  • What web browser engine, version, and capabilities are used to display web pages inside Visual Studio 2010?

    My company is developing a plugin/add-on for Visual Studio 2010. When the user asks to display the help for our product, we plan on opening an HTML page (or suite of pages) within Visual Studio. I'm helping to design and implement the help system. What web engine/version is used within Visual Studio 2010? According to Wikipedia it is not Trident(!). Am I allowed to load remote JavaScript content (via a <script> element)? Am I allowed to use XHR to load remote content? Will my page be trusted and have access to the FileSystemObject? I would appreciate any resources you can give me on programming specifically to the 'web' capabilities of VisualStudio2010-as-a-browser.

    My code currently looks like this: <div style="position: fixed; width: 35.25%; height: 6.75%; left: 0%; top: 4.625%; right: 64.75%; bottom: 88.625%; color: #D1E231; text-align: center; background-color: #666666; background-image: url('FleurTR.png'); background-position: right top;"> <div> The <div> shows up just fine, with the grey background color, but the background image won't show up at all. What am I missing here? There's no reason I should have to specify background-attachment or background-repeat, right? (I don't want it to repeat.)

    Hi, I have a listview which includes 2 textviews and 1 imageview. Now, the image in imageview will be set on certain conditions otherwise it should be left blank with no image. The problem is the images are not coming in proper rows. Say, for eg the image should be displayed at row 3 but its displayed at row 4. And, in some cases each row will have the same image. Has someone faced this kind of an issue? I am really clueless about the reason behind this. Can anyone point out the problem? Regards Sunil

  • Positioning divs inside a container div without the content of an upper div affecting the position o

    Hi. I'm trying to accomplish the following layout, and I'm almost there, except for the last green div, which is going lower and lower depending on the content of the content (white) div. If I set a value for the TOP property for the green div, and then I add some more text to the content div, the green div goes lower and lower. Since the green div is child to the main container div, and the green div is relatively positioned, isn't it supposed to be placed specifically at the position indicated by the TOP value of it? If I'm incorrect...can someone please tell me how can i make it so that the green div is always displayed at the same spot within the container (gray) div, regardless of the height of the content/white div? I tried to paste the css code here but was having problems with the brower. you can see the test site source/css at http://www.rae-mx.com/test tia for the help.

When I drag the draggable div on the droppables divs I want to find which droppable has been affeckted.     I can't change Firefox's menu background color using userChrome.css on Windows 7. menubar, menubutton, menulist, menu, menuitem { color: red !important; background-color: orange !important; } This seems to work as the menubar changes to red and orange. But the background-color on the actual drop down menu stays the same (that Windows 7 menu look), although the text color does change to red. Any ideas??

    I'm trying to combine multiple files in multiple input directories into a single file, for various odd reasons I won't go into. My initial try was to write a 'nul' mapper and reducer that just copied input to output, but that failed. My latest try is: vcm_hadoop lester jar /vcm/home/apps/hadoop/contrib/streaming/hadoop-*-streaming.jar -input /cruncher/201004/08/17/00 -output /lcuffcat9 -mapper /bin/cat -reducer NONE but I end up with multiple output files anyway. Anybody know how I can coax everything into a single output file?

I have tried using basic javascript functions to return the relative position but I only have access to the contentDocument since the SVG is embeded using an OBJECT tag. Because of this I cannot recurse thru the elements to find the position of the element position... Is there any native SVG functions to get the position of an element relative to the SVG element (X=0, Y=0)? Thank you, Morten!

(i'm still thinking what will be best option... refresh every 2 seconds, or maybe we can detect and refresh after 1 second of inactivity [stop typing]) 3) When user click outside textarea i want close preview div with animation. For example the PHP parser will have patch /api/parser.php and variable by POST called $_POST['message']. Any idea my digital friends ?

    I'm trying to make tiled pyramidal tiffs from master tiff images using Java (JAI 1.1.3 + imageIO). The problem is: I NEED to make tiff files compressed in jpeg with RGB photometric interpretation and no matter what I try, the image still faces YCbCr photometric interpretation. Note: if I change compression type (eg. LZW or Deflate) I can get RGB colorspace but, as I said, I need jpeg compression.     I am trying to just fade the content of section#secondary out and once the content has been faded out, the parent (section#secondary) should animate 'shut' in a slider animation. All this is working however the durations are not and I cannot figure out why. What happens is that the fadeOut uses the appropriate slow speed but as soon as the callback fires (once the content is faded out) the section#secondary animates to width: 0 within a couple of milliseconds and not the 3000 ms ( 3 sec ) I set the animation duration to. Any ideas would be appreciated. PS: I cannot post an example at this point but since this is more a matter of theory of jQuery I don't think an example is necessary here. Correct me if I am wrong..
