  • Lithium: Run filter after find() to format output

    - by Housni
I wanted to specify the output of a field from within my model so I added a date key to my $_schema: models/Tags.php <?php protected $_schema = array( 'id' => array('type' => 'integer', 'key' => 'primary'), 'title' => array('type' => 'string'), 'created' => array('type' => 'integer', 'date' => 'F jS, Y - g:i a'), 'modified' => array('type' => 'integer') ); ?> I store my time as an unsigned integer in the db (output of time()). I want my base model to format any field that has the date key for output. I thought the best place to do that would be right after a find: extensions/data/Model.php <?php static::applyFilter('find', function($self, $params, $chain) { $schema = $self::schema(); $entity = $chain->next($self, $params, $chain); foreach ($schema as $field => $options) { if (array_key_exists('date', $options)) { //format as a date $params['data'][$field] = $entity->formatDate($field, $options['date']); } } return $entity; }); public function formatdate($entity, $field, $format, $timezone = 'Asia/Colombo') { $dt = new \DateTime(); $tz = new \DateTimeZone($timezone); $dt->setTimestamp($entity->$field); $dt->setTimezone($tz); return $dt->format($format); } ?> This doesn't seem to be working. When I execute a find all, this filter seems to get hit twice. The first time, $entity contains a count() of the results and only on the second hit does it contain the Records object. What am I doing wrong? How do I alter this so that simply doing <?= $tag->created; ?> in my view will format the date the way I want? This, essentially, needs to be an 'after filter', of sorts. EDIT If I can find a way to access the current model entity object (not the full namespaced path, $self contains that), I can probably solve my problem.

  • [.Net/Reflection] Getting the .Net corresponding type of a C# type

    - by Serious
Hello, is there a function that, given a C# type's string representation, returns the corresponding .Net type or .Net type's string representation; or any way to achieve this. For example : "bool" - System.Boolean or "System.Boolean" "int" - System.Int32 or "System.Int32" ... Thanks. Edit : really sorry, it's not a "type to type" mapping that I wish but either a "string to string" mapping or a "string to type" mapping.

  • Javascript: 'this' changes when assigning a property?

    - by Pickels
I know 'this' can be a problem when you don't understand Javascript well but this one got me a little puzzled. var ControlTypes = { TextBox: function () { console.log(this); this.Name = "TextBox"; console.log(this); } } ControlTypes.TextBox(); Firebug gives the following result: Object {} Object { Name="TextBox"} The first object is ControlTypes and the second one is Textbox. Could anybody explain the behavior behind this?

  • Calling an object method from an object property definition

    - by Ian
I am trying to call an object method from an object (the same object) property definition to no avail. var objectName = { method : function() { return "boop"; }, property : this.method() }; In this example I want to assign the return value of objectName.method ("boop") to objectName.property. I have tried objectName.method(), method(), window.objectName.method(), along with the bracket notation variants of all those as well, ex. this["method"], with no luck.

  • Django save_m2m() and excluded field

    - by jul
hi, in a ModelForm I replaced a field by excluding it and adding a new one with the same name, as shown below in AddRestaurantForm. When saving the form with the code shown below, I get an error in form.save_m2m() ("Truncated incorrect DOUBLE value"), which seems to be due to the function to attempt to save the tag field, while it is excluded. Is the save_m2m() function supposed to save excluded fields? Is there anything wrong in my code? • PHP Download File with Include

    - by arik-so
How can I use PHP's include function to include a file and then modify the headers so it forces - at least that's how it's called - browsers to download ITSELF (the PHP file). Is it possible to also modify the preset save name, in order to change the extension from *.php to something else? Thanks in advance!

  • Does Entity Framework currently support custom functions in the Where clause?

    - by André Pena
Entity Framework currently supports table valued functions and custom functions defined in the SSDL, but I can't find any example of it being used as a criteria, in the where clause. Example: var query = this.db.People; query = query.Where(p = FullText.ContainsInName(p.Id, "George")); In this example, ContainsInName is my custom function that I want to be executed in the where clause of the query. Is it supported?

  • How to effectively measure difference in a run-time.

    - by Knowing me knowing you
Guys, in one of the excersises in TC++PL B.S. asks to: "Write a function that either returns a value or that throws that value based on an argument. Measure the difference in run-time between the two ways." Great pity he never explaines how to measure such things. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to write simple "time start, time end" counter or maybe there are more effective and practical ways to do it? Thanks in advance.

  • Why SendMailMAPI renames file attachments to shorter ones?

    I use the following emailing function with eudora, for some reason the attachment file name is renamed to be something else, how can I make sure the attachment file name remains intact? function SendMailMAPI(const Subject, Body, FileName, SenderName, SenderEMail, RecepientName, RecepientEMail: String) : Integer; var message: TMapiMessage; lpSender, lpRecepient: TMapiRecipDesc; FileAttach: TMapiFileDesc; SM: TFNMapiSendMail; MAPIModule: HModule; begin FillChar(message, SizeOf(message), 0); with message do begin if (Subject<>'') then begin lpszSubject := PChar(Subject) end; if (Body<>'') then begin lpszNoteText := PChar(Body) end; if (SenderEMail<>'') then begin lpSender.ulRecipClass := MAPI_ORIG; if (SenderName='') then begin lpSender.lpszName := PChar(SenderEMail) end else begin lpSender.lpszName := PChar(SenderName) end; lpSender.lpszAddress := PChar('SMTP:'+SenderEMail); lpSender.ulReserved := 0; lpSender.ulEIDSize := 0; lpSender.lpEntryID := nil; lpOriginator := @lpSender; end; if (RecepientEMail<>'') then begin lpRecepient.ulRecipClass := MAPI_TO; if (RecepientName='') then begin lpRecepient.lpszName := PChar(RecepientEMail) end else begin lpRecepient.lpszName := PChar(RecepientName) end; lpRecepient.lpszAddress := PChar('SMTP:'+RecepientEMail); lpRecepient.ulReserved := 0; lpRecepient.ulEIDSize := 0; lpRecepient.lpEntryID := nil; nRecipCount := 1; lpRecips := @lpRecepient; end else begin lpRecips := nil end; if (FileName='') then begin nFileCount := 0; lpFiles := nil; end else begin FillChar(FileAttach, SizeOf(FileAttach), 0); FileAttach.nPosition := Cardinal($FFFFFFFF); FileAttach.lpszPathName := PChar(FileName); nFileCount := 1; lpFiles := @FileAttach; end; end; MAPIModule := LoadLibrary(PChar(MAPIDLL)); if MAPIModule=0 then begin Result := -1 end else begin try @SM := GetProcAddress(MAPIModule, 'MAPISendMail'); if @SM<>nil then begin Result := SM(0, Application.Handle, message, MAPI_DIALOG or MAPI_LOGON_UI, 0); end else begin Result := 1 end; finally FreeLibrary(MAPIModule); end; end; if Result<>0 then begin MessageDlg('Error sending mail ('+IntToStr(Result)+').', mtError, [mbOk], 0) end;

  • Qt - serialize/deserialaize text plus picture

    - by Narek
I want to use a field (kind of QTextEdit), which is capabale of storing picture and text (like MS Word is doing) and it serializes and deserialaizes picture+text data. Is there any Qt Widget that allows us to manipulate with picture and text simultaniously and it has set/get functions which operate with serializable type? In othger words, I want to know if there exsists any Qt widget that can store picture+text and has "get" types of function that returns the content of that widgets editable area, which is a Type that could be serialized with QDataStream.
