• Connecting to Google SMTP with Konica Minolta Printers

  I have spent the better portion of two days trying to get a number of Bizhub MFCs to connect to Google's SMTP service. Our company recently switched from an exchange server, which handled SMTP requests to Gmail. We have 20 branches each with different MFCs. I was able to get the Cannons connected, but the Konicas are giving me major problems. The three models that are giving me issues are the C203, C250 and the C280. I have used the following: smtp.gmail.com port 465 Gmail Username/Pass aspmx.l.google.com port 25 no authentication aspmx.l.google.com port 25 Gmail Username/Pass None of these methods are working despite the fact that all of those have worked on different makes/models. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my whit's end.

  I want to make nice and clean api; I'm making site and I want to offer the ability to mobile apps use web API of my site. I don't want to use oAuth, becouse the mobile and embedded applications that are facing the biggest hurdle, as they may not be able to bring up and/or control the web browser. Also its a little complicate. I know, that HTTP basic authorisation is not safe, but it's so simple... I want to use it in my api. I have somee users logins and their passwords (md5-encoded) in mysql base, but how to use those data in this HTTP basic authorisation?

• Running Endpoint locally could not provide access to API explorer when HTTP proxy is enabled

  I'm using Android Studio(0.5.8) on Window7 x64 for developing my Android App with Google AppEngine backend. If my machine is having direct internet access and I launch backend locally (as DevApp Server) and access my API Endpoints through webbrowser (chrome) it is all working as expected. Accessing api explorer is also working fine from webbrowser. http://localhost:8080/_ah/api/explorer But if I have configured internet through http proxy (in Android Studio and also in webbrowser) then webbrowser displays initial page of backend but can't access endpoint api explorer. And deploying appbackend in Google AppEngine also fails with errors. gradlew backend:appengineUpdate Same is working fine if direct internet access is available (not via http proxy). How can we make it work with http proxy also? Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

• Google Apps for Mail - MX entry related doubt

  I have signed up for google apps recently for my organisation. The google apps guide says that I need to edit the MX entry for my domain so that the mails get redirected to the google mail servers instead of my default mail server. But, I am having a doubt whether to edit the MX entry on my domain name provider or the hosting server. My domain name provider is godaddy.com and my server is ServInt. And, moreover, what difference does it make if I edit the MX entries on my hosting provider or my domain name provider. Thanks, niting

  When you use the Google map api, it is not part of the Android SDK, and you have to mention it in your manifest xml file. Do you have to do anything to access the jar file containing the map api code? Or is that automatically present on the device or emulator, the way the SDK code is? Do you need put the map api jar file in your class path, either when compiling or when executing? Or is it kept somewhere where it is already visible, and the requirement of an XML mention is merely to remind you of the licensing issue? Thanks, Peter

  I have been using rails for developing web applications and now i need to do design an api for iphone application and since i used respond to json it also produces json but i use devise for authentication in my web application and when i send email and password along with the api it gives out {"user":{"authentication_token":"Lsusyd27ewgasga63","email":"[email protected]"}} and there is forgot password functionality in the iphone app but in the web application when clicking on forgot password button it sends an email to the users email, whereby the user has to go to his mail and click on the link sent and it will take to the change password path and after changing it the user will be login but in this iphone app i want to send the password to the user mail and the user can use that password and login. How can i do this? Also do i have to create new controllers for api or the web application controller is enough if it respond as json? please help me.

  In the latest Hadoop Studio the 0.18 API of Hadoop is called "Stable" and the 0.20 API of Hadoop is called "Unstable". The distribution that comes from Yahoo is a 0.20 (with yahoo patches), which is apparently "the way to go". From cloudera they state the 0.20 (with cloudera patches) is also stable. Now given the fact that we'll start coding a new Hadoop project in the next few weeks; which API should we use and which Hadoop distribution (Apache, Cloudera, Yahoo, ...) should we use? • Looping through Markers with Google Maps API v3 Problem

  I'm not sure why this isn't working. I don't have any errors, but what happens is, no matter what marker I click on, it clicks the 3rd one (which is the last one out of 4 markers. Array starts at 0, obviously) and shows the number "3", which is correct for THAT one, but I'm not clicking that one. • Google maps KM bounds box reapplying itself on map zoom

  I have a map in which I apply a custom overlay using KMbox overlay to signify where I think the users general point of interest lies. What I want is to display this map to the user and allow them to click on the map to give me an exact location match of their POI. This all works fine except for when the user clicks on the map and changes the zoom of the map. • How can I create numbered map markers in Google Maps V3?

  I'm working on a map that has multiple markers on it. These markers use a custom icon, but I'd also like to add numbers on top. I've seen how this has been accomplished using older versions of the API. How can I do this in V3? *Note -- the "title" attribute creates a tooltip when you mouseover the marker, but I want something that will be layered on top of the custom image even when you're not hovering on top of it.   I often work remotely and prefer using en-us locale settings for my searches. One of our computers is located in Germany, and whenever I try to change the location in Google Search Settings, I get an answer to "Pleas enter a valid Deutschland city or zip code". I checked this post, but it doesn't apply, as my language settings en-us and the Google search language is also set to English. It clearly uses the IP address of the computer. I couldn't find an answer in the Google help pages, anyone any idea how to change it London, New-York or Amsterdam?

  I'm looking to achieve the following: For a specific person, for example BarackObama, I'd like to get the last 100 times/tweets he was mentioned. Not his own tweets but the tweets of others containing @BarackObama. In the end I'd like to have: the person who mentioned, location, datetime. This content should be written to a flat file. I've been experimenting with the Twitter API and Python, with success but haven't yet succeeded achieving the above problem. I know there is a dev sections on the twitter website but they don't provide any example of code!! https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1/get/statuses/mentions count=100 .... • Google Chrome passphrase : where is it?

  Every time I do a fresh install, Google Chrome asks me for my passphrase. Have searched high and low in Google's help forum and have yet to receive or find any form of response. When I do a fresh install, if I try to enter the passphrase (with all possible passwords i can recall) nothing works and I can't recover my extensions, bookmarks etc. On the other hand, if I wait a bit, everything falls to place. I close that window asking for passphrase and all my extensions, bookmarks are back. The failure to enter a proper passphrase code gets me a message to change my passphrase in my account settings. Who knows where that is! No one at Google's forum seems to know anything about this "passphrase".

• Google calendar sync has stopped working

  I set up Google Calendar to sync with Lightning in Thunderbird. It has worked well for the last few weeks. It has now suddenly stopped working. I have checked the CalDAV addresses and they are all still ok. I do not know if my recent addition of syncing my new Android phone with the Google Calendar has anything to do with it, or just a coincidence. When Thunderbird tries to sync, it asks for the username and password. I enter these for the Google Calendar, and end up in a continuous circle.

  Hello, I am posting this question as I couldn't find the answer (which is probably very easy, but apparently not for me) anywhere.. I am new to FreshBooks (no only the API) and I want to use it for some automatically generated invoices. I was trying to run some of the source code examples (the PHP and JS libraries in particular): http://developers.freshbooks.com/api/samplecode/ The problem is that I get an error message: "Connection error" Do I need to set up anything else in the example files besides my API and token obtained from the FreshBooks site? • Google SketchUp network licensing issue

  We have 10 licenses for Google SketchUp in my local office. We store the license file on a network drive that is accessible to all users. We've been finding that, at most, only 3 or 4 people can run it at one time before the license shows up as "expired" on another user's system. I've verified with Google that we have 10 licenses, and have downloaded updated license files from them. The only thing that I can think of is that sometimes SketchUp crashes. Could this be utilizing a license somehow without giving it up? Google has not been able to answer this question.

These sites need to be able to send outbound mail for notifications such as password reminders. We started using Google Apps for this purpose, but lately we are having tremendous problems with mailing, especially to hotmail. I added the SPF record as required. Mxtoolbox says my domains are not in any blacklists. I was told to contact https://postmaster.live.com/snds/addnetwork.aspx and add my network. Given that I am using google's mail servers for sending mail, should I add their IP address for registering my domain? Or should I add my server's IP even though I am not hosting the mail server on it? • Reduce file size for charts pasted from excel into word

  I have been creating reports by copying some charts and data from an excel document into a word document. I am pasting into a content control, so i use ChartObject.CopyPicture in excel and ContentControl.Range.Paste in word. Next cc End With Creating these reports using Office 2007 yielded files that were around 6MB, but creating them (using the same worksheet and document) in Office 2010 yields a file that is around 10 times as large. After unzipping the docx, I found that the extra size comes from emf files that correspond to charts that are pasted in using VBA. Where they range from 360 to 900 KB before, they are 5-18 MB. And the graphics are not visibly better. I am able to CopyPicture with the format xlBitmap, and while that is somewhat smaller, it is larger than the emf generated by Office 2007 and noticeably poorer quality. Are there any other options for reducing the file size? Ideally, I would like to produce a file with the same resolution for the charts as I did using Office 2007. Is there any way that uses VBA only (without modifying the charts in the spreadsheet)?

• Pass variable to Info Window in FusionTableLayer

  I am building a web application that includes a Google Map layered with data from a Google Fusion Table. I have defined the info window for the markers in the Fusion Table and all is rendering as expected, but I have one issue. I need to pass a session variable from my web application to be included in the links that are defined in the info window, but can't seem to find a way to do this. • Google document does not print correctly on Mac 10.7.5 using Chrome

  When attempting to print a Google document, the header does not get printed at all and the text starts almost in the center of the page - cutting off almost half of the text in the printable area horizontally. The vertical alignment appears fine, with the exception of hte missing header. I have searched the product forums at Google, but they are virtually unusable. Endless threads without a solution! For reference, the document prints fine from Windows XP using Chrome. I can also print from other applications on the Mac without issue - so I am thinking it's a Google doc issue at this point.
