• Dell SP2309w not getting full resolution on Inspiron E1505

  HI Folks, i have an Inspiron E1505 with Windows 7 and Intel GMA 945 Chipset. I connected a Dell SP2309W 23" monitor via VGA to the laptop but it is not achieving it's original resolution but is stuck at 1024 x 768. Also it is detected as a Generic Non PNP Display Device. I upgraded my display driver to latest version and it fully supports Windows 7. What more can i do? Any help. Thanks a Lot in advance

• Create .gitconfig for chrooted users

  I have several chrooted users on my server, and I want to install git for specific users. I block at the command : git config --global user.name "user_name" I use this command connected as the user, and I got this error : error: could not lock config file /home/username/.gitconfig: Permission denied I tried to create the file from root, and then put chmod 755 and chown username .gitconfig, but I get the error. • iPhone surfing via USB... without wifi or data plan?

  I bought an iPhone in China, where it is manufactured without Wifi. (I would have to switch carriers to sign up for a data plan as my current Chinese carrier doesn't support surfing either... if possible I want to avoid getting yet another card though.) • MS Vista taking too long to identify Wi-Fi connection [closed]

It fails (saying something about enabling GRE). (after authenticating, hangs for a while, than give the error message.)   How do I check to see if port forward is enabled with one of my dynamic tunnels on this device? I'm having trouble using a feature in our software that requires a vpn to be used. My firewalls shows it as connected but I'm unable to ping the subnet ip. • How do I configure dual WAN links for failover on a Cisco 891?

  I have a Cisco 891 that is going to be connected to 2 WAN links, a DSL connection and a cable connection. I'm not so concerned with load balancing between them because the DSL connection speed is a drop in the bucket when compared to the cable speed though it would be nice if it worked that way. I mainly just want to force all traffic through the cable WAN link unless it goes down. I'm not really sure what feature set I should be researching.

  I have a server running Linux Mint 12 that I want to keep connected to a PPTP VPN all the time. The VPN server is pretty reliable, but it drops on occasion so I just want to make it so all internet activity is disabled if the VPN connection is broken. I'd also like to figure out a way to restart it automatically, but that's not as big of an issue since this happens pretty rarely. I also want to always be able to connect to the box from my lan, regardless of whether the VPN is up or not. • Android emulator and arduino mega 2560

  I do not have a Android phone yet. But i wanted to do proof of concept making arduino board + USB host shield work with Android emulator. Problem is pc takes only USB-A, so I decided to use USB - serial - serial USB and connect between Arduino USB shield and PC (Andoid emulator). Everything is set up including ADK, DemoKit Java application, firmware for Arduino. However, Demokit does not recognize as the device connected. So is there any workaround to this?

• Setting up a SQL server outside the domain

  Hi, im very new to this. I've set up an account "SQLBOX" thats on the a network, but not connected to the domain. I have installed an instance of SQL Server 2008 and am trying to connect to it from another machine on the network but am getting "Cannot connect to "SQLBOX"". From the "SQLBOX" i can connect to sqlservers on the domain, but not vice-versa. Any help would be grately appreciated. Sorry if the description isn't great. Thanks
