  I am developing a web blog using ASP.NET, but I guess that the tech details like this, here, is not important. My aim is to insert in every post I create those nice buttons to the social networks account of my visitors so that they can quote or post the link to the blog entry in their space. How can I do this? I guess it also de3pend on the social network I want to use. Lets say, now, that I want to have links to Facebook, Tweet and Google circle accounts. Thankyou.

• Pros and Cons of Facebook's React vs. Web Components (Polymer)

  What are the main benefits of Facebook's React over the upcoming Web Components spec and vice versa (or perhaps a more apples-to-apples comparison would be to Google's Polymer library)? According to this JSConf EU talk and the React homepage, the main benefits of React are: Decoupling and increased cohesion using a component model Abstraction, Composition and Expressivity Virtual DOM & Synthetic events (which basically means they completely re-implemented the DOM and its event system) Enables modern HTML5 event stuff on IE 8 Server-side rendering Testability Bindings to SVG, VML, and <canvas> Almost everything mentioned is being integrated into browsers natively through Web Components except this virtual DOM concept (obviously). I can see how the virtual DOM and synthetic events can be beneficial today to support old browsers, but isn't throwing away a huge chunk of native browser code kind of like shooting yourself in the foot in the long term? As far as modern browsers are concerned, isn't that a lot of unnecessary overhead/reinventing of the wheel? Here are some things I think React is missing that Web Components will care of. Correct me if I'm wrong. Native browser support (read "guaranteed to be faster") Write script in a scripting language, write styles in a styling language, write markup in a markup language.   I do a lot of screen print capturing, and I have just figured out how to use AutoHotKey to paste screen prints into MsPaint automatically. How to paste Print Screen on MS Paint automatically when press "PrtSc" button ? However, one small problem I have is that ... if I grabbed a screen with Alt-Prt Scr that is only 50x50 pixels, then there would be extra white margin around it, because MSPaint starts out with a larger canvas by default. How can I make it ALWAYS start with 1x1 instead?

  I think I have finally arrived at an insolvable equation: Chromium v.7 + Ubuntu 10.04 + Sun Java 6 + Webcam + Facebook + Flash 10 = non-functional All of those items listed above are potential points of failure in this situation, and any help narrowing them down would be fantastic. I am simply trying to enable webcame support directly through Facebooks website. Forum searches and the usual googling turn up few posts related to this specific equation. Two of the major suggestions include: 1) Installing the Sun (I refuse to say oracle sob)-provided Java implementation instead of the OpenJDK normally installed in ubuntu. And yes, after installing it, I did update all my default supports to use the sun commands over the openjdk. 2) Somehow enabling Facebook as a permitted site to access my webcam using Flash settings. I have not been able to explore option 2 because I cannot find a way to adjust the Flash settings in chromium 7. Other factors that do not help include the fact that I am pretty sure facebook changes its webcam interface every 10 seconds just to keep troubleshooters and support personnel on their toes. If anyone has a OTP that informs us of the next shift in the app, a leak would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

  I am using FB.ui with the display parameter set to popup. When the method is 'stream.publish', it autoresizes when the content is loaded. However, when using 'fbml.dialog' (in order to display a multi-friend selector) it shows a size that I'm not able to change (and the content is displayed cropped). I have tried with the following approaches, with no luck: FB.ui({ method: 'fbml.dialog', size: {width: 800, height: 500}, ... FB.ui({ method: 'fbml.dialog', width: 800, height: 500, ... Now I update the data in fb:dialog and want this update to be reflected the next time I update/call the dialog box. Unfortunately, the only way I've found of distributing it is giving them the raw JavaScript source, which is then problematic to add as a bookmark. Ideally, I'd use Drag this to the bookmarks bar But FBML filters out the JavaScript href. Any advice?

  I have a swf hosted at domain A, and I have a html at domain B My swf is able to be loaded from accessing the html at domain B. However, the swf gets a SecurityError: Error #2060: Security sandbox violation: ExternalInterface caller http://domainA.com/TrialApp.swf cannot access http://DomainB.com/. The as3 is just the below: ExternalInterface.call("javascript:_invite();"); I've also loaded the crossdomain policy file from Domain B during initialization. • rails accessing value from facebooker hash/array

  This is my first time using the facebooker plugin with rails, and I'm having trouble accessing user info. The website uses FB connect to authenticate users. I am trying to get the name of the university that the logged in user attends. When I use the command <%= facebook_session.user.education_history[:name] %>, I get an error "Symbol as array index". I have also tried using education_history[1], but that just returns "# Facebooker::EducationInfo:<some sort of alphanumeric hash value>" When I use something like <%= facebook_session.user.relationship_status %> , it returns the relationship status just fine. Similarly, <%= facebook_session.user.hometown_location.city %> returns the city name just fine. I've checked out the documentation for facebooker, but I can't figure out the correct way to get the values I need. Any idea on how to get this to work? Thanks!
