    I want to get input from a barcode-scanner, which is connected to a CHD cash register, which is connected to a Windows XP PC trough a COM port. I want to read the data from the scanner and the cash register, and send the data to a program, which has a table with items in a shop. And provide a function which removes items, too. Where should I start? Is there a code in Delphi or Java, that can get that data into a program?

    I am currently using this ajax queuing plugin http://www.onemoretake.com/2009/10/11/ajaxqueue-and-jquery-1-3/ and it works fine, except weh ajax call 1 finishes, ajax call 2 starts that is dependent on a value that the success functions generates when ajax 1 is complete. Is there a way to start of all ajax calls when the previous call is complete and success function has been run? thanks

  • Typedef in C# across several source files

    I am writing a C wrapper an would like to use a typedef aquivalent to define some types which should be valid in quite a lot of source files. Those "types" are just different aliases to [u]int16/32/64_t, but are useful to distinguish function parameters. One could use using MyId=System.Int32;, but this needs to be redeclared in every file as far as I see... Is there a better way?

    Is there a reason as to why $map = directory_map('./', TRUE); works perfectly and, $map = directory_map('../', TRUE); doesn’t work at all? I tried creating a directory with the basic mkdir(); PHP function (http://php.net/mkdir) and it didn’t work either.     If I'm using a canvas to display data and I want the user to be able to click on various items on the canvas in order to get more information or interact with it in some way, whats the best way of going about this? Searching online I can find information about how to bind events to tags but that seems to be more indirect then what I want. I don't want to group items with tags, but rather have specific function calls when the user clicks specific items on the canvas.
