• Callback for When jqGrid Finishes Reloading?

  Hi, I am using the jqGrid plug-in and at one point I need to refresh the grid and set the selected row to match the record that I am showing in detail on another section of the page. I have the following code but it does not work: $("#AllActions").trigger("reloadGrid").setSelection(selectedRow); The selectedRow parameter comes from an event handler that gets called when the data is changed and the grid needs to be updated. I'm pretty sure that the problem is that the grid is not loaded when the selection is being set, because if I put a call to alert() between the calls to trigger() and setSelection(), it works. • Best method for Binding ComboBox

  I am going to be developing a large project which will include a large number of ComboBoxes. Most of these combo boxes will be bound to a database field which is a related to another daataset/table. For instance. I have the following 2 tables: Company {CompanyID, CompanyName, MainContact} Contacts {ContactID, ContactName} And when the user clicks to edit a company, A TextBox will be there to edit a company name, but also a ComboBox will be there. The way I am currently doing it is binding the ComboBox to the Contacts dataset, and manually updating the Company MainContact field in code behind. Is there anyway for me to bind the selected item to the Company MainContact field in XAML and the items to the ContactName and eliminate the code behind? Reason for this is when you start making 100's combo boxes all over the application it gets long winded each time creating code behind to do the update.

  This is not real, it's just a project i'm working on I've created a Hotel Management system in C# WindowsForm, it allows staff members to Add/Edit/Update Rooms,Reservation and Customers etc. Along side this Windows-form i'm creating an ASP.net WebSite where customers should be able to register and reserve rooms online. I've come to the point where i need to create some-type of membership method for this website which should correspond to the membership of the windows form. However i'm not sure what method of membership would be best suited for this, i have looked into the asp.net membership, it's what i want however it creates it's own schema and i don't know how i can relate the information to my customers table and c#windows form. I would ideally like it to resemble a real-life situation as much as possible anyway, am i going about this the wrong way? in terms of the c# windows-form what other technology would a business use to manage a system like this where they can add/edit/update there system and have a website which relates. What are my options here?

  Hello, I'm writing an application that runs "things" to a schedule. Idea being that the database contains assembly, method information and also the parameter values. The timer will come along, reflect the method to be run, add the parameters and then execute the method. Everything is fine except for the parameters. So, lets say the method accepts an ENUM of CustomerType where CustomerType has two values of CustomerType.Master and CustomerType.Associate. EDIT I don't the type of parameter that will be getting passed in. ENUM used as an example END OF EDIT We want to run Method "X" and pass in parameter "CustomerType.Master". In the database, there will be a varchar entry of "CustomerType.Master". How do I convert the string "CustomerType.Master" into a type of CustomerType with a value of "Master" generically?   I have a data view webpart of some other list on my Dispform.aspx page. I have added edit and create new links in it. Create new item link is workin fine but when I m clicking on edit, its showing me error: No item exist at http:....listname/Dispform.aspx?ID=1&Source=http://...listname/Allitems.aspx. It may have been deleted or renamed by other user. I found this post related to it. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointcustomization/thread/e368d7c7-8878-4f74-a62b-9ebad50c6b9a But now in my case the problem is I don't wanna customize Allitems.aspx, and what I have understood in the above post guys have suggested that to change the query string.I can only customize DispForm.aspx. Now the query string which is passing by default is ID=@ID from Allitems.aspx to DispForm.aspx...and I have to use this ID query string variable in my parameter if I m passing it on to the next page. • Show file extensions in document libraries in Sharepoint 2010

  I've got a Sharepoint site collection with several sub sites each having their own document library. Now I want to add the file extensions to the document names in all those libraries. How should I do this? I've seen tips telling you to modify the onet.xml-file, but they never look like mine do, and furthermore I don't know for sure what happens to that onet.xml-file - does it change the existing libraries? Other tips tell me to use Sharepoint designer, that would mean I'll have to do it for every view in every library, wouldn't it? So I'd prefer doing it from code, where I feel more comfortable and where I can automate the process. So, all I want is to replace the "Name (linked to document with edit menu)" with the "Name (for use in forms)" but still keep the link and the edit menu. I've found I need to use the FileLeafRef-field, but I don't know how! Thankful for any new clues, Sebastian

I want to split A1 by these names while copying over the values from B1 and C1 into the split columns of A1. For example, I have this: (A1 B1 C1) bob,sam,bill 99 10 I want to have this: bob 99 10 sam 99 10 bill 99 10 I am also doing this on Google Sheets, I tried using combinations of Split, Join, and Transpose but can't seem to figure it out.   Using ASP.NET VB, I have a form with some text boxes and a Gridview. If a user clicks the Edit button on a row in the gridview, and then tries to submit the form with a row still in edit mode on the Gridview, this error is generated - "Invalid postback or callback argument. Event validation is enabled using in configuration or <%@ Page EnableEventValidation="true" % in a page. For security purposes, this feature verifies that arguments to postback or callback events originate from the server control that originally rendered them. If the data is valid and expected, use the ClientScriptManager.RegisterForEventValidation method in order to register the postback or callback data for validation. " Any idea how to prevent this error??

  Hi, *************EDIT********** i am using ODBC and found that can not read more than 4096 for a field Any suggestions *************EDIT************ i am reading an image from db $image=$row["image-contents"]; Now try to write the file to disk $image_name="test.jpg"; $file = fopen( "images/".$image_name, "w" ); fwrite( $file, $image); fclose( $file ); The problem is that the file created is only 4096 bytes and the image file is corrupt because $image is larger than 4096. I now that fwrite use blocks for write but i dont know how do it. Help plz!

  I need to compare two dates to show an edit link if it is within 5 mins after the post was made, in php. If after 5 mins dont show anything. $answer_post_date = get_the_time("Y-m-d"); $current_date = date("Y-m-d"); $formated_current_date = strtotime($answer_post_date); $formated_answer_post_date = strtotime($current_date); At this point i have two values: 1274414400 ($formated_current_date) 1276056000 ($formated_answer_post_date) I am not sure what to do next to check if the current date/time is ! 5 mins from answer post date. Any suggestions would be great All i really need the answer to be is a Boolean (yes/no) and if yes display the minuets left to show the link to edit.

  Hi Everyone, I have number of select lists in my rails application like this: <li>Company<span><%= f.select :company_id, Company.all.collect {|m| [m.companyname, m.id]} %></span></li> They all work well, except - sometimes if you go to the edit view, the select list reverts to the top item, not the item that was chosen when creating. So if you go to an edit view and then click update without actually making any changes, the lists default to the top item - even though you didn't touch them. Is there a way around this? • Avoid postback on gridview event

  1 I've got popup (using javascript) working in a kind of gridview. When you click a button on one grid, it displays a popup window containing another grid of information, based on the row clicked in the first grid. This works well... I've enabled editing in the grid that is popped up. When you click edit though, the popup window disappears. If I click the display button in the first grid though to bring the popup window visible again it displays, and is now in edit mode. Is there a way to make postbacks in the popup not close the popup?

Using jQuery is not always an option (or even a want) which can make understanding the examples of javascript solutions written in jQuery hard.   The django admin allows you to specify fieldsets. You properly structure a tuple that groups different fields together. You can also specify classes for certain groups of fields. One of those classes is collapse, which will hide the field under a collapsable area. This is good for hiding rarely used or advanced fields to keep the UI clean. However, I have a situation where I want to hide just one lonesome field on many different apps. This will be a lot of typing to create a full fieldset specification in every admin.py file just to put one field into the collapsed area. It also creates a difficult maintenance situation because I will have to edit the fieldset every time I edit the associated model. I can easily exclude the field entirely using the exclude option. I want something similar for collapse. Is this possible?

  I've been working through the tutorial for the past few days, and finally hit a snag in chapter 7. It is in this step where the line in routes.rb: get "users/new" is replaced with resource :users After I do this, I get a routing error when visiting http://localhost:3000/users/1 - No route matches [GET] "/users/1" instead of the other "Unknown Action" error shown here. I also have an edit function, so when i edit a record, i want the combo box to be populated by what is already saved.   Hey Guys, I've been trying to write a CCK Field based on the Text field. But if I create a standard CCK Text field with only 1 value. Then edit a content item for this type, the values are never persisted. When I go back in and edit the same node, the value isn't there. I checked the database and its not in the table for the CCK node. If I use more than one value it works fine. I'm upto date on CCK (6.x-2.6) and CTools (6.x-1.5). Has anyone seen this? and a possible solution?

• Paging Recordsets from SQL Serverside

  I've been banging my head off this one for a while. I want to call 1k records from a SQL database and page them per 100. In classic ASP (where I'm moving from) this was dead easy to do with ADODB but with VB using ADO.net I can't find a single way that doesn't involve stored procs (which I want to avoid for now). It seems really stupid to call all 1k and sort it programmatically. Edit: It's SQL Server 2005 / .net 4.0 / Visual Studio 2010. Edit 2: Just to reiterate, I have Googled extensively and don't want to use stored procedures. There are many ways to get paged data but everything I see involves paging the data in the program rather than from the server.
