• Jenkins shows same information for all projects

  I've been using Jenkins for the last month or so and what started out as a small issue has gotten worse and worse. I have 10 projects in Jenkins, all polling from different Git repos and building to different environments but they all show the same details on the dashboard. I can still build the projects, but I have to manually enter the URL to see any console output etc. I'm running 1.536 under Ubuntu 12.04, there's not much in the logs other than the following; Oct 22, 2013 2:21:19 PM WARNING jenkins.model.lazy.AbstractLazyLoadRunMap search JENKINS-15652 Assertion error #1: failing to load /data/builds #20 EXACT: lo=23,hi=9,size=23,size2=23 – Any ideas?

• Thunderbird's Grouped Inbox always shows all accounts

  I have four IMAP accounts "merged" into one using Thunderbird 2's "Grouped inbox" view. I want to take one of the four accounts out of the grouped view. It is a maintenance mailbox that contains a lot of status mails. Those mails tend to clog my "real" inbox. I am able to edit the Inbox folder using "Properties". In the list that comes up, it is possible to de-select the maintenance mailbox and everything works fine. However, if I restart Thunderbird, it will forget what I de-selected and use all four mailboxes again. Is there any way to make Thunderbird remember the change?

  I'm really having a hard time to process these results on my Ubuntu server. I have a major problem with my JBoss server where I get FileNotFoundExceptions along with "No space left on device" errors. • Google Chrome shows garbage text instead of web page

  On some websites, I receive garbage text instead of web page itself. I have noticed that this only happens for pages that are served with Content-Encoding set to GZIP or chunked headers, see the image please: I am using latest version 22.0.1229.94 of Chrome with Windows 7 Ultimaate. The encoding of browser is set to UTF-8. (I also tried changing encoding to Western, etc but same result) Can anyone suggest a solution to this? Thanks

• Calendar shows lighter/greyed out items

  Here's a screenshot of my Windows 8.1 Calendar. As you can see, some of the items appear lighter/greyed out (ie on the 15th, 21st). Why is this? I have not noticed any difference between these items, and none of the ideas I've had for why (ie items without a specific time are lighter) have fitted. My calendar is synced to hotmail. The calendar online (hotmail.co.uk). (There are a couple of new events, but nothing should have changed with the earlier ones.) This event appears lighter. But this event does not.

• Postfix sendmail -bs shows no output - permissions?

  When I run the sendmail -bs command as root, I get the expected output: $ sudo sendmail -bs 220 mydomain.com ESMTP Postfix ehlo localhost 250-mydomain.com 250-PIPELINING 250-SIZE 15728640 250-ETRN 250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES 250-8BITMIME 250 DSN But when I run the same command without sudo, I get no output at all and sendmail doesn't respond to any commands: $ sendmail -bs ehlo localhost quit wtf ^C $ How can I configure Postfix so that sendmail works for every user (or at least for some specific users)? I need this because SwiftMailer for PHP uses sendmail -bs for sending mails and fails when it can't find any output.

• User account shows two Downloads folders

  I have my user account on my D drive and junction'd to the C:\users folder. I accidentally moved my profile Downloads folder (C:\users\me\Downloads) and then moved it back to its path on the D drive (C:\me\Downloads). After doing this, the directory tree for my user profile lists two Downloads directories, one located at C:\users\me and one at D:\me. I tried deleting the directory from the D drive, then restoring it from the Recycle Bin to the proper location on the C drive (actually the D drive, accessed through the junction), but it gave me the two Downloads directories again. Is there some way to fix this so that the only listing is for the C:\users\me\Downloads directory, like it was to begin with?

• Exchange 2010 outlook anywhere - shows internal URL

  I am setting up an Exchange 2010 SP2 for a customer. However, the server address that the server returns with autodiscover is wrong, as it points to the internal domain (.local) - and not the external address. How do I change this? Here's an image to describe what I mean: It is the upper field that is wrong. I dont want users to enable the RPC over HTTP-thing, as the users know barely nothing about computers. • nginx : backend https, proxy_pass shows ip

  I am using nginx as a reverse proxy listening at port 80 (http). I am using proxy_pass to forward requests to backend http and https servers. Everything works fine for my http server but when I try to reach the https server through nginx reverse proxy the ip of the https server is shown in the client's web browser. I want the uri of the nginx server to be shown instead of the https backend server's ip (once again, this works fine with the http server but not for the https server). • Lenovo t400 laptop docking station with DVI out shows green artifacts when connected to monitor

  I have a Lenovo T400 laptop, with Windows XP. I have a docking station connected via DVI to my Samnsung monitor. I'm connected at 1920x1200 resolution and I keep seeing all these green dots (when colors are supposed to be near black). It's really bad. I have tried running on my Samsung monitor, at all sizes, even down town 1280x1024 like my monitors at work. When I use the docking station at work, I am able to connect 2 1280x1024 NEC monitors (one via DVI, one through VGA, both through my docking station). I have absolutely no issue there, both displays work great. I have tried to update the drivers, I've even installed the latest video drivers from lenovo's site (DEC-02-2010). • Pasting images into gmail from clipboard, shows fine when sent, but arrives as text

  I have had consistent problems with pasting images into Gmail. I use Firefox (just in case that is relevant, but I wouldn't expect so). The image displays fine as I write it. But when it arrives at my family members Gmail account, it is being displayed in some base64 encoded form as many pages of text with a beginning like: img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAA..... On the receiving end I cannot get the images to display properly.

• MacBook Air i5 4 GB RAM shows screen tearing when scrolling in browsers

  I see screen tearing pretty often while scrolling webpages up and down, and it has been like this from day 1. But now I purchased an external monitor which is huge (23 inches compared to the Mac's 11), and the effect is more visible. It is driving me nuts and giving me headaches. I wonder if you see the same. I was reading a lot about this problem, and it seems to be present on MacBook Pros as well? Can someone confirm I'm not alone? In other words: I'm deciding weather to go through warranty repair, or if it makes no sense if all of theme exhibit same behavior. It is shame to see this beautiful machine with an insane price tag to be lagging when browsing web, when the processor is just sitting there idle at 4-12%! This is an example I found on Wikipedia that more or less describes what happens when I scroll up down. The effect is not so pronounced and clears when I stop scrolling, but it is sure annoying the hell out of me. Firefox is tearing like hell, Chrome less, Safari exhibits jagged scrolling but less tearing compared to Chrome and Firefox. With synthetic benchmarks I don't see any problems with hardware. But this is not particularly revealing.

• Public IP shows strange characters and Facebook registers logged-in session to a different location

  I'm encountering some IP strangeness today and hoping to find an explanation. In short, I'm based in Seattle, WA with my ISP being Comcast. While browsing Facebook's account settings, I noticed that my active session was located to Mount Laurel, NJ. At that point I ran a search in Google for 'my public IP', which returned an interesting result: a string of characters in the following format: 2601:8:b000:xxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx Normally, a search for my IP returns something like: 67.xxx.xx.xxx A phone call to Comcast got me nowhere, but using Comcast's phone-menu debugging tools, I was able to send a 'refresh signal' to my modem. After that, the search for 'my public IP' yielded the expected result... for about 5 minutes, and then it returned to the new string of characters. Does anyone know of an explanation for this?

• Missing HDD space - says 65GB used, selecting all folders shows 40GB used

  Hi Running Windows Server 2008, 74GB raptor drive and noticed we only had about 500MB left - yikes! So deleted some old backups we don't need, but can't track down where about 25GB seems to be taken up. If I go to C: and select all folders and go to properties, this comes to around 40GB but in My Computer I can see 65GB is used. How can I find out whats eating the space? Just IIS + MSSQL Express + Smartermail on the server EDIT Checked to show hidden folders plus protected operating system files - 41.8GB usage, so 24.6GB is missing somewhere. Theres no system restore even installed on the server

• VMWare Server :: VM set to 2gb RAM but vmware process shows 100mb physical, 1900mb virtual

  I've set up a VMWare instance to run CastIron Integration Appliance. I allocated 2gb of memory to the instance, assuming it would take this as physical memory (my server has 8gb total). When I view top however on the server, the vmware-vmx process has about 100m Resident memory and 1900m Virtual. Running CastIron it reports that the appliance often hits 50% memory usage. Does this mean I'm using 900mb of harddrive space as memory? I wanted VMWare to use 2gb of physical memory, no swap. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this? • Firefox only shows a black window over RDP

  I have a Windows 7 desktop running Firefox 4. If I remote-desktop (RDP) from another PC into my already-running session, the Firefox window turns black. Flash applications are still visible, if I'm on a tab with one, and I can apparently interact with Firefox normally, I just can't see anything in the window. I'm after an explanation, if possible, and (even better!) a workaround or fix that doesn't involve a different web browser :).

• Windows 7 just restarts, no BSOD, shows "Event ID 14 volsnap"

  My Windows 7 just restarts without giving me a BSOD. When it reboots, it will hang sometimes and you have to let it rest. Sometimes it will print a message saying that Hal.dll is missing or corrupt. When it does restart I can't run a backup or a clone drive – it comes up with constant errors. I tried to run chkdsk – it says everything's clean. What is really puzzling is SyncToy on a different drive hangs half way through and won't run either. Machine: OCZ SSD Agility 2 for C drive SATA HDD for programs, documents on D drive MSI AMD 880 chipset Event viewer says something about critical power failure I/O operations and "Event ID 14 volsnap" – but that is just telling me the computer powered off which I already know.

• Chrome 33 shows ugly, blocky, pixelated fonts in Linux

  After updating to the latest version of Chrome (33) on my Gentoo Linux box, certain sites such as GitHub have started rendering with ugly, pixelated, non-antialiased fonts. Small text is now basically impossible to read. Before this, GitHub had looked the same to me on Windows, Linux, and Mac computers. So what has happened here and how can it be fixed? EDIT: Appears to be fixed on the stable release of Chrome 34.
