  • Writing a custom auth system (like the default django auth system), use it to generate tables in DB

    Hay all, I've been reading up on middleware and how to use it with a context object. I want to write a simple middleware class which i can use on my own applications, it will essentially be a cut down version of the django one. The problem i seem to have is that if i have INSTALLED_APPS = ('django.contrib.my_auth') in the settings file, all is well. I've also added MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES = ('django.contrib.my_auth.middleware.MyAuthMiddleware') in it and everything is fine. My question is, how would i make my middleware automatically generate tables from a models.py module, much like how the django auth does when i run manage.py syncdb? thanks

    Hello I am using MOSS with ADS. I want to display Terms of Use page before the user can login into SharePoint with two button i.e. "Accept","Decline". If user select "Accept" he will be directed to sharepoint site, if not to our companies intranet front page. This will be applicable for the current session. ie. If the user has signed off, then it should prompt the terms of use again when user hits the MOSS site but once accepted user should not get this page again until he/she signs off. Please advise.     Hi Everybody, I am writing a blackberry application and pushing screens one after another(three in series) Screen1 displays Screen2 and Screen2 displays Screen3 When i press "Back Key" on my Blackberry Device i.e., bold 9700, its prompts a dialog box with Question mark image and buttons "Save" "Discard" "Cancel".     I am using Marker Clusterer library for Google Maps API V3. Now that I have the clusterer working, I want to change the default icon to a custom one.   • Drupal base URL and root relative paths.

    I changed my Drupal base url in settings.php to " http://www.example.com/subfolder " but root relative paths are still pointing to " http://www.example.com " and not to the correct "subfolder". Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I flushed cache re-edited a couple links to make sure but they're still pointing to the root domain and not to the correct subfolder.

    I've been searching for awhile now and haven't found anything that comes close to what I'm trying to accomplish. Right now my URL's look like this: www.website.com/something which are using the root folder /index.php Now I have created plugins within folders: /plugins/PLUGINNAME/index.php I want to be able to have URLs like: www.website.com/plugins/PLUGINNAME/anything/iwant/here which are all using /plugins/PLUGINNAME/index.php and not the root directory index.php. Currently www.website.com/plugins/PLUGINNAME/ works, but anything after /PLUGINNAME/xxx defaults to the /index.php.

  • Importing Microsoft .url file to bookmark (Firefox / Mac OS)

    I ran across a situation at work the other day where we were trying to move a pile of .url files on a Windows XP machine to bookmarks under Firefox on Mac OS X 10.5.8. It proved very frustrating, as we didn't have access to the source machine anymore (where we could have exported the bookmarks properly). Does anyone have a solution for that one?
