    I would like to add a virtual microphone (similar to how you can have a virual CD drive and then mount ISO files on it.) so that it can be selectable in programs like MSN and skype. But have the source of the audio be streamed from over a network(I know how to stream the audio over the network in VB.net) but how do I get that audio which has been streamed as the input to the virtual microphone?   • installing Python application with Python under windows

    My application uses many Python libraries (Django, Twisted, xmlrpc). I cannot expect that the end user has the Python installed with all needed libraries. I've created a fancy installer for my application using Inno Setup, but I don't think that it is a good solution to execute 5 other setup programs from my installer. It would be annoying to the user to click "Next" button 15 times. Is there any way to do that quietly?

    Is there any way to know if you program has undefined behavior in C++ (or even C), short of memorizing the entire spec? The reason I ask is that I've noticed a lot of cases of programs working in debug but not release being due to undefined behavior. It would be nice if there were a tool to at least help spot UB, so we know there's the potential for problems.

    I remember Sun's slogan so vividly... "Write Once, Run Anywhere". The idea being that since programs are compiled into standard byte codes, any device with a Java Virtual Machine could run it. Over the years, Java seems to have made it onto many platforms/devices. Is this the intention or was it ever the intention of .NET.
