: This web page is not available. In Firefox, I get: Unable to connect. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:631. The CUPS config file details are below.   • python - tkinter - update label from variable

    I wrote a python script that does some stuff to generate and then keep changing some text stored as a string variable. This works, and I can print the string each time it gets changed. Problems have arisen while trying to display that output in a GUI (just as a basic label) using tkinter. I can get the label to display the string for the first time... but it never updates. This is really the first time I have tried to use tkinter, so it's likely I'm making a foolish error. After a fair bit of googling and looking through answers on this site, I thought the solution might be to use update_idletasks - I tried putting that in after each time the variable was changed, but it didn't help. It also seems possible I am meant to be using trace and callback somehow to make all this work...but I can't get my head around how that works (I tried, but didn't manage to make anything that even looked like it would do something, let alone actually worked). I'm still very new to both python and especially tkinter, so, any help much appreciated but please spell it out for me if you can :)

    Let me preface by saying that I saw this other question on the subject of CheckBox labels that was asked and answered well over a year ago. I was confused by the answers and am hoping that someone can clarify or that there has been new dojo functionality introduced since then that allows me to do this without resorting to HTML. So without further ado, I would like to know how to programmatically create labels for check boxes. I have a check box like so: this.pubBoxId = new dijit.form.CheckBox({ label: "IdChannel", checked: false, channel: that.idChannel }, that.name + "_PBI"); As you can see I've tried to edit the "label" field, but the label never actually shows up on the page. I have multiple CheckBoxes that I am adding to a ContentPane and simply want a label to the left or right of the check box. Is there any way I can do this without having to write separate HTML? Also, making a separate ContentPane for each individual label would be a big pain because of how many CheckBoxes I plan to have.
