  • Vim - How Recognize Spaces as Tabs (set listchars=tab)

    - by Eduardo Lucio
    I wonder if it is possible to use a configuration for that command "set listchars=tab:¦¦,trail:·" to "see" 4 spaces as tabs and get the effect of the picture below (using real tabs)... I use the setting "set expandtab" to Vim use spaces in place of tabs. I really need to use spaces instead of tabs, but I would keep the functionality above. There is some form of do this? Here's how Vim behaves when I use "set expandtab"... ... I wish he recognized one tab for every 4 spaces like above! My setup for tabs... set tabstop=2 set shiftwidth=2 set softtabstop=2 set expandtab Thank you!

  • jquery event handler- trigger function upon specific key and action

    - by Gal
    Background story: when a user selects a portion of text in a text field with her mouse (mark it up manually), and subsequently hits "alt" key, a certain function would trigger. My questions are: How can I trigger a function when a user hits a key (in her keyboard)? How can I preserve a portion of text selected, and use it as a parameter for that function? I've tried looking up online but haven't found any good answers, but i'd greatly appreciate links as well.

  • How to create a session in PHP when there is a session on the same domain in Rails?

    - by Tony
    I have a Rails app on a subdomain - xyz.domain.com, and a PHP app on another subdomain - abc.domain.com When a user is logged into the Rails app, I would like to give them a session so that I can log certain events about that user in the PHP app but in the same database of the Rails app. I would essentially just expose an API that requires authentication. What is the best way to go about this? I am not storing the session in a database

  • HTTP request stream not readable outside of request handler

    - by Jason Young
    I'm writing a fairly complicated multi-node proxy, and at one point I need to handle an HTTP request, but read from that request outside of the "http.Server" callback (I need to read from the request data and line it up with a different response at a different time). The problem is, the stream is no longer readable. Below is some simple code to reproduce the issue. Is this normal, or a bug? function startServer() { http.Server(function (req, res) { req.pause(); checkRequestReadable(req); setTimeout(function() { checkRequestReadable(req); }, 1000); setTimeout(function() { res.end(); }, 1100); }).listen(1337); console.log('Server running on port 1337'); } function checkRequestReadable(req) { //The request is not readable here! console.log('Request writable? ' + req.readable); } startServer();

  • MSVC++ 6.0: Fatal error C1509 "Too many exception handler states in function"

    - by sep332
    I'm working on a project that uses a lot of generated files for a GUI. After some recent updates, I get this error. If I remove some controls (the new ones or some old ones, doesn't seem to matter which), the error goes away. I've temporarily worked around the problem, but I'd like a more permanent solution. I've seen mentioned on the web that there's a fix for this in VS.Net 2003, but I can't find anything for 6.0. Does anyone know of a hotfix or service pack that fixes this?

  • Is there a more modern regexp handler for Open Object Rexx

    - by Brent.Longborough
    The regular expression class (rxregexp.dll) that comes with ooRexx (I'm on 4.0.0) is relatively low on function compared, say, with Python's re module (even at 2.5.2). It appears to have no assertions, no facilities for group extraction, or for substitution. Greedy or lazy matching is a global pattern option, rather than flagged by an additional "?". Basically, a pre-PCRE regular expression engine. Does anyone know if anything with more up-to-date function is available?

  • Save phone calls data in a DB?

    - by Alex
    How would you save this data on a database: An user can make phone calls (id, date, hour, duration, outcome). The "outcome" can be, for example, to recall the client on another day (so I have to save the date, the hour, etc of this "future" call). How would you manage this data on a db? At the moment i have only a "Call" table.

  • ListView in Android, handler for clicking item

    - by eljainc
    Hello, I have an activity in Android which uses a ListView. When I click on an item in the ListView, I would like to be able to determine which item was clicked. I have the following code: @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setRequestedOrientation (ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT); setContentView(R.layout.listr); //setupDB(); // populateList3(); ListView lv = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.ListView01); lv.setClickable(true); lv.setOnItemClickListener(new OnItemClickListener() { public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> parent, View view, int position, long id) { Toast.makeText(ListRecords.this,"Clicked!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } }); } My XML code: xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/Linear03lr" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:gravity="center" android:layout_height="fill_parent"> android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="400dp" / <Button android:id="@+id/previousbutton" android:gravity="center_horizontal" android:layout_width = "fill_parent" android:layout_height = "fill_parent" android:text="Previous Menu"/> </LinearLayout> What am I missing here to be able to intercept clicks on the Listview?   • how to save a fitted R model for later use

    - by ahala
    Sorry for this novice question: if I fit a lm() model or loess() model, and save the model somewhere in a file or in database, for later using by third party with predict() method, do I have to save the entire model object? Since returned model object contains orginal raw data, this returned object can be huge.
