  I have built an application in CakePHP that lists businesses. There are about 2000 entries, and the latitude and longitude coordinates for each business is in the DB. I now am trying to tackle the search function. There will be an input box where the user can put a street address, city, or zipcode, and then I would like it to return the 11 closest businesses as found from the database. How would I go about doing this?

• Prevent drop down list options scrolling on Windows in SWT

  One of the drop down lists in my Java SWT application has 8 fixed options. When I click on it only 5 first options are visible and I have to scroll the list down to view the rest. Is there any way to force it to make all options visible without having to scroll down? There is another similar .NET application that has same drop down list with the same options and they all are visible without having to scroll down!

• Most efficient way to draw circles for polygon outlines

  I'm using OpenGL and was told I should draw circles at each vertex of my outline to get smoothness. I tried this and it works great. The problem is speed. It crippled my application to draw a circle at each vertex. I'm not sure how else to fix the anomaly of my outlines other than circles, but using display lists and trying with vertex array both were brutally slow. Thanks

The official web page lists a broken link: http://scalasbt.artifactoryonline.com/scalasbt/sbt-native-packages/org/scala-sbt/sbt//0.13.0-SNAPSHOT/sbt.tgz There is nothing about 0.13 in the directory, the link gives Error 404. Edit: Hi Thanks. close = dataobj.get_data(timestamps, symbols, closefield) Is (I assume) generating a matrix of integers (less likely strings). I need to find the size of that matrix, so I can run some tests without having to iterate through all of the elements. As far as the data type goes, I assume it's an array of arrays (or list of lists).

• Missing Required Gems - javan-whenever and cron job in rails

  Hi, I have finally managed to get javan-whenever gem working on my site5 server, and updating the crontab is quite easy, however whenever a cron job is run with the code that is generated, i get a "missing required gems" error where it lists about 8/10 of my gems. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what would the solution be. The funny thing is that when it outputs where my gems are, this is all correct, and the gems are loading fine from within my application. Cheers, Matenia
