  • Call stored proc using xml output from a table

    - by user263097
    Under a tight deadline and I know I can figure this out eventually but I don't have much time to do it on my own. I have a table that has columns for customer id and account number among many other additional columns. There could be many accounts for a single customer (Many rows with the same customer id but different account number). For each customer in the table I need to call a stored procedure and pass data from my table as xml in the following format. Notice that the xml is for all of the customers accounts. <Accounts> <Account> <AccountNumber>12345</AccountNumber> <AccountStatus>Open</AccountStatus> </Account> <Account> <AccountNumber>54321</AccountNumber> <AccountStatus>Closed</AccountStatus> </Account> </Accounts> So I guess I need help with 2 things. First, how to get the data in this xml format. I assuming I'll use some variation of FOR XML. The other thing is how do I group by customer id and then call a sproc for each customer id?

  • php add hours to date output wrong result

    - by i need help
    Basically what I want to do is to send an email to follow up on order placed in 3 hours later. What I try to do is to get the current date (up to hours level), then compare with the orderdate+ 3 hours, to see whether it match. Example orderdate: 2010-06-12 18, after add 3 hours should become 2010-06-12 21 However, after add hour, the final result sometimes become bigger, sometimes become smaller... something wrong. $now= date('Y-m-d H'); echo $now . "<br>"; ... ... while ($data = mysql_fetch_array ($result)) { $orderid = $data['orderid']; $orddate = $data['orddate']; $corddate= date('Y-m-d H:i:s', $orddate); $year = substr ($corddate, 0, 4); $month = substr ($corddate, 5, 2); $day = substr ($corddate, 8, 2); $hour = substr ($corddate, 11, 2); $actualorderdate= $year . "-" . $month . "-" . $day . " " . $hour; $new_time = mktime ($hour+3, 0, 0, $month, $day, $year); $year = date ('Y', $new_time); $month = date ('m', $new_time); $day= date ('d', $new_time); $hour= date ('h', $new_time); $xhourslater= $year . "-" . $month . "-" . $day . " " . $hour; echo "actualorderdate: ". $actualorderdate. " xhourslater: " . $xhourslater. "<br>"; if($now==$xhourslater) { echo "now is 3 hours later" . "<br>"; //send email follow up, then update status as sent, in order not to resend anytime in the 3rd hour. } }

  • Sorting the output from XmlSerializer in C#

    - by prosseek
    In this post, I could get an XML file generated based on C# class. Can I reorder the XML elements based on its element? My code uses var ser = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Module)); ser.Serialize(WriteFileStream, report, ns); WriteFileStream.Close(); to get the XML file, but I need to have the XML file sorted based on a BlocksCovered variable. public class ClassInfo { public string ClassName; public int BlocksCovered; public int BlocksNotCovered; public double CoverageRate; public ClassInfo() {} public ClassInfo(string ClassName, int BlocksCovered, int BlocksNotCovered, double CoverageRate) { this.ClassName = ClassName; this.BlocksCovered = BlocksCovered; this.BlocksNotCovered = BlocksNotCovered; this.CoverageRate = CoverageRate; } } [XmlRoot("Module")] public class Module { [XmlElement("Class")] public List<ClassInfo> ClassInfoList; public int BlocksCovered; public int BlocksNotCovered; public string moduleName; public Module() { ClassInfoList = new List<ClassInfo>(); BlocksCovered = 0; BlocksNotCovered = 0; moduleName = ""; } } Module report = new Module(); ... TextWriter WriteFileStream = new StreamWriter(xmlFileName); XmlSerializerNamespaces ns = new XmlSerializerNamespaces(); ns.Add("", ""); var ser = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Module)); ser.Serialize(WriteFileStream, report, ns); WriteFileStream.Close();

  • Reading a series of input / output in Python

    - by PulpFiction
    Hello everyone. For my app, I need to print out a series of outputs and then accepts inputs from the user. What would be the best way of doing this? Like: print '1' x = raw_input() print '2' y = raw_input() Something like this, but it would go on for at least 10 times. My only concern with doing the above is that it would make up for poor code readability. How should I do it? Should I create a function like this: def printOut(string): print string Or is there a better way?

  • Using Entity Framework V4 - Mapping Stored Procedures with XML output

    - by ericwahner
    I have been attempting to implement the Entity framework into my project and unfortunately it seems like mapping an XML result set from SQL is not something that is supported. I also have issues with returning multiple result sets, though I understand that the EFExtensions was created to try to mitigate that issue. Is there a way to take a FOR XML EXPLICIT result from a SQL Stored Procedure and map it using the Entity Framework?

  • Permuting output of a tree of closures

    - by yan
    This a conceptual question on how one would implement the following in Lisp (assuming Common Lisp in my case, but any dialect would work). Assume you have a function that creates closures that sequentially iterate over an arbitrary collection (or otherwise return different values) of data and returns nil when exhausted, i.e. (defun make-counter (up-to) (let ((cnt 0)) (lambda () (if (< cnt up-to) (incf cnt) nil)))) CL-USER> (defvar gen (make-counter 3)) GEN CL-USER> (funcall gen) 1 CL-USER> (funcall gen) 2 CL-USER> (funcall gen) 3 CL-USER> (funcall gen) NIL CL-USER> (funcall gen) NIL Now, assume you are trying to permute a combinations of one or more of these closures. How would you implement a function that returns a new closure that subsequently creates a permutation of all closures contained within it? i.e.: (defun permute-closures (counters) ......) such that the following holds true: CL-USER> (defvar collection (permute-closures (list (make-counter 3) (make-counter 3)))) CL-USER> (funcall collection) (1 1) CL-USER> (funcall collection) (1 2) CL-USER> (funcall collection) (1 3) CL-USER> (funcall collection) (2 1) ... and so on. The way I had it designed originally was to add a 'pause' parameter to the initial counting lambda such that when iterating you can still call it and receive the old cached value if passed ":pause t", in hopes of making the permutation slightly cleaner. Also, while the example above is a simple list of two identical closures, the list can be an arbitrarily-complicated tree (which can be permuted in depth-first order, and the resulting permutation set would have the shape of the tree.). I had this implemented, but my solution wasn't very clean and am trying to poll how others would approach the problem. Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I need to find common elements between two arrays. My code is: $sql="SELECT DISTINCT fk_paytbl_discounts_discountid as discountid from paytbl_discounts_students WHERE fk_vtiger_cf_601='".$categoryid."'"; $discountstudentinfo=$objdb->customQuery($sql,false); $sql1="SELECT DISTINCT fk_paytbl_discounts_discountid as discountid from paytbl_discounts_variants WHERE fk_vtiger_products_productid='".$variantid."'"; $discountvariantinfo=$objdb->customQuery($sql1,false); $commondiscount=array_intersect($discountvariantinfo,$discountstudentinfo); First array Array ( [0] => Array ( [discountid] => 2 ) [1] => Array ( [discountid] => 8 ) [2] => Array ( [discountid] => 5 ) [3] => Array ( [discountid] => 4 ) ) Second array Array ( [0] => Array ( [discountid] => 1 ) [1] => Array ( [discountid] => 5 ) ) Common array Array ( [0] => Array ( [discountid] => 1 ) [1] => Array ( [discountid] => 5 ) ) Common array should have only discountid 5 but its showing 1 also.   • Output error in comparing characters from two strings

    - by Andrew Martin
    I'm stuck with my a piece of code I'm creating. My IDE is Eclipse and when I use its debugging feature, to trace what's happening on each line, it outputs perfectly. However, when I click the "run" project, it just outputs a blank screen: public static void compareInterests(Client[] clientDetails) { int interests = 0; for (int p = 0; p < numberOfClients; p++) { for (int q = 0; q < numberOfClients; q++) { String a = clientDetails[p].getClientInterests(); String b = clientDetails[q].getClientInterests(); int count = 0; while (count < a.length()) { if (a.charAt(count) == b.charAt(count)) interests++; count++; } if ((interests >= 3) && (clientDetails[p].getClientName() != clientDetails[q].getClientName())) System.out.print (clientDetails[p].getClientName() + " is compatible with " + clientDetails[q].getClientName()); interests = 0; } } } The code is designed to import an object array which contains information on a client's name and a client's interests. The client's interests are stored in the format "01010", where each 1 means they are interested in that activity, each 0 means they are not. My code compares each character of every client's string with every other client's string and outputs the results for all client's that don't have the same name and have three or more interests in common. When I run this code through Java's debugger, it outputs fine - but when I click run project or compile, I just get a blank screen. Any ideas?

  • Trace output not getting logged in output file at times.

    - by Mini
    I'm using TextWriterTraceListener to log error messages to a text file.The TraceOutputFile has been mentioned in the web.config file as "trace.log.txt". The error messages are getting logged to the trace.log.txt. But at times I notice that some files are getting generated randomly under root folder with the exception details instead of logging to the trace.log.txt. This is not happening in any particular page and hence I am unable to detect the reason as to why these files are getting generated.Ex:14dbc20a-9eb8-4fec-b6bd-54400db2ceatrace.log.txt . Can u suggest me any circumstances when this might happen?

  • Trouble recording unique regex output to array in perl

    - by Structure
    The goal of the following code sample is to read the contents of $target and assign all unique regex search results to an array. I have confirmed my regex statement works so I am simplifying that so as not to focus on it. When I execute the script I get a list of all the regex results, however, the results are not unique which leads me to believe that my manipulation of the array or my if (grep{$_ eq $1} @array) { check is causing a problem(s). #!/usr/bin/env perl $target = "string to search"; $inc = 0; $once = 1; while ($target =~ m/(regex)/g) { #While a regex result is returned if ($once) { #If $once is not equal to zero @array[$inc] = $1; #Set the first regex result equal to @array[0] $once = 0; #Set $once equal to zero so this is not executed more than once } else { if (grep{$_ eq $1 } @array ) { #From the second regex result, check to see if the result is already in the array #If so, do nothing } else { @array[$inc] = $1; #If it is not, then assign the regex search result to the next unused position in the array in any position. $inc++; #Increment to next unused array position. } } } print @array; exit 0;

  • How to output multiple rows from an SQL query using the mysqli object

    - by Jonathan
    Assuming that the mysqli object is already instantiatied (and connected) with the global variable $mysql, here is the code I am trying to work with. class Listing { private $mysql; function getListingInfo($l_id = "", $category = "", $subcategory = "", $username = "", $status = "active") { $condition = "`status` = '$status'"; if (!empty($l_id)) $condition .= "AND `L_ID` = '$l_id'"; if (!empty($category)) $condition .= "AND `category` = '$category'"; if (!empty($subcategory)) $condition .= "AND `subcategory` = '$subcategory'"; if (!empty($username)) $condition .= "AND `username` = '$username'"; $result = $this->mysql->query("SELECT * FROM listing WHERE $condition") or die('Error fetching values'); $this->listing = $result->fetch_array() or die('could not create object'); foreach ($this->listing as $key => $value) : $info[$key] = stripslashes(html_entity_decode($value)); endforeach; return $info; } } there are several hundred listings in the db and when I call $result-fetch_array() it places in an array the first row in the db. however when I try to call the object, I can't seem to access more than the first row. for instance: $listing_row = new Listing; while ($listing = $listing_row-getListingInfo()) { echo $listing[0]; } this outputs an infinite loop of the same row in the db. Why does it not advance to the next row? if I move the code: $this->listing = $result->fetch_array() or die('could not create object'); foreach ($this->listing as $key => $value) : $info[$key] = stripslashes(html_entity_decode($value)); endforeach; if I move this outside the class, it works exactly as expected outputting a row at a time while looping through the while statement. Is there a way to write this so that I can keep the fetch_array() call in the class and still loop through the records?

  • submit button on html to output result on same page

    - by amateur
    Hi, Although this seems like something very basic, but no matter what I tried I couldn't get my head around it. Basically I want a html form where a user types in their ID number in an input text box and when they hit the submit button it displays their email address which is their company ID number @ company.com, such as below <form action=""> ID Number: <input type="text" name="idnumber" /><br/> <input type="submit" value="Whats my email address" /> </form> <p>Your email address is 'idnumber'@email.com</p> Can this even be done using html or would I need to use Javascript or PHP for it? Thanks

  • Perl parsing ps fwaux output

    - by Magic Hat
    I am trying to figure out children processes of a given parent from ps fwaux (there may very well be a better way to do this). Basically, I have daemons running that may or may not have a child process running at any given time. In another script I want to check if there are any child processes, and if so do something. If not, error out. ps fwaux|grep will show me the tree, but I'm not exactly sure what to do with it. Any suggestions would be great.

  • Maven exec bash script and save output as property

    - by djechlin
    I'm wondering if there exists a Maven plugin that runs a bash script and saves the results of it into a property. My actual use case is to get the git source version. I found one plugin available online but it didn't look well tested, and it occurred to me that a plugin as simple as the one in the title of this post is all I need. Plugin would look something like: <plugin>maven-run-script-plugin> <phase>process-resources</phase> <!-- not sure where most intelligent --> <configuration> <script>"git rev-parse HEAD"</script> <!-- must run from build directory --> <targetProperty>"properties.gitVersion"</targetProperty> </configuration> </plugin> Of course necessary to make sure this happens before the property will be needed, and in my case I want to use this property to process a source file.

  • Loop through Array with conditional output based on key/value pair

    - by Daniel C
    I have an array with the following columns: Task Status I would like to print out a table that shows a list of the Tasks, but not the Status column. Instead, for Tasks where the Status = 0, I want to add a tag <del> to make the completed task be crossed out. Here's my current code: foreach ($row as $key => $val){ if ($key != 'Status') print "<td>$val</td>"; else if ($val == '0') print "<td><del>$val</del></td>"; } This seems to be correct, but when I print it out, it prints all the tasks with the <del> tag. So basically the "else" clause is being run every time. Here is the var_dump($row): array 'Task' => string 'Task A' (length=6) 'Status' => string '3' (length=1) array 'Task' => string 'Task B' (length=6) 'Status' => string '0' (length=1)
