• Unable to set relative path for flash file in ASP.NET MVC using AC_FL_RunContent

  Hi, I have a website using asp.net mvc in which I need to embed a flash file in view. I am unable to set the relative path for the flash file. Given below is the code I am using: AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase', 'http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0', 'width', '487', 'height', '359', 'menu', 'false', 'movie', 'images/butterfly', 'quality', 'high', 'allowscriptaccess', 'sameDomain', 'pluginspage', 'http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' ); where I copied butterfly.swf in a directory called images. images directory resides in the views folder. If I use code behind( default.aspx default.aspx.cs) in a different solution with the same folder strucuture, browser is able to load the flash file.   I have two models, product and order. Product - cost - id Order - cost - product_id Each time someone places an order, it captures the product_id through a radio button value in the "new order" form. In the controller when creating the new order it needs to set order.cost to order.product.cost. Logically I thought the code should be something like this: def create ... @order.cost == @order.product.cost ... end However I can't seem to make it work at all, hence me asking the question here. Any help is answering (or naming) the question would be greatly appreciated.

• Java webapp: where/how to automatically set each picture's width/height

  For several reasons, a lot of "webmaster guides" (like Google and Yahoo!'s webmaster guides/guidelines) repeats several times that it is better to always put the width and height attribute of the img tag. One of the most obvious reason is that the elements in the page won't seem to be "jumping around" to a new location after every picture is loaded (always setting the correct width/height sure gets rid of this behavior). And there are other reasons to follow these guidelines / best practices. So: if we consider that these are indeed good practices if there are a lot of pictures and they are changing often if pictures aren't changing between two .war re-deploy (that is: there's no user-contributed picture) if we don't want to manually edit all these width/height attributes How do we automatically/programmatically serve HTML pages where every img tag have their width/height attribute correctly set as the best practice recommend?

• Set window to stays always on desktop on windows7

  Hi, I'm trying to set my window a child of the desktop, and i'm doing this like this: HWND ProgmanHwnd = ::FindWindowEx( ::FindWindowEx( ::FindWindow(L"Progman", L"Program Manager"), NULL, L"SHELLDLL_DefView", L""), NULL, L"SysListView32", L"FolderView"); SetParent(m_hWnd, ProgmanHwnd); This works fine in windowsXP, my window is underneath all windows and when i press the "show desktop" option the window shows and all other "normal" windows are hide. But in Win7 when i do the above code the same window is not displayed, in spy++ i can see that my window is a child window of the SysListView32 but it not display (and it has the WM_VISIBLE style)? What i'm missing? or what changed from winXP to win7? how can i do this to work on win7? Update: It's got something to do with aero theme, because if i change the desktop theme to the basic then the window is displayed, but if i switch back to one of the aero theme then is hided again. • Richfaces a4j achtionparam set null value

  I am trying to reset some values in a form using the a4j:actionParam tag. But it seams that null values never arrive in the target bean. The converter receives it correctly, returns null, but it is never set in the bean. The target is to fill in the start and endDate for different predefined values (last week, last month etc). • XSLT: If Node = A then set B=1 Else B=2

  I am looping thru looking at the values of a Node. If Node = B, then B has one of two possible meanings. --If Node = A has been previously found in the file, then the value for A should be sent as 1. --If Node = A has NOT been found in the file, the the value for A should be sent as 2. where file is the xml source to be transformed I cannot figure out how to do this. If I was using a programming language that allowed for a variable to have its value reassigned/changed, then it is easy. But, with XSLT variables are set once.

• Set bold rows in a QTreeView

  I have a custom subclass of a QTreeView in a pyqt application. I'm trying to give the user the ability to highlight and "lowlight" (for lack of a better term) rows. Highlighted rows should have bold text and (optionally) a different background color. Any ideas? I'm considering StyleSheets as an option, but have so far been unable to get that to work. If I set the QTreeView's stylesheet: self.setStyleSheet("QTreeView::item:selected {border: 1px solid #567dbc;}") I can't figure out how to manually enable 'states' that would keep only the desired rows at a particular state. If I try setting an individual item's stylesheet: #modelIndex is a valid QModelIndex modelIndex.internalPointer().setStyleSheet() I get a segfault. I'm not convinced stylesheets are the way to go, I'm open to all ideas. Thanks!

  I have a child element of a div named "bob" that's class is '.divTitle' <div id="bob"> <div class="divTitle"> <a href="#"> <h1>Title</h1> </a> </div> </div> I am trying to set the background color of "divTitle" to red but for the life of me can't get this to work. Right now I am trying two things... $('#bob').children('.divTitle')[0].css('background-color', '#0f0'); // assuming children is returning an array... and $('#bob').children('.divTitle').css('background-color', '#0f0'); neither with any success... can anyone tell me what I am missing here? Do I have to go deeper than ".children"?

  I noticed it is possible to set the value of a jQuery UI slider in the following way: $("#mySlider").slider("value", 42); This triggers the event handlers attached to the slider as expected. Now I'm trying to do the same trick using a button (toggle). There does not appear to be a nice way to do this in the API. I might just be missing something simple. I tried the following with no results: $("#myButton").button().click(); Any ideas how to handle that in this case are welcome. Note that it would be awesome to find a solution that applies for a buttonset as well.

I'm trying to use the Text Layout Framework to improve the speed of the operation but i've founded that TLF is far slower (10X in my tests) than the old setTextFormat().   Hi, I want to set up source control for my project, but it seems like I need a server for this. I've never done this before, and I couldn't find anything helpfull yet. Is there any way to host a server locally so Visual studio can use it? Or do you know any online (free) servers I can use? • Unable to set mouse cursor JLayeredPane

  I'm running into a problem that I can't seem to figure out nor find the answer anywhere on the web. I've got a JLayeredPane and when it only has one child Panel I am able to correctly set the cursor using setCursor(). The cursor shows up and everything is fine. • Load JSON in Python as header character set

  Hi everyone, I've always found character sets and encodings complicated to understand and here I'm faced with another problem. My apologies for any inaccuracies. I'll do my best. I'm requesting data from a server which returns JSON. In the HTTP headers it also returns the character set like so: Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 I'm using the JSON library in Python to load the JSON using the json.loads method. When I pass it the returned JSON, it gives me a dictionary in Unicode. I've Googled around and I know that JSON should return Unicode as JavaScript strings are Unicode objects. How can I load the JSON as UTF-8? I would like to use the same encoding as specified in the response header. I've read this post but it didn't help. Thank you.

• Using SalesForce's Web Service to create and set the type of a Task

  I am successfully creating a Task using the SalesForce API SOAP API through Java. However, my problem is that I can't seem to set the Type of it. They all default to "Call" but I really want them to be "Email". Can someone point me in the direction of where I can do this? I think it is to do with RecordTypeMapping, but i am somewhat confused as to how to use this in my Java code to look up the particular one for Task type. I feel I have got so close with this. I have the correct WSDL that is giving me the extra method on the Task.java class, but no matter what I pass in, it dies. This doesn't seem to be a huge ask, yet i am perplexed as to which dots to join to get it to work Any help would be appreciated. thanks

  Hello everyone, I have an html table, and one column (<td>) has long text, so I want to set the max-width of the column -- so that if text is longer than the max-width, the text could auto-wrap to next line. I have tried to use css max-width style on related TD element of the column, something like "max-width:100px", but it does not work (text still very long and not auto-wrap to next line if it is very long). I've been wondering how I might set the version number displayed for user-scripts in Chrome's extension tab So far the obvious methods have failed: // ==UserScript== // @version 1.1.5 // @uso:version 1.1.5 // ==/UserScript== I know Greasemonkey for Firefox doesn't use a version value, but since Chrome actually displays a version number, I thought it might. Perhaps this is a feature that has not been implemented? Or maybe it was never intended to be there, but it is there because extensions have version numbers, and user-scripts are currently installed as extensions? • Is there a way to set the minHeight of the scroll bar thumb in Flex 3

  In my project we needed to make the scollbars look like Windows scrollbars. Therefore I have a thumbIcon on the thumb of a vertical scrollbar, but if I get too many items in the combobox, the scrollbar gets fiddly. This is because the margin between the thumbIcon and the border of the thumbSkin is too small. Is there a way to set the minimum height of the thumbSkin so that I can ensure there is always a margin there and it always looks good, even if there are too many items? Image above, see the thumb? By the thumbIcon I mean the 3 horizontal lines. The top and bottom margin between this icon and the border of the thumb itself is too small. This is the normal scroll bar, the thumbIcon and the borders of the thumb have enough margin, which make the scroll bar look a lot better.

  Is there a way to move a sequential set of commits from one (local) branch to another? I have searched quite a bit and still haven't found a clear answer for what I want to do. For example, say I have this: master A---B---C \ feature-1 M---N---O---P---R---Q And I have decided that the last 3 commits would be better off like this: master A---B---C \ feature-1 M---N---O \ f1-crazy-idea P---R---Q I know I can do this, and it does work: $ git log --graph --pretty=oneline (copying down sha-1 ID's of P, R, Q) $ git checkout feature-1 $ git reset --hard HEAD^^^ $ git checkout -b f1-crazy-idea $ git cherry-pick <P sha1> $ git cherry-pick <R sha1> $ git cherry-pick <Q sha1> I was hoping that instead there would be a more concise way to do this, possibly with git rebase, although I haven't had much luck.
