  • Outlook: How to set default picture style?

    I always use the same picture style when pasting (not attaching) images into e-mails in Outlook 2007. Even with the Ribbon, setting this style every time is a 4-click process. Is there anyway to set a picture style (Picture Tools | Format Picture Styles) as default on every paste, preferably without creating a macro?

  • multiple puppet masters set up using inventory

    I have managed to set up multiple puppet masters with one puppet master acting as a CA and clients are able to get a certificate from this CA server but use their designated puppet master to get their manifests. See this question for more info.. multiple puppet masters. However, there are a couple of things I have had to do to get this working correctly and have an error which I'll get to. First of all, to get inventory working for a puppet-client (PC) connecting to its designated puppet-master (PM), I had to copy the CA certs on PM1 to the PM2 ca directory. I ran this command: scp [email protected]:/var/lib/puppet/ssl/ca/* [email protected]:/var/lib/puppet/ssl/ca/. Once i have done that, I was able to uncomment the SSLCertificateChainFile, SSLCACertificateFile & SSLCARevocationFile section of my rack.conf VH file on the PM2. Once I had done this, inventory started to work. Does this sound an acceptable way to do things? Secondly, in the puppet.conf file, I am setting the designated PM server for that client. Unless there is a better way, this is how it'll work in my production setup. So PC1 will talk to PM1 and PC2 will talk to PM2. This is where I have an error. When PC2 first requests a cert from the CA on PM1, the cert appears and then I sign the cert on the CA on PM1. When I then do a puppet agent --test on PC2 (which has server = PM2 in puppet.conf), I get this error: Warning: Unable to fetch my node definition, but the agent run will continue: Warning: Error 403 on SERVER: Forbidden request: puppet-master2.test.net(10.1.1.161) access to /certificate_revocation_list/ca [find] at :112 However, if I change the PC2 puppet.conf file and specify server = PM1 and the rerun puppet agent --test, i do not get any errors. I can then revert the change in the puppet.conf file back to server = PM2 and everything seems to run normally. Do I have to set up some kind of ProxyPassMatch on PM2 for requests made from clients to /certificate_revocation_list/* and redirect them to PM1? Or how can I fix this error? Cheers, Oli

    I see the option in Visio 2003 to only trust macros stored in trusted locations, but I can't find any way to set up what these trusted locations are. My problem is I have a template file that's not signed in the VBA project but the VBA project is locked (so I can't just sign it myself). So, there are only two ways I can stop the warning: lower my security settings so anything with macros will run (not a good idea) Tell Visio that the template is in a trusted location (if this is even possible)

  • Is there a SIP provider in the UK which provides the P-Asserted-Identity header?

    In the US, Flowroute (low cost SIP trunking provider) provides P-Asserted-Identity in the SIP invite request header (example screenshots). It also allows you to set the caller ID for outgoing calls, for example by using the follow in extensions.conf for Asterisk: exten => id,n,Set(CALLERID(all)=123) However, in the UK, I've tried a couple of SIP providers and none of them let me do either of those things (see P-Asserted-Identity or set the caller-ID). Is this because of some sort of restriction in the UK phone networks, or is it only available to really expensive SIP trunking providers?

Here I'm returning column 7. How can I paste the cells and auto increment the value where "7" is. In other words I need to paste that summary formula on several hundred cells and change the number 7 for each.

  • Problem inserting pre-ordered values to quadtree

    There's this string containing B, W and G (standing for black, white and gray). It defines the pre-ordered path of the quadtree I want to build. I wrote this method for filling the QuadTree class I also wrote but it doesn't work, it inserts correctly until it reaches a point in the algorithm it needs to "return". I use math quadrants convention order for insertion, such as northeast, northwest, southwest and southeast. To be more specific, we are telecommunication company and this program handle call/internet serfing transaction made by every mobile phone users in our city. Because the amount of download content made by the iphone users is just too much, our program cannot handle them fast enough. The situation is, the amount of transaction made by users are double of the transaction processed by our program. Most of the running time of the program are dominated by DB transactions. I've search through the internet and browsed some sites ( for example: http://www.javaperformancetuning.com/tips/rawtips.shtml ) talking about java performace in DB, but I cannot find a suggestion suitable for us. these advices are not applicable/already used, for instance: 1)Use prepared statements. Use parametrized SQL Already used prepared statement. Each time will use different parameter by clear parameters and set parameters. 2)Tune the SQL to minimize the data returned (e.g. not 'SELECT *'). Sure, already used. 3)Use connection pooling. We hold a single connection during the program's execution. And I doubt that pooling cannot solve the problem because our program act as 1 user, so there are no problem for concurrent access to DB. If anyone of you think pooling is good, please tell me why. Thanks. 4)Try to combine queries and batch updates. Cannot do it. Every query/insert/update is depend on the database's information. For example, we look up the DB for the client's information, if we cannot find his usage, we insert the usage into DB, otherwise we do update. 5)Close resources (Connections, Statements, ResultSets) when finished Sure. 6)Select the fastest JDBC driver. I don't know. I've search on the internet about the type of driver available and I am very confused. We use oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver and we use thin instead of oci, that's all I know. In addition, our program is a two-tier way ( java <- oracle ) 7)turn off auto-commit already done that. Looking forwards to any helps, thank you very much.

  • T-SQL (SCD) Slowly Changing Dimension Type 2 using a merge statement

    Working on stored procedure recently which loads records into a data warehouse I found that the existing record was being expired using an update statement followed by an insert to add the new active record. Playing around with the merge statement you can actually expire the current record and insert a new record within one clean statement. This is how the statement works, we do the normal merge statement to insert a record when there is no match, if we match the record we update the existing record by expiring it and deactivating. At the end of the merge statement we use the output statement to output the staging values for the update,  we wrap the whole merge statement within an insert statement and add new rows for the records which we inserted.     I have recently upgraded from Expression 2 to 3. It's much better, but I cannot get the Thesaurus to work. It worked fine before the upgrade. Precise error message 'No thesaurus is available for English (United Kingkdom)' I am indeed, in the UK. I have set Tools Page Editor Options to first UK and then USA - no joy. In truth I don't mind the US thesaurus, it would certainly beat 'No thesaurus'

    Working on Vista & Window 7, I use Winamp 5.57 for listening to mp3 and VLC player for watching movies. I made those two as my default players for corresponding media respectively. But when I launch winamp for playing mp3, some of the video files( like .flv, etc.,) automatically get changed the file opening mode to winamp player. This happens every time even if I set it back to 'default program'. Can someone please help me out.
