• Error in configuration file

  I have copied my project folder from my live server to my local host and edited the config file as per localhost, but still i am displayed with the "Internal Server Error:500" The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, admin@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. I cannot understand what should be the problem here, please help me to track the issue here....

• Prevent .htaccess syntax error

  Hi, As part of one our system's we enable a user in the backoffice to add a block of 301 redirects should they need to. This is just a textarea which then populates a specific area of a .htaccess file. As much as this may seem insecure it has only previously used internally by people who know what they are doing but for various reasons they cannot access the specific file. We need now to allow more access to this function, not for the general public, but for people that probably have far less knowledge of regexp etc and syntax in htaccess files. Obviously the major concern here is the user enters some bad syntax and makes their entire site, including the backoffice where they could fix the issue, totally inaccessible without manual intervention. What approaches can i take to make sure that they do not break their site? A htaccess syntax check? copy the file elsewhere and check it doesnt generate a 500 error (with cURL or similar)?. Would welcome any ideas. Thanks.

It would be nice to have a list of these, one technique per answer. As a hobbyist I would find this to be very useful, thanks. And for the sake of not being too vague, let's say we are using a maintstream DB such as MySQL or Oracle, and that the DB will contain 500,000-1m or so records across ~10 tables, some with foreign key contraints, all using the most typical storage engines (eg: InnoDB for MySQL). And of course, the basics such as PKs are defined as well as FK contraints.

  I need to display upcoming events from a database.   I have a large directory tree of files, and am using the following script to list and replace a searched-for name with a specific file. Problem is, I don't know how to write the createList() for-loop correctly to account for whitespace in a directory name. If all directories don't have spaces, it works fine.   Hi, I have a table with a lot of records (could be more than 500 000 or 1 000 000). I added a new column in this table and I need to fill a value for every row in the column, using the corresponding row value of another column in this table. I tried to use separate transactions for selecting every next chunk of 100 records and update the value for them, but still this takes hours to update all records in Oracle10 for example. What is the most efficient way to do this in SQL, without using some dialect-specific features, so it works everywhere (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, PostGre etc.)?

  Trying to use a wildcard in C# to grab information from a webpage source, but I cannot seem to figure out what to use as the wildcard character. Nothing I've tried works! The wildcard only needs to allow for numbers, but as the page is generated the same every time, I may as well allow for any characters.   I am working on scroll. I have made a program wherein if the scroll box is in particular range of the panel then it automatically moves to a particular position in the slider. For eg, I have a panel of size 500. the scroll has height of 100. Now the total intervals are 5. Now if i slide the scroll box at a position 225 then i want that it automatically slides to the start of that interval that is at position 200. or if i slide to position 450 then instead of staying there it goes to position 400.   There was another thread about this, which I've tried. But there is one problem: the textarea doesn't shrink if you delete the content. I can't find any way to shrink it to the correct size - the clientHeight value comes back as the full size of the textarea, not its contents. The code from that page is below. • Websphere/Oracle 11 - much more Heap Usage than with Oracle 10

  Hi all, while testing our application with Oracle 11 (previously, we had Oracle 10), we saw that our server uses much more heap space. It seems as it has something to do with T4CConnection; there are 500 objects of T4CConnection allocated. Someone told me, that Oracle 11 is using SoftReferences to keep the connection pool; but we don't need that. Is that correct? Could that be the problem for the increased heap space? If yes - how can we avoid connection pooling? Thanks a lot!!

It happens when connection with MySQL is lost during query. I need to handle this exception so I can show 500 error page so the crawlers do not cache page, and to redirect user to appropriate "Try again" page. P.S. I have a lot's of code, so I can not go trough all code to put try/catch block. I need something simple and yet effective.

It is possible to tell the Proxy return null instead of raising the exception? Detailed Explanation: Our document: class User { /* @MongoDB\ReferenceOne( ... ) */ private $photo; } If $photo contains a MongoDbRef, but the document is lost/deleted, when we do if ($user.photo) { ... } doctrine will raise a MongoDBException: The "Proxies\DocumentPhotoProxy" document with identifier "4fd8b3ef732bafab7b000000" could not be found We want to suppress the exception since our application can handle null values in that variable. (we could simply log that error, while the exception propagate to a 500 page and disrupt our service)
