If I stop all Oracle services, is it safe to backup by just copying the entire directory (e.g., to C:\oracle_bak), or am I significantly better off using expdp? I think I can guarantee thread-safe access to the ivar from multiple NSOperations by using dependencies, and I can guarantee that I don't access the ivar from other code (say my main app thread) by waiting until the Q has finished all operations. Should I use a nonatomic property specification, or leave it atomic? Is there a significant impact on performance?

• Drupal is unable to create the "files" folder (and any upload php script as well)

  hi, Drupal cannot create the "files" folder. I tried to upload a php script with mkdir("files",774) but I get a permissions error, so basically any php script is not able to create a folder on the server... What do you suggest ? If I create the folder manually from ftp client and I assign 777 permission everything works perfectly, but it is not safe solution.
