  • Uploading multiple images through Tumblr API

    I have about 300 images I want to upload to my new Tumblr account, becuase my old wordpress site got hacked and I no longer wish to use wordpress. I uploaded one image a day for 300 days, and I'd like to be able to take these images and upload them to my tumblr site using the api. The images are currently local, stored in /images/. They all have the date they were uploaded as the first ten characters of the filename, (01-01-2009-filename.png) and I went to send this date parameter along as well. I want to be able to see the progress of the script by outputting the responses from the API to my error_log. Here is what I have so far, based on the tumblr api page. // Authorization info $tumblr_email = '[email protected]'; $tumblr_password = 'password'; // Tumblr script parameters $source_directory = "images/"; // For each file, assign the file to a pointer here's the first stumbling block. How do I get all of the images in the directory and loop through them? I also need to know how to set the data parameter, as in choosing multi-part / formdata. I also don't know anything about cURL.

    I currently use Google Reader for all my feeds and am looking for an alternative. My only requirement is that the service store a copy of the text of the feed just like Google does. If the feed site is inaccessible to any computer I am at as long as the reader site is available I can see the feed. Ok, so as it turns out I apparently do have another requirement, that it be a cloud solution.

    Is there a Google API similar to Yahoo and Bing's API's to check for the number of indexed pages on a specified domain? For example, for Yahoo if I type in the following URL: http://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/pageData?appid=MTSlade&query=http://www.dave-sellers.co.uk&domain_only=1&results=1 Then it will return some XML detailing the number of pages indexed as 'totalResultsAvailable' Any idea? The chinese input method on Mac OS works just fine, but on Windows, if I use the Google IME for example, a = z q = w etc... so it uses a qwerty layout even though my keyboard is azerty. Can I make Google IME use an azerty layout, or is there other software that uses the azerty layout instead of qwerty

    When you press the v keyboard shortcut in Google Reader, it opens a new tab. Regardless of the setting "When a new tab or window is opened, make it active" setting (Under Preferences Tabs), it becomes the frontmost tab when opened. Is there a way to have all tabs open in the background, like when you Cmd+click? (I'm aware of other alternative solutions, such as Firefox which handles this correctly, or a desktop RSS such as NetNewsWire/Vienna which have an "open links in background" option, but I like Google Reader's interface and wish to continue using it)

    The bit.ly info API returns URLs for thumbnail images. When I attempt to access these images, I receive an access denied error. How do you access the thumbnail images generated by bit.ly? EDIT: I am testing the image URL by taking the URL provided by the info API and using the browser to access. Bit.ly returns an Access Denied error code. Do I need to somehow provide the login and apikey?
