    My linux (fedora red hat 7) virtual dedicated server has been experiencing OOM multiple times a day for the past several days. I thought the issue was with spamd/spamassassin but after disabling this the errors remains. The highest usage displayed on ps faux --cumulative: USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT START TIME COMMAND root 28412 8.7 0.5 309572 109308 ? Sl 22:15 0:17 /usr/java/jdk1. mysql 7716 0.0 0.0 136256 18000 ? Sl 22:12 0:00 _ /usr/libexe named 17697 0.0 0.0 120904 15316 ? Ssl 22:09 0:00 /usr/sbin/named I'm not running any java applications so I'm not sure why the top issue is showing up. It is frustrating as I barely have anything running on the server and use the tiniest fraction of bandwidth. Any help or suggestions on zeroing in on the source of the drain would be much appreciated! Thanks!

  • Transferring a flat file database to a MySQL database

    I have a flat file database (yeah gross I know - the worst part is that it's 1.4GB), and I'm in the process of moving it to a MySQL database. The problem is that I'm not sure how to go about doing this - and I've checked through every related question on here but none relate to what I want to do, nor how my database is currently setup. My current flat file database is setup to where a normal MySQL row is its own file, and a MySQL table would be the directory. So for example if you have a user named Jon, there would be a file for the user in a directory named /members/. Within that file would be various information for the user including the users id, rank etc - all separated by tabs, all on separate lines (userid\t4). So here's an example user file: userid 4 notes staff notes: bla bla staff2 notes: bla bla bla username Example So how can I convert the above into their own rows and fields in MySQL? And if possible, could I do thousands of these files at once? Thanks.

    Hi all, I wanted to have users within my website to have their own URL like http://mysite.com/username (similar to GitHub, e.g. my account is http:// github. com/sr3d). This would help with SEO since every profile is under the same domain, as apposed to the sub-domain approach. My site is running on Rails and Nginx/Passenger. Currently I have a solution using a bunch of rewrite in the nginx.conf file, and hard-coded controller names (with namespace support as well). I can share include the nginx.conf here if you guys want to take a look. I wanted to know if there's a better way of making the URL pretty like that.   • Install a file which should be removed only on real uninstall and never overwritten

    When I install my application, along with the binaries, a conf file is installed that the user can change as he needs (it's actually the user data file). I would like this file to not be overwritten or deleted when a repair, upgrade, modify happens and it should be deleted only when a real uninstall happens. In other words: this conf file is installed along with the binaries and should never be touched again (overwritten/deleted) until a real uninstall happens (not repairs, modifies, upgrades) in which case it should be deleted. So I was thinking of doing: <Component Id="aaa.cfg" Guid="GUID"> <File Id="aaa.cfg" Source="aaa.cfg" KeyPath="yes" /> </Component> But I don't know how could I condition the component so that: 1) the component to be removed only on a real uninstall - not upgrades, repairs, modifies? 2) the file should in no case be overwritten if already exists.     Hello there, I'm experimenting with C# 4.0's dynamic object model. I've created an abstract class named "Block" that inherits from DynamicObject. It overrides TryGetMember and TrySetMember. Furthermore I've created a usable class named "Brush" that inherits from "Block". I want it to be usable dynamically. But when I create a dynamic object from it and try to access a runtime bound member, it pelts me with an exception telling me that the member doesn't exist. The overridden TryGetMember or TrySetMember methods of the abstract parent class aren't getting called. Is this behaviour to be expected? Thank you!

The GetUserForm has 2 controls: combobox named cmbUser, with a list of 2 values button named btnOK Nothing has been done to the GetUserForm class itself. The class contains: public partial class GetUserForm : Form { public STAMP_GetUser() { InitializeComponent(); } } GetUserForm f = new GetUserForm(); f.ShowDialog(); // not sure how to access the combobox selected value? Do I need to initialize something in the class? Or can I access the controls on the form using the 'f' variable above?

  • Java service wrapper and additional application command line parameters

    I'm currently using java service wrapper to wrap a java application that I've developed. I'm needing to ability to pass in additional command line parameters to my application through the java service wrapper. Pretend my app is called myapp and I've setup java service wrapper so that the script I run to start is called myapp. I'd like to be able to do something like this: ./myapp start Parameter1 parameter2 and have those additional parameters get passed into my application. Any ideas how to do this? I'm finding that googling and looking at the documentation is only pulling up how to use command line arguments to setup java service wrapper. I've had difficulty finding anything about passing command line arguments to your application except for having them hard coded in your wrapper.conf file. Right now I feel like my option is to take the additional command line parameters, set them to environment variables and have those hard coded in the wrapper.conf. I'd prefer not to go down that road though and am hoping I've overlooked something.

    I would like to convert any instances of a hashtag in a String into a linked URL: #hashtag - should have "#hashtag" linked. This is a #hashtag - should have "#hashtag" linked. This is a [url=http://www.mysite.com/#name]named anchor[/url] - should not be linked. This isn&#39;t a pretty way to use quotes - should not be linked.     I have some textboxes on a webform that have ids like this: txtFinalDeadline_1 txtFinalDeadline_2 txtFinalDeadline_3 txtFinalDeadline_4 In my jQuery how do I find all of those in order to assign a value to them. Before I had the underscore and they were all named txtFinalDeadline I could do this and it worked. $(this).find("#txtFinalDeadline").val(formatDate); However, that was when they were all named the same thing. Now I have the _x after the name and I'm not sure how to go about assigning that same value as before to them. Thanks.

    I configured properties for my django project under pydev. I can run the django app under pydev or under console window. I can also run unittest for app under console window. But I have problems to run unittest under pydev. I guess it's something related to run configurations of pydev, so I made several trials, but with no success. Once I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'D:\django_projects\MyProject' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named D:\django_projects\MyProject ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. Another time I got messages like this: ImportError: Could not import settings 'MyProject.settngs' (Is it on sys.path? Does it have syntax errors?): No module named settngs 'ERROR: Module: MyUnittestFile could not be imported. I use pydev 1.5.6 on eclipse and windows xp. Any ideas for this problem?

    Suppose I have a datawindow object which is attached to a datawindow control named 'dw_detail". This object uses grid presentation style and has a database column named 'found'. Now when a user modifies that column's value, I want to compare it with the original value that was fetched from the database. I know I can access the value of that column as 'dw_detail.object.found[row_no]'. Now I am trying to access the original value of the column as 'dw_detail.object.found.original[row_no]', but it is not working. It is not giving any compiling error, but when I debugged, 'dw_detail.object.found.original[row_no]' contains no values. How can I access the original value of that column?

    Hi all, I am currently working on a multi branch desktop based project using VB.NET 2008. My Admin want to see the list of currently working branches and not working branches. Additionally they want to know how long a branch is not working. To display the offline branches I first take a ListBox control named lstListBranch and then upon that control I take another ListBox control named lstListTime to display the offline time. I want to permanently hide the scrollbar for lstListTime control and want to scroll lstListTime when lstListBranch is scrolled. Can anyone help me in that purpose? Thanks in advance.

    Hi I've created a new WorkItem named Project that contains a field named business owner which can be any domain user. The field was created using the WorkItem XML syntax using the tag. I have a problem that only TFS valid users (as the name suggests :)) show up the the combobox in the Visual Studio form. Is there any way for me to let that box contain all domain users without having to give all users some tfs read access ? If not then what is the minimum access that I can apply in TFS that I can give to all domain users ? Or is there some other way that I can't notice ?

    I have a DataTable (instance named: TimeTable) whose DefaultView (instance named: TimeTableView) I am trying to use to filter based on a date. Column clock_in contains an ISO8601 formatted string. I would like to select all the rows in this DataTable/DefaultView between 2009-10-08T08:22:02Z and 2009-10-08T20:22:02Z. What would I have to filter on this criteria? I tried: TimeTableView = TimeTable.DefaultView; TimeTableView.RowFilter = "clock_in >= #2009-10-08T08:22:02Z# and #2009-10-08T20:22:02Z#"; This is not working for me. Am I operating on the wrong object or is my filter syntax wrong?

    I am applying NHibernate to an existing project, where tables and columns are already defined and fixed. The database is MS-SQL-2008. NHibernate 2.1.2 Many tables have a column of type timestamp named "ReplicationID", and also a column of type datetime named "UpdatedDT". I understand I might be able to use the element of the mapping file to describe the "ReplicationID" column which will allow NHibernate to manage that column. Is it possible to make NHibernate automatically update the UpdatedDT column when the row is updated? I suppose I could try mapping the UpdatedDT property to be of type timestamp, but that have other side effects.

  • Nginx 500 Internal Server error on subdirectory

    I'm getting a 500 Internal Server error only on sub directories. For example, If my website is example.com, example.com/index.php works. But example.com/phpbb/index.php doesn't work. It just turns up a blank php page. The HTTP header shows HTTP error 500 Internal Server error. If I enter example.com/phpbb/index.php/somedirectory, the index.php of my root directory shows up. This is all very strange. I have tried searching etc but nothing worked. tried re-installing nginx but not fixed. I'm sure I got the DNS configured right.   • Separate functionality depending on Role in ASP.NET MVC

    I'm looking for an elegant pattern to solve this problem: I have several user roles in my system, and for many of my controller actions, I need to deal with slightly different data. For example, take /Users/Edit/1 This allows a Moderator to edit a users email address, but Administrators to edit a user's email address and password. I'd like a design for separating the two different bits of action code for the GET and the POST. Solutions I've come up with so far are: Switch inside each method, however this doesn't really help when i want different model arguments on the POST :( Custom controller factory which chooses a UsersController_ForModerators and UsersController_ForAdmins instead of just UsersController from the controller name and current user role Custom action invoker which choose the Edit_ForModerators method in a similar way to above Have an IUsersController and register a different implementation of it in my IoC container as a named instance based on Role Build an implementation of the controller at runtime using Castle DynamicProxy and manipulate the methods to those from role-based implementations Im preferring the named IoC instance route atm as it means all my urls/routing will work seamlessly. Ideas? Suggestions?
