  • How can you avoid being asked to enter your BitBucket password when you push to BitBucket wiki?

    I'm not sure if everyone experiences this - when I edit a BitBucket wiki locally (through a git repository) I have to enter my BitBucket password for every pull and push. Is there any way around this? I have ssh correctly configured to use a key that is unlocked by gnome-keyring. Pushing to the code repository for my project in BitBucket works fine - I do not need to enter either by BitBucket or ssh key password.

  • What is a 'better' approach to query/save from server: DTO or Wcf Data Services?

    From my perspective, the Data Services and their query approach is useful when querying simple object graphs from your server-side domain model. But when you want to query complex dependencies I couldn't create anything good out of it. The classic DTO approach is fine-grained and can handle everything, but the downside is that you have to create Dto classes for every type of server-request which is time consuming and you have to synchronize the Dto type with your domain entity/business logic.

  • Check whether a folder is a local or a network resource in .NET

    Is there a quick way to check whether a path I have is on a local disk or somewhere on the network? I can't just check to see if it's a drive letter vs. UNC, because that would incorrectly identify mapped drives as local. I assumed it would be a boolean in the DirectoryInfo object, but it appears that it's not. I've found classic VB code to do this check (through an API), but nothing for .NET so far.

  • Will C++/CLI give me control over low-level devices like audio?

    I was wondering - how much limitation is there to C++/CLI compared to classic C++ (chuckle) - I was wanting to write an application that I cannot do with c# -- I was wanting to be able to connect to the PC's audio device and detect audio (for example) - Is this something I can do with C++/CLI? I have tried using NAudio with c#, but i have been able to do this. What other advantages would C++/CLI or C++ give me over c#?

On my PC, using Media Player Classic, they work normally, but on my phone they dont, all I hear is weird sounds.. the code I use to play: mediaplayer = MediaPlayer.create(getBaseContext(), Uri.parse(CurrentAyaSoundPath)); Can anyone tell me why I cant play .swf files normally?   • I wrote a new X11 keyboard layout file, how do I get my system to recognize it?

    I like to configure my keys my way, so I wrote a keyboard symbols file and I put it in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/cat I use it by running setxkbmap cat -variant dvorak (and it works), but it doesn't show up in the console configuration (dpkg-reconfigure console-setup) nor in the Gnome keyboard settings... nor anywhere else, so I have to run setxkbmap every time. I suppose that I have to register it somewhere, but where? Any hints? Thanks!

Everything works fine until I either click on a pin or change the map to a different view(satellite/road)... when I do either of these, my pins will revert back to the classic red color.     In MVC app, I am having this big object that is used in classic view/edit/create pattern. When user edits the object I save it as: public bool SetMyObject(MyObject newObject) { MyObject current = GetObjectById(newObject.Id); current.Prop1 = newObject.Prop1 ... current.PropN = newObject.PropN db.SaveChanges(); } MyObject is pretty big so I am wondering is there any better way to do this, not involving per-property assignments.   • Proper way to configure ~/.Xsession with a standalone window manager to gracefully end a session

    I'm using xdm and my ~/.Xsession looks like this: # <initialization stuff here> exec openbox It works, but I've noticed that when I log out Openbox doesn't gracefully kill all the applications. In particular Google Chrome complains about that. How can I make sure to wait for all processes to exit (just like others configurations: Gnome, KDE, Windows ...)? The only (ugly) solution that I've found involves sleep and kill into ~/.Xsession.

Something similar to autohotkey would be great, though I really don't care about all that extra autohotkey functionality. I'm just looking for text replacement that works seamlessly while I'm typing wherever I'm typing. I've heard that autohotkey runs on wine, but I'd really rather install something native to unix.
