  • javascript autocompletion for DSL. (e.g.: SQL)

    I want to give the user a web-page where he can type some simple SQL. select * from myTable. What I would like is to have the autocompletion area to help typing: sel [selECT] select * f [select * fROM] select * from [select * fROM column1] [select * fROM column2] ... Anybody can suggest if there is a nice open source library for this ? I am not really interested in the SQL (I will have to parse a DSL) I am more interested on a powerful autocompletion text area widget.

  • iPhone UITextView leaves room for 2 lines at the bottom

    Hi Guys, When i start typing text in a default textView in my viewcontroller, its not going to the bottom of the textfield. It leaves room for 2 more lines of text and then starts scrolling. I want it to start scrolling when i start going beyond the last line. I tried everything, and i dont know what i can do? Anyone any ideas?

    Getting the subdomain from a URL sounds easy at first. http://www.domain.example Scan for the first period then return whatever came after the "http://" ... Then you remember http://super.duper.domain.example Oh. So then you think, okay, find the last period, go back a word and get everything before! Then you remember http://super.duper.domain.co.uk And you're back to square one. Anyone have any great ideas besides storing a list of all TLDs? John

    On a webpage, is it possible to split large files into chunks before the file is uploaded to the server? For example, split a 10MB file into 1MB chunks, and upload one chunk at a time while showing a progress bar? It sounds like JavaScript doesn't have any file manipulation abilities, but what about Flash and Java applets? This would need to work in IE6+, Firefox and Chrome. Update: forgot to mention that (a) we are using Grails and (b) this needs to run over https.

I would like to see the documentation as I can see it in Object Browser with description of parameters and everything not just some "summary".     I'm implementing serial key functionality in my application. User needs to enter at least 64bit number in order to register the application. Because typing number like 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 will take a while I want to compress it a bit. The first guess was to code this number hexadecimally but it still is quite long (0x7FFF FFFF FFFF FFFF). Is there any standard method in .NET to code this number alphanumerically using for example: digits, upper-case and lower-case characters?
