I've followed the deployment instructions on:
http://homepages.ed.ac.uk/mcs/FirefoxADM/ADM_Deploy.pdf
I've applied some settings to a GPO:
However,
When I do GPUPDATE, log out, log back in, nothing has changed...?
Am I missing something?
I'm using Firefox 3.6.2.
I know of FireShot, a firefox extension, for saving up whole pages of images. And I love it. Great idea, and a very good implementation.
But unfortunatelly, often on this kind of sites, you have links which get lost that way. So I'm wondering, is there a way to save in the same manner whole blog posts, wiki posts, StackOverflow posts :), as PDF files, so the links get saved as well ?
When I read something I need to underscore what I like, or what I think is important, and to take notices about that read, near on that current paragraph.
So, does anyone know a Firefox add-on or something else (another browser, any other application) which can provide me such a functionality?
ps: I've tried some research tools as Zotero, but it is not what I'm looking for.
How can I combine multiple single page prints into a single print job?
For example, using Firefox on Linux one can print a web page such that each sheet of paper has four pages printed upon it. I would like to combine several separate web pages so that for example, web-page-a, web-page-b and web-page-c (each less than one print page long) are printed on a single sheet of paper.
I would like to do this without having to use some for of image editor to combine them.
Hello,
Where can i find the key combinations for some actions, in Mozilla Firefox? For example, Ctrl+L moves the cursor to the address bar. I wanna move the cursor in the Google search box, from the right-top position). Which key is associated with this?
And some other key combinations?
Thanks!
Is there a way to restart a browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc) automatically upon receiving an error such as a DNS error or Page not found?
Background: It is for a web based signage application that has intermittent network drop outs, therefore if there's no internet, and the sign tries to go to the next page, an error occurs on browser, and we get one big ugly sign. We need a way to either restart the browser, or customise displayed error messages to use javascript to try redirection to the live sign again.
This is a strange one...I have a customer for whom background colors don't show up in either Firefox or IE. For example, check out msn.com. See how theres a blue background? For my client, that background shows as white.
Any thoughts? I couldn't find any settings to affect this issue.
Is there a way to get the spell checker to properly check camel cased words? "ThisIsSpelledRightly" would be marked as spelled correctly, but "ThisIsNottSpeledRihgt" would be flagged?

I'm trying to make KeyPass run on my Windows 7 machine, I've downloaded and installed KeePass, aim to use it alongside Passifox
However, downloading and copying the KeePassHttp executable to the C:\Program Files (x86)\KeePass Password Safe folder, however it refuses to show up in the KeyPass plugins window. Please help, I've tried download KeePassHttp using multiple links from github and passifox itself using Firefox and even wget. Also I've tried pinging http://localhost:19455 but nothing was found.
Any ideas I'm at a loss.
I didn't do anything stupid like run random .exe or visit questionable websites, but as I was just Googling I get infected by Antimalware Doctor.
At that point I just shutdown my computer and reformatted, so I didn't check if I had the latest version of Flash or Firefox.
Is it possible to get infected just because I didn't have my Flash newer than 10.1 and some random flash ad infected me?
There doesn't seem to be any information on how Antimalware Doctor works asides from how to remove it.
I cant open codinghorror.com in any of my browsers (IE, Firefox & Chrome).
Chrome gives this error msg:
Error 109
(net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE):
Unknown error
What could be the problem? Im running Win XP if that matters.
Just installed on two PCs. Installation no problem, but on 2nd PC the Weave login in disabled (grayed out), so obviously the 2nd PC cannot sync Firefox until I am able to login. Any ideas?
Is it possible to remove all the unnecessary elements in a webpage. using firefox or other browsers.

hi there

Hi all!
I don't get that: as soon as I open a Webpage, whether it's with Firefox or Chrome (I hate so much IE that I didn't test with it), there are tons of TCP connexions between "localajaxchat" and a supposed google ("1e100") domain.
I've already read this topic, but my problem seems strange because there are so many TCP connexions for only one page... I don't get it.
If someone could explain this problem to me...
Thanks a lot!
I have tried using Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar Plus and Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar Firefox add-ons, but the problem is that they are constantly stressing my CPU (even when idling). It probably has something to do with version 11 of the browser. Anyway, is there some clean way to increase the height of the bookmarks toolbar?
I've read a lot of articles that refer to userChrome.css and I have tried a dozen solutions, but none worked because they were outdated. Please help me with this.
Hi,
i always like to real-time edit a web page source in the browser and updated as i type, but firebug really sucks, i can't insert scripts in the current page, some times the changes i type aren't updated at all, Is there any robust firefox/chrome extension for that?
i try to temporarely edit/add code to an existing web page in the internet, not a local one
Thanks
How do I block this particular "auto refresh" script on Drudge Report from running in my Firefox browser?
I have NoScript and AdblockPlus plugins installed, but neither of them explain how to filter out a particular script and keep it from running and leave the rest alone. I don't want to stop all javascripts from running just the one listed below.
Any help would be appreciated.
"var timer = setInterval("autoRefresh()", 1000 * 60 * 3); function autoRefresh(){self.location.reload(true);}"
What I want to achieve is:
after browsing the web page, all images on this page is downloaded to a specified directory.
Better with firefox because I'm using it.
I can browse all websites except codinghorror.com in any of my browsers (IE, Firefox & Chrome), but that site is not down.
Chrome gives this error msg:
Error 109
(net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE):
Unknown error
There's absolutely no problem with internet connectivity. I also enabled TCP/IP version-6 but the site just doesn't open. What could be the problem?
