    What is the minimum number of bits needed to represent a single character of encrypted text. eg, if I wanted to encrypt the letter 'a', how many bits would I require. (assume there are many singly encrypted characters using the same key.) Am I right in thinking that it would be the size of the key. eg 256 bits?

    I am using LINQ expressions in my code like this var obj = Collection.Single(collection = (collection.ShortName.Equals("AAA"))); The problem is that this line works fine for me, no problems. But when I upload the same executable to some remote machine with same 32 bit Windows XP. The code execution is just stopping at this line of source. Can anyone help me.

    What is the safest communication method between two applications on the same machine, both Java and C/C++ clients with a Java server. Are SSL sockets safe enough or they can be broken by "man in the middle" attacks? As i saw in the documentation and code samples, JSSE retrieves private/public keys and certificates from keystore files which a malicious user can see. The only thing that you can hide in the code is the password used to unlock the keystores. Can hackers retrieve that password?

    Hi, Is it possible to somehow listen to all perforce cammands issued from my machine to the perforce server? I did some googling yesterday and found a page somewhere about a perforce proxy or broker that would intercept perforce commands and allow you to do what you wanted with them before sending them to the server...and now can't find the page!     Im using python to access a MySQL database and im getting a unknown column in field due to quotes not being around the variable. code below: cur = x.cnx.cursor() cur.execute('insert into tempPDBcode (PDBcode) values (%s);' % (s)) rows = cur.fetchall() How do i manually insert double or single quotes around the value of s? I've trying using str() and manually concatenating quotes around s but it still doesn't work. The sql statement works fine iv double and triple check my sql query.

I followed the instructions and created a file: /etc/mercurial/hgrc.d/deploy.rc it's contents: [auth] default.prefix= http://myrepo default.username = myuname default.password = pwd But when I do hg clone some_path I get abort: error: Connection refused. This chart will have multiple lines and the functionality we're looking for is when a user hovers over a line, show all datatips associated with just that series. Model doesn't have an update() method yet I cannot invoke .save() as I have a pre-save signals which messes things up.
