    I am using the recess php framework with lighttpd Does anyone know how I can use the shorter urls of: http://www.myserver.com/recess Instead of: http://www.myserver.com/index.php/recess The recess readme file says that if I have mod_rewrite I can use the shorter url: -- "Do you have mod_rewrite? -- Yes: Open your browser to the location you unzipped -- No: Open your browser to the location you unzipped followed by index.php" I do have mod_rewrite enabled on lighttpd and i have removed the index.php but I get a 404. Do I need any special rules in my lighttpd.conf?

    I have two identically-sized numpy.array objects (both one-dimensional), one of which contains a list of starting index positions, and the other of which contains a list of ending index positions (alternatively you could say I have a list of starting positions and window lengths). In case it matters, the slices formed by the starting and ending positions are guaranteed to be non-overlapping. I am trying to figure out how to use these starting and ending positions to form an index for another array object, without having to use a loop.     Hello Guys, I have a datatable with plenty of records. And i have a range like lowerRange = 10 and upperRange = 200. I want the pull the records starting at row 10 till row 200. Now i don't want to add any new index based column into the datatable. Is there any way with the help of linq, i can pull the set of rows based on some internal datatable index? I guess, the datatable must be maintaining some row index implicitly. Please suggest.

    I have a query that is very recently starting to throw: "The built-in indices are not efficient enough for this query and your data. Please add a composite index for this query." I checked the line on which this exception is being thrown, and the problem query is this one: count = self.vote_set.filter("direction =", 1).count() This is literally a one-filter operation using appengine's built-in backreferences. I have no idea how to optimize this query...anyone have any suggestions? I tried to add this index: - kind: Vote properties: - name: direction direction: desc - kind: Vote properties: - name: direction And I got a message (obviously) saying this was an unnecessary index.     I tried following this reference and this is now my domain's code: class SnbrActVector { long nid String term double weight static mapping = { version false nid index:'Nid_Idx' } static constraints = { term(blank:false) } } What I want is to do is to add an index key for 'nid' column. I dropped the existing table and run the app again so the table is then recreated. However, when i check for list of indices, I can't see a 'Nid_Idx', only available is 'PRIMARY'. Do I have to manually create the index and name it 'Nid_idx in my mysql database? Thanks.

    I'm having a problem with a JEE6 application running in a clustered environment using WebSphere ApplicationServer 8. A search index is used for quick search in the UI (using Lucene), which must be re-indexed after new data arrived in the corresponding DB layer. To achieve this we're sending a JMS message to the application, then the search index will be refreshed. The problem is, that the messages only arrives at one of the cluster members. So only there the search index is up to date. At the other servers it remains outdated. How can I achieve that the search index gets updated at all cluster members? Can I receive the message somehow on all servers? Or is there a better way to do this?

    Does anyone know how I could get the logo at the top of my page to appear on top of the curtains. http://nuigums.tumblr.com/ The logo is within a section tag along with the rest of the content with a z-index of 2, which is required to get the footer reveal effect I want. The curtain has a z-index of 3. I tried setting the z-index of the logo div to 4 but I presume the fact that the sections styling overrides that? I would like the logo to scroll with the content of the page also. Thanks. :)

    hello, i need your help with div positioning into a page. i have the below divs: - the header with z-index 10, position absolute, top 0, height 250px, width 100% - wrapper with margin 0 auto, width 990 and inside - the menu with z-index 8 - content to the right of the menu with z-index 9 so that i could scroll it below the header. the problem is that i want the menu to have fixed position and this is not possible cause it is not working for the x-axis as it gets outside wrapper. I want to keep for my users) index.php (drupal new installation) Is there a way to set in drupal this kind of situation? The problem, as you problably can see at this point, is that every time I'm going to a different section I'm being redirected to the .html homepage. I mean for example the admin section is: www.mydomain.com/?q=admin instead of www.mydomain.com/index.php?q=admin What's the easiest way to keep the html static web for my current users while I'm developing my drupal7 website in the "background"?

My question is am I doing something wrong and if not, what can I do so that this element stays only in the frame it is placed.

    I have been playing around with the /etc/asterisk directory, installing the related pacakge (asterisk-config), removing it, removing the directory manually (just playing around to get the configuration synced to my configuration repo).   • How do I install the latest version of packages in Ubuntu?

    For example I want to install the latest version of "numpy". I type the following: "sudo apt-get install python-numpy". When I type this the first time it installs something and if I type this the second time it writes that I have already the latest version of numpy. However, I see that my version of numpy is 1.1.1. and I know that it NOT the latest version. Why it happens and how this problem can be solved? I can find the *tar.gz file with the latest version, I can extract files with the archive and than I need to rune one of the scripts which will be somewhere among the extracted files. But I do not like this way. It is too complicated. I do not know where I should put all these files, I do not know which dependencies I should install before I run the script for the installation of numpy, I do not know where numpy will be put after installation and so on. Is there an easy way to get the latest version of numpy?

    Hi, I have a server running on Ubuntu 10.04 on which I wanted to install Mercurial via % sudo apt-get install mercurial It seems to have installed successfully and doesn't show me any error messages. But when I try it I get: % hg abort: couldn't find mercurial libraries in [/usr/bin /usr/lib/python2.6 /usr/lib/python2.6/plat-linux2 /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-tk /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-old /usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6 /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages] (check your install and PYTHONPATH) I've googled for a while now and found some sites with the same problem but I still have no idea on how to fix it since it nowhere really says what I need to look for or what I need to add to my PYTHONPATH... By the way, right now my PYTHONPATH seems to be empty: % echo $PYTHONPATH % This is what I get if I look into my /usr/lib/ directory for mercurial: % find /usr/lib/py* -name 'mercurial*' /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/mercurial-1.4.3.egg-info /usr/lib/pyshared/python2.6/mercurial Can anybody please help me with that? What (and how) should I set my PYTHONPATH to? I already tried reinstalling, installing with "easy_install mercurial" or with "aptitude reinstall mercurial" but nothing helped. I installed php5-gd with: apt-get install php5-gd And when I run php -i I get: gd GD Support => enabled GD Version => 2.0 FreeType Support => enabled FreeType Linkage => with freetype FreeType Version => 2.4.8 T1Lib Support => enabled GIF Read Support => enabled GIF Create Support => enabled JPEG Support => enabled libJPEG Version => unknown PNG Support => enabled libPNG Version => 1.2.46 WBMP Support => enabled Directive => Local Value => Master Value gd.jpeg_ignore_warning => 0 => 0 But it does not show up in phpinfo(); I have restarted the server four times and I have tried to restart Apache2 four million times. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this problem?

    i wrote a CD with an iso-image from debian.org. the debian-7.5.0-amd64-CD-1.iso from this folder. Debian Wheezy 7.5 stable 64bit There was an error at Select and install software step. It said Retrieving file 770 from 800 and then it failed the installation. I continued the instal and when i opened the computer it doesn't work the Ctrl + Alt + F7 as i waited. It starts at tty1 and after logging in i edited config file cause it had a lot of errors and said E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages or Couldn't found the package.     It seems that when trying to install any package which requires the creation of a system User and Group, the installer fails with the error: install: invalid user 'username' When it happened the first time, I assumed it was related to the package, or it's installation script. But now I am attempting a different package, and alas, the same issue arises! note: /etc/passwd and /etc/group is not chattr -i Here is the example output from an attempted installation (of varnish): Selecting previously unselected package varnish.
