I was wondering how I could alter this code to write the compiled code to a predefined name like copiled_code.js I've tried altering the _getCacheFileName() function on Line 272 to this function _getCacheFileName() { //return $this->_cache_dir . $this->_getHash() . • Test Column exists, Add Column, and Update Column

  I'm trying to write a SQL Server database update script. I want to test for the existence of a column in a table, then if it doesn't exist add the column with a default value, and finally update that column based on the current value of a different column in the same table. I want this script to be runnable multiple times, the first time updating the table and on subsequent runs the script should be ignored. My script currently looks like the following: IF NOT EXISTS(SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'PurchaseOrder' AND COLUMN_NAME = 'IsDownloadable') BEGIN ALTER TABLE [dbo].[PurchaseOrder] ADD [IsDownloadable] bit NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 UPDATE [dbo].[PurchaseOrder] SET [IsDownloadable] = 1 WHERE [Ref] IS NOT NULL END SQL Server returns error "Invalid column name 'IsDownloadable'", i.e. I need to commit the DDL before I can update the column.   I went to http://www.asp.net/mvc/ to try to install ASP.NET MVC. I didn't know, but MVC is now at version 2. There's a nifty thing called the Microsoft "Web Platform Installer" (WPI) which basically is a small installer-driver tool that presents a menu of things I might want to install, to do web things on Windows. On the menu are things like ASPNET MVC2, but also Drupal, PHP, Joomla, and a bunch of other things. From http://www.asp.net/mvc/, when I click on the link that says "Install MVC", it resolves to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=185037, which then pops up the WPI. But Then! I get an error dialog that reads "Installing ASPNET MVC2 requires VS2008 SP1". But I know that I have VS2008 SP1. What gives?

  For a project I need to automate creation of business cards. Now, they have a InDesign file for each business card template. They insert the info of alle the people in the indesign file and then generate a pdf of it. Now, entering the information of customers in a web application is no problem, but how will I generate a pdf and how will I alter the indesign file at runtime? I think that altering the indesign file will be not possible programmatically? Could I generate a pdf from the indesign with one card template in it. At runtime I would copy the card in the pdf x number of times. Then I would need to inject the information of the people (name, address, ...)? What's possible here? The final pdf is used by a machine that automatically creates the business cards, cuts them, ...

• Locking on an object...

  I often see code like that which is shown here, ie where an object is allocated and then used as a "lock object". It seems to me that you could use any object for this, including the event itself as the lock object. Why allocate a new object that does nothing? My understanding is that calling lock() on an object doesn't actually alter the object itself, nor does it actually lock it from being used, it's simply used as a placeholder for multiple lock statements to anchor on. So my question is, is this really a good thing to do?

  I'm trying to use Shark to determine which method(s) are taking the most time in my iPhone app. After sampling, I get this: Clicking the "!" button yields: Shark was unable to find symbol information for this address range. Typically this happens because the application was compiled without symbols or they have been subsequently stripped away. In Xcode, make sure the "Generate Debug Symbols" checkbox is selected (passes the -g flag to the compiler). Note that this does not affect code optimization, and does not typically alter performance significantly. However, the extra symbol information does consume significantly more space and may bloat the size of the executable. But I AM using the Debug option, and I am running on my Device. And Generate Debug Symbols IS checked. So what's wrong?

  Hi SO, I've been given a task to connect multiple sites of the same client into a single network. So i would like to hear an architectural advice on connecting these sites into a single community. These sites include: 1. Invision Power Board Forum (the most important site) 2. 3 custom made cms-s (changes to code allowable) 3. 1 drupal site 4. 3-4 wordpress blogs Requirements are as follows: 1. Connecting all users of all sites into a single administrable entity. With permissions changing ability, users banning etc. 2. Later on, based on this implementation I have to implement "facebook like" chat, which will be available to all users regardless of place of login. I have few ideas on my mind on how to go with this, but would like to hear some people with more experience and expertize than my self. Cheers!

  I want to load a bunch of view definitions into SQL Server 2005 & 2008. I am using IF/ELSE logic to dynamically building Create or Alter statements that I then EXEC. This works fine. However, unless I get the order of the statements correct, I get errors if a view is dependent on another view that would be created in a later statement. Is there a way to turn of the valiation of the SQL statements until after they have all been entered? It seems like the worst of both worlds. SQL Server does late binding and so it won't propogate changes to tables and views, but you can't create a view without all the pieces being in place.

  I'm working on versioning our database and now searching for a way to drop all stored procedures and functions from a C# Console Application. I'd rather not create a stored procedure that drops all stored procedures and functions. I has to be some sql executed from C#. I tried to drop the stored procedure before creating it, but I get this message: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: 'CREATE/ALTER PROCEDURE' must be the first statement in a query batch. Script for one SP for example: DROP PROCEDURE [dbo].[sp_Economatic_LoadJournalEntryFeedbackByData] SET ANSI_NULLS ON SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[sp_Economatic_LoadJournalEntryFeedbackByData] @Data VARCHAR(MAX) AS BEGIN ... END So I guess before creating all SP's and functions I'll need to drop all SP's and functions first with one sql script.

• Should I Prefer a Closed or Open List<> System?

  Hey guys, I've got a class in my project that stores a List< of elements. I'm trying to figure out whether I should allow the user to add to that List directly (e.g. Calling the native add/remove methods) or lock it down by declaring the List private and only allowing a handful of methods I choose to actually alter the List. It's a framework, so I'm trying to design it as robustly as possible, but I also want to keep it as simple and error-free as possible. What's the best practice in this situation? Thanks, Tyler

• How can I prevent IIS from trying to load a dll?

  My project is a Speech Server application using Windows Workflow. It runs as an app under IIS. It supports a plug-in system. Here is what is happening: Load DLL into memory and set the type on an InvokeWorkflow control. When the InvokeWorkflow control runs, it appears to correctly instantiate the workflow from the loaded assembly - it completes the Initialize method. Everything crashes an burns, the target workflow is never executed. I can resolve this by putting a copy of the DLL in the application's executing directory. The workflow then executes correctly So it appears that IIS is trying to reload the assembly, even though its already in memory. Is there anyway to alter or disable this behavior in IIS? Perhaps a hook I can write that will intercept the request to load the dll and use my own logic to do so?

  I feel as if this should be very simple, but it's behaving strangely. I have 3 entities, with a relationship as such Entity A <-- Entity B <<-- Entity C I have an NSFetchedResults controller and I'm trying to filter the results of Entity A using the following predicate. [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"NONE entityB.entityC == %@", self.entityC]; When I try and run the app, the output shows no results. I can alter the predicate slightly to: [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@"ANY entityB.entityC == %@", self.entityC]; And it shows me only the results that I want it to filter out. Why is this happening?

  I am working on a site that must be designed with mobile accessibility in mind. As part of our brainstorming, we wondered whether it's possible to detect, for a mobile browser (i.e. Mobile Safari or the Android browser), when the viewing device has changed orientation, and to use that as a trigger to change page content? As the title of this question implies, our best-case scenario is the ability to detect the orientation change and use it to alter the CSS on the fly so as to present a slightly different page for landscape versus portrait. Of course we can just design for a page that looks good one way and make it obvious that it's supposed to be viewed that way, but the cool-stuff factor of a page that looks good either way is pretty appealing. Is this idea implementable? Practical?

  For example, I alter a column in a table to be not null from null. I need to then delete and readd the table. That part is pretty clear. What about views, functions, and stored procedures that access the table, especially that column in the table? I've tried running diffs against the files generated by SQLMetal with some limited success, but even with that it's fairly unclear. I know there is at least one commercial tool out there that claims to address this problem, but I am looking for something free. How are people dealing with this issue?

  Is there anything wrong with running alter table on auth_user to make username be varchar(75) so it can fit an email? What does that break if anything? If you were to change auth_user.username to be varchar(75) where would you need to modify django? Is it simply a matter of changing 30 to 75 in the source code?: username = models.CharField(_('username'), max_length=30, unique=True, help_text=_("Required. 30 characters or fewer. Letters, numbers and @/./+/-/_ characters")) Or is there other validation on this field that would have to be changed or any other repercussions to doing so?   hello everyone. i am using slideshow2 by Aeron Glemann in a website.Does in generate the thumbnails or do i have to provide them?the images iam showing are coming from a cloud, and are passed to the slideshow in an array.the thumbs exist in the cloud. how can i pass them in the array if the show cannot create them? i have used the replace parameter with regex but it shows as thumbnails the full image and nothing happens when i alter the css properties for the thumbnails. the images are displayed. here is the line for the show creation: var myShow = new Slideshow('show', eval(res.value), { controller: true, height: 350,overlap: false, resize: false, hu: '',replace:[/^\S+.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png)$/,'t$1'],thumbnails: true, width: 600}); the value object contains the images from the cloud in format shown below: ['xx.jpg','yy.png',....] thank you very much for your time.

I want to add a condition that if the parameter of @IsPrestigeFeatured = 0 then update all of the other rows < PropertyId in the IsprestigeFeatured column to 0 and if @IsPrestigeFeatured = 1 then IsprestigeFeatured = 1 where propertyId = PropertyId.
