• Display only file name in FileUpload control

  I have a webpage in asp.net 3.5 that uses the FileUpload control. When a user clicks on the "Browse" button (which is part of the control) the control displays a file select popup (dialog box). When the user selects the file which they wish to upload, by default the full path to the file is shown in the textbox (which is also part of the control); however, I wish for it to only display the file name and not the full path. Anyone know of a slick and easy way to do this?

  hy, i need a little help here i want to be able to upload multiple images after i upload all i want to display thumbnails, when i click on a thumb i want to be able to rotate the image (rotate the original image not only the thumb) All uploaded images i want to be in one php array, in the order they have been uploaded.   Hey folks, ok so this is my problem, I need to display HTML code in a jsp, which wouldn't be a problem, except a requirement for this project is that we place all the code in a public class file and have seperate methods for each chunk(header, sidebar footer, etc). Now here's where i'm confused: "Your method should take the PrintWriter as a parameter to print out each line of HTML, and should have a return type of void" What does that mean? How do I pass the PrintWriter into a method? Does this make sense to anyone?

When a person flicks the UIImageView I animate it using: [UIView animateWithDuration:2 delay:0 options:UIViewAnimationOptionCurveEaseOut animations:^{ recognizer.view.center = finalPoint; } What I want is the label5 to display the y value of the imageView during the animation not just after. Is it possible to do this?

• Robust way to display an image with one fixed dimension

  Lets say that we have an image uploaded by the user, the upload script limits the mb but not the image size (so could be any proportion, 600X200,200X350, and so...). Im already showing this image in one part on my site using the twitter bootstrap image handler written on css, thats good for a profile picture, the problem is that now I want that image to be a cover (like facebook/twitter cover image), my site is responsive so the width of the cover is 900px or 100% if the screen resolution is less than 900px wide. The height is always fixed to 200px. So I know there is a way to control the correct image display using CSS (maybe with jquery too) but Im not a front-end dev, Im a php dev and I dont want to use server side scripts for doing this. So im looking for suggestions or pieces of codes (css, javascript) to start with, I belive that it have to be an already made solution for this, but I dont find any on google. Thanks for any advice!

  Hi I have an app that has hundreds of words with 3/4 images for each word. I have 2 versions of each word one for iOS 3 and one for retina display. I wish to save the images as data and connect them to the appropriate word so it will be easy to pull them later. my question is - how do i get the suitable size ? its works great with the @2x wjen you get it from the app file system, but hoe does it supposed to work when i get it from data ? thanks shani

• Wordpress: Forcing a widget to display?

  I've been trying to make a widget which stays active permanently on a wordpress sidebar, preferably being on top before all other widgets. However the only way I have figured I can do this is by manually modifying individual sidebar.php's but that is slow and inefficient. So is there a way I can force a widget to display in a sidebar? If I was to change actual wordpress code where would I go about doing htis? I Know where a widget is registered but I don't know where a widget is activated, if I knew this I think I could force the main widget I want to see active all the time be active.

  Hi everyone, I am working in a tool in PHP that processes a lot of data and takes a while to finish. I would like to keep the user updated with what is going on and the current task processed. What is in your opinion the best way to do it? I've got some ideas but can't decide for the most effective one: The old way: execute a small part of the script and display a page to the user with a Meta Redirect or a JavaScript timer to send a request to continue the script (like /script.php?step=2). Sending AJAX requests constantly to read a server file that PHP keeps updating through fwrite(). Same as above but PHP updates a field in the database instead of saving a file. Does any of those sound good? Any ideas? Thanks!

• Documents/Images display fine in Simulator, but not on my device

  Hello. My application is running fine on the simulator, but not on the device. Basically, any documents from the web (PDF, Word, M4P videos) are working great on the simulator (and can be accessed from Safari on the iPhone). However, running on the iPhone, they don't display anything. Here's some sample code: // Set up the URL documentViewController.documentUrl = [NSURL URLWithString:[NSString stringWithFormat:mobileContentUrl]]; // mobileContentUrl is something like: http://www.myserver.com/pathitem/Video.mp4" and can be accessed from Safari [self.navigationController pushViewController:documentViewController animated:YES]; Within documentViewController I have: - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; [webView loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:documentUrl]]; } As I said, works like a charm in the Simulator...What could possibly causing this NOT to work on iPhone? Basically, This is a projects form and the user needs to select the the primary contact which is contrained by the customer id (GETbyCustomerID) set in another field. I have it working... mostly except the combobox only displays the contact ID which is completely useless to the user. I need to know how to display the First and Last name (both are seperate columns in the table). Any help? I am just using the designer.

  I'm new to Android,trying to build a simple game which use 1-bit black and white display.the screen dimension is 160 * 80,that is 12800 pixels.I created a byte array for the "VRAM",so each time it draws,it first checks the array. The thing is that I am not drawing a point or rectangle for each pixel,I'm using 2 bitmaps(ARGB_4444,I have to use alpha channel,because of shadow effect),1 for positive and 1 for negative.So I called 12800 times drawBitmap() in the surfaceView's Draw method.I know that's silly...But even for openGL,12800 quards won't be that fast right?   Scenario: laptop (running RHEL 5.3 / 5.4) with Wi-Fi allowing incoming connections (the laptop is the DHCP server and default gateway of any device that connects to it). The laptop has a streaming server installed (my app). I need to program an app that could monitor this link (device / streaming server) and display the throughput. More importantly, I need this app to be able to throttle the throughput. Think WANem but as an app, or netlimiter but (way) simpler and for RHEL. E.g. a simple product, with a regular price of 50¢, no taxes and qty increments of 20 should be displayed on product views with "$10 per 20". Without using taxes this should be quite easy. But there seems to be no "default" helper or model to do this with taxes enabled and different calulation algorithms (e.g. Mage_Tax_Model_Calculation::CALC_UNIT_BASE); expect for quotes in Mage_Tax_Model_Sales_Total_Quote_Tax and Mage_Tax_Model_Sales_Total_Quote_Subtotal. Did I miss something here, or do I have to write the business logic on my own? And how I would best encapsulate it?
