• Automatically enabling an output filter in Apache module

  I am developing a module for Apache which contains an output filter that I would like to always be invoked so that it can determine whether to process the request data or just pass the data along. Since I would like the module to be compatible with Apache 2.0 as well as 2.2, I do not want to use mod_filter. Ideally I would like to do this without having to explicitly enable the filter through the httpd.conf file, but I have so far not been able to find any example of this. Is this at all possible? Can someone please point me to a suitable example?

• science.js’s loess() output is identical to input

  Rendered project available here. The line is supposed to be a trend line (as rendered with LOESS), but it merely follows each data point instead. I am no stats wonk, so maybe it makes sense that a LOESS function’s output would match the input as seen in the above example, but it strikes me as being wrong. • Disassemble Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 compiler output

  I'm seeing what I think is strange behaviour from object files output by the Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 tools. The file utility tells me: asmfile.obj: 80386 COFF executable not stripped - version 30821 For objects created by the assembler, but for objects coming from C files, I get just: cfile.obj: data Using Microsoft's dumpbin utility and the objdump I got from cygwin, I can disassemble the assembly-built file, but I get no useful results from either utility for the C-built files. I have a couple of questions related to this difference: What is the object file format generated by the MSVC2003 compiler? How can I disassemble that object file? I am particularly interested in getting the disassembly in AT&T syntax - I'm doing a port of a large source base to make it work with GCC, and I would like to use this method as a shortcut for some of the inline assembly routines in the project. • Record AVAudioPlayer output using AVAudioRecorder

  In my app the user plays a sound by pressing a button. There are several buttons which can be played simultaneously. The sounds are played using AVAudioPlayer instances. I want to record the output of these instances using AVAudioRecorder. I have set it all up and a file is created and records but when I play it back it does not play any sound. It is just a silent file the length of the recording. Does anyone know if there is a setting I am missing with AVAudioPlayer or AVAudioRecorder? Thanks

  Tcpflow outputs a bunch of files, many of which are HTTP responses from a web server. Inside, they contain HTTP headers, including Content-type: , and other important ones. I'm trying to write a script that can extract just the payload data (i.e. image/jpeg; text/html; et al.) and save it to a file [optional: with an appropriate name and file extension]. The EOL chars are \r\n (CRLF) and so this makes it difficult to use in GNU distros (in my experiences). I've been trying something along the lines of: sed /HTTP/,/^$/d To delete all text from the the beginning of HTTP (incl) to the end of \r\n\r\n (incl) but I have found no luck. I'm looking for help from anyone with good experience in sed and/or awk.   I have a SQL Server 2005 database with some Stored Procedures (SP) that I would like to debug...essentially I would just like to check variable values at certain points throughout the SP execution. I have SSMS 2008, but when I try to use the debugger, I get an error that it can't debug SQL Server 2005 databases. And I can't use the Visual Studio debugger (by stepping into the SP via Server Explorer) because Remote Debugging is blocked by our firewall, and I'm rightfully not allowed to touch the firewall. So my question is how can I check variable values at certain points in the SP execution? Is there some way to output those values somewhere, perhaps along with some text?

Sure, it works but it seems like a hack. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

• BioPython: extracting sequence IDs from a Blast output file

  Hi, I have a BLAST output file in XML format. It is 22 query sequences with 50 hits reported from each sequence. And I want to extract all the 50x22 hits. This is the code I currently have, but it only extracts the 50 hits from the first query. from Bio.Blast import NCBIXM blast_records = NCBIXML.parse(result_handle) blast_record = blast_records.next() save_file = open("/Users/jonbra/Desktop/my_fasta_seq.fasta", 'w') for alignment in blast_record.alignments: for hsp in alignment.hsps: save_file.write('>%s\n' % (alignment.title,)) save_file.close() Somebody have any suggestions as to extract all the hits?   I have this 3rd party library that has: slf4j-api-1.5.5.jar slf4j-jdk14-1.5.5.jar jcl-over-slf4j-1.5.5.jar I want to write some tests against this library and see its log output, and I don't want to add any more logging libraries (no log4j or anything else). I understand that SLF4J and Common Logging are both logging abstractions so I probably need to write my own simple concrete logger (or maybe not, since jcl-over-slf4j includes org.apache.commons.logging.impl.SimpleLog?). If so, what interfaces should I implement, and more importantly, how do I set up SL4J/Common Logging to use my logger in my test? I read in the SLF4J docs that I have to modify the StaticLoggerBinder class... does that really mean that I actually have to download SLF4J sources, modify the class and recompile it?

• Glassfish v3 Domain Output Log is not ending after the netbeans debug is stopped

  I would like to know if anybody is experiencing the problem on endless if log that is too long when Netbeans Debugging session is stopped? We use java logging in our web application but if I stop the debug, suddenly in the Output Glassfish v3 Domain window, there are a lot of log that is being dump. The log would last so long, that I need to click the Stop the Server because if I don't the Netbeans logger would consume too much memory that makes it too slugish later. I am not sure how long until the log stop but it last for minutes. Any ideas here?

• Understanding the output of ldd

  I'm having a hard time understanding the output of ldd - Especially the processor identifiers. The string in question is this one: Shortest.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, from ']', not stripped I have several questions about it: What does "ELF" mean? I know that's what Linux binaries are called like (Windows Binaries are called PE Binaries, "Portable Executable" Binaries), but isn't ELF an abbreviation for something? What does LSB mean? I can't even guess it... I see the string "Intel" there, now I seriously wonder about the portability of Linux binaries, as ldd seems to expect every binary to be compiled on a intel processor... but what if it wasn't compiled on a Intel processor? Or when I attempt to run the binary on a computer that doesn't run ontop of a Intel processor? Why the ']'? My guess is it should be some sort of Linker identify, but ']' doesn't look much like a Identifier... Thanks in advance

  Dear All: Sorry this is probably a very simple question. I am using gradle http://www.gradle.org/ for my development environment. It works quite well! I have written a simple unit test that uses HtmlUnit and my own package. For my own package, I use java.util.Logger. HtmlUnit seems to use commons logging: http://htmlunit.sourceforge.net/logging.html I would like to see console output of my logging messages from java.util.Logger However, it seems that even messages at the info level are not displayed in my Unit Test Results GUI (System.err link), although the HtmlUnit messages are all displayed.   Working on some tweaks for a build script, I noticed that the output from svn export has an 'A' in column 1 for each file exported. A C:\build\file1 A C:\build\file2 A C:\build\file3 The subversion book describes the meaning of the various columns for svnlook changes and svn status, but I'm not having much luck finding the meaning behind this one.   Hello, I am trying to output my Flash application's trace to the firebug console. After some Goggling I have found that other are doing something like this: public static function debug(text: Dynamic):Void { trace(text); ExternalInterface.call("console.log", text.toString()); } My Firebug console never outputs anything and always just shows "Please Reload Page to enable..." So, of coarse, I have reloaded the page and it does not seem to change anything. I have the correct Object imported into the calling class. I am running FireBug 1.4.2.
