  Since you cannot use the normal 'update' and 'update_attribute' methods from ActiveRecord to update a protected attribute, is the following the best way to update an attribute for a single user? User.update_all("admin = true","id = 1") I'm guessing this doesn't lie in the 'best practice' category, so I'm just curious if there is a more appropriate way.

• RNDC fails: permission denied

  Named works great. It creates a pid in /var/run/named/named.pid as expected. It is listening on port 953 as shown by the log: Apr 20 14:42:38 guchuko named[9115]: command channel listening on 127.0.0.1#953 But whenever I try to run "rndc reload" I get: rndc: 'reload' failed: permission denied What file is it being denied permission to ? It doesn't log anything so I don't know why it's not working.   Hi This is the third time I am asking this question. I am only looking for the syntax of how to solve this problem. I am using prestashop as the cart for my website. I have a problem; the website used to be in dynamic urls. I enabled friendly url writing. The problem is that one page has more than one url. You can access a same page from the dynamic url and static url. In fact a single page has 9 different urls. This obviously creates problems for seo as search engines penalize my website for this.   I have a database is access with each record having a date and yes/no type columns for each record which shows which category the record comes under. I want to create a report which shows the types of cases in each month by taking a date range as a parameter through prompts. I have done the prompt part but I'm not sure how the query should be to show values for each month in that date range. Can someone please help me with this?

• Adding outlets to UIButton

  For quickly mocking up UI, I'd like to be able to drag buttons onto a view in interface builder, then drag a connection from that button to the view that should appear when you click it. A subclass of UIButton is a little inconvenient to use in IB, so I'd prefer to add the behavior to UIButton itself. Unfortunately, it seems like outlets created in a category aren't visible in IB: @interface UIButton (myextensions) { IBOutlet UIView *outletDestination; } @end Can extra outlets be added this way?
